I started germination of 4 Gelat.Og beans on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cubes with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plugs were just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made holes. Than I sowed my beans into the holes. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up. Lightly filled the holes in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plugs into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination.
Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see some sprouts. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plugs planted into some 1 gallon pots. Plus get these ladies situated into their home. Cant wait!
Some background information on my experience with Gelat.Og. I've grown this one out several times and I'm just absolutely in love with these genetics. One of the best terp pallets I've came across. Extremely creamy and rich aroma with a kush kick... majestic!
She packs amazing bud structure and is a real branchy hauler. She packs a pretty large stretch, about 200% on average. Plus she has a bit longer of a flower time for a indica dominant... in my experience about 11 weeks.
She gets a strong demand for more phosphorus mid flower. A good spike with the pk booster and shes happy as Larry! Another Seedsman masterpiece right her! Amped to dive In to this grow.
Day 1
After 4 days of germination time, I got action!
So I planted my sprouts plugs into 1 gallon pots. The pot were filled with promix hp that I pre moistened with ph balanced water. Now It's time for these ladies to stretch their legs. Forming a solid root structre to support the rapid growth of a cannabis plant. Their main focus will be below soil for the first few days. My main focus will be a solid wet to dry cycle for these ladies to really thrive! Their needs are very minimal and easy going at this point. Too much or too little water is really the only non environmental factor that can lead this to a poor start. So I'm going to have to be on point lol.
Day 2
Sprouts are looking green vibrant and healthy. I turned on all the humidifiers to battle the dry air from this latest cold snap. After the equipment tweaking it has got even drier outside! The environment has stayed stable so I got my gear right were I need it for the next couple weeks.
Day 4
These ladies got a nice shot of water today. Their first watering since being planted. 500ml of ph balanced water to 6.4. They are happy and content.
These ladies are off to a good start. Starting to stack up some new nodes. Well fattening up there single bladed daggers. I have really had em on a great wet to dry cycle. Making it easy for them to get off to a solid start.
I've tightly monitored and have kept environment dialed in. Growth should really start to pick up now that they've really settled in. These ladies got a nice lower strength dose of feed. It's their first taste so I started nice and low. Break these girls into a healthy diet.
This is my first time using this brand of nutrients. So I'm going to be working on dialing in a feeding regime. Plus creating a week by week chart for myself. I love trying new things so this will definitely be fun!
Growth has been strong and steady. Starting to see lots of new nodes and foliage. I will give em 1 more week in this pot and than I will transplant into 5 gallon containers.
They got their nutrients bumped up a bit. I am slowly elevating the levels as the need and demand rises. Response was great, they had a nice growth spurt following the feed. Just what I like to see.
These ladies are booming right along! Growth is very strong and it was time for a transplant. I got them out of the 1 gallons and into 5 gallon pots. We used sunshine mix #4 to transplant with. Roots were exploding from everywhere. Some very Solid root systems are already in play.
I also upped their feed dose again. This will basically be the tops for veg. I will stick with this for 2 weeks. Than make the flip for bloom. At that time I will get them on a transition feed diet. Until next time happy growing and stay lit fam!
Update***
Preventative treatment of lost coast plant theropy was applied. Response was great.
Gotta keep it nice and clean up in here.
Hella strong week of growth! These ladies just took off in force. We kept the nute mix the same as last week. Its exactly what the doctor ordered. I Adjusted the lighting to keep a nice 30 inch gap. Girls are just Flourishing.
They've been treated a few times now with my IPM rotation. So today they got a good shower! Washed their foliage clean of the VERY minimal residual build up. Used ph balanced water. Get those pores clean up for the ladies.
Last week of veg and imma make the flip. Going for a solid compact canopy. Cant let em get to big and out of hand during stretch lmfao.
Until next update happy growing and stay lit fam.
Update***
Watered the ladies with straight ph balanced water to 6.4 mid week. After I treated using Dr Zhymes. Following day after treatment the ladys got another shower. Until next update... Happy growing and stay lit fam.
These ladies went off again! Continued to explode with growth in volumes. Just absolutely rocketing through veg. So I had to call it a wrap. Giving them the flip to flower to start off this week.
I gave them a bit of a transition feeding. That will get altered again at the end of the week feeding. They got treated again with lost coast. They will get a good shower tomorrow to clean the minimal residual. That has managed to build up over the last couple treatments.
I'm excited to kick into bloom. Until next update happy growing and stay lit fam.
Update***
Did a topping to reduce vertical stretch of the main stalk during transition. Also treated using dr zhymes for preventative measures.
These ladies are half way through the stretch and just booming with vigor. Topping really helped minimize canopy stretch. Really getting these ladies to extend their side branching and fill out. As opposed to become huge Christmas trees on me. Hopefully mid week I can do a little under skirt clean up. We will see how my times breaks up.
I preventative treated again with Dr zhymes. Ladies are due for a little rinse mid week. Than a hit with lost coast end of week. I increased the nutrient mix. Got em on a fuller transition diet. With some new goodies from the plantimatter line. I will ride this feed for atleast a solid week. So they will get a few dumps at these values.
All in all just cruising along! Until next update. Happy growing and stay lit fam.
Stretch is done and flowers are piling on now! I treated with lost coast as a preventative. I kept the feed the same but it will be altered end of grow week. Canopy is getting hella full can't wait to watch these colas stack on. Until next update. Happy growing and stay lit fam.
Man these ladies are stacking javelins! Colas galore throughout their canopy. Sexy and healthy! 1 lady got a touch taller than the other 2. Shes been super cropped again to reduce her height and even out the canopy a bit. But the other 2 are getting quality exposure none the less.
They got treated with Dr zhymes as a preventative. That will basically wrap up their treatments ...possibly once more with lost coast.
Upped the pk intake as they are blooming strong now. Gotta keep those engines well fuelled. Response was stellar. Happy happy happy ladies.
Unti next update. Happy growing and stay lit fam.
Really stacking now! Beautiful sea of colas going on between these 3. Buds are really starting to structre. This variety has a little bit of a longer flowering time. Usually 11 weeks in my experiences. So the buds are definitely on point for the 4 weeks of bloom. Starting the 5th week off so far with elevated trichome production. Definitely gunna be alot frostier come the end of this 5th week.
I reduced the nitrogen dose again. I also stopped giving them vigorous. Its a pure bloom mix now as these ladies are booming with flowers. Until next update. Happy growing and stay lit fam.
Buds are really putting on weight! Frost is in abundance. Colas have really gained defined shape and structure. The aroma is getting intense. Full blown bloom is a wonderful thing.
Just watching as the sexyness gets more defined. We have hit the major bulking phase.
Do to the new phase of growth the feeding has once again changed. I added bud golem to the mix. To get every drip drop of flowering vigor this lady has to push. Really gives that extra umph for the bulking phase. Will eliminate that last bit of grow outta the mix next feed. Than ride that mix to the flush. Until next update . Happy growing and stay lit fam.
Swelling and bulking, bulking and swelling. These babies are coming to a close quick as they plow through the bulking phase. Putting on a thick layer of frost thats starting to glisten as the trichomes begin to get cloudy. Majestic to watch them show their true beaty during peak flowering.
No change in the feeding department. I'm going to ride it through with this until its time for the flush. Right now its rinse and repeat until they are getting good and ready. Until next update. Happy growing and stay lit fam.
