I started germination of 5 Royal thai regular beans on 01/01/2021. HAPPY NEWYEAR!
I am germinating them using rockwool cubes and a humidity dome. I pre moistened my plugs with ph balanced water to 6.4 . Than enlarged the pre made holes using a wooden dowel. Than sowed my 5 beans into the holes. I then ripped a small piece of rockwool off each plug and mulched it up. Than lightly filled in the holes using the mulched rockwool. Than it was into the humidity dome to marinate, and complete the germination process.
Will likely take roughly 4 days to get some sprouts. Starting my adventure with Spliff Seeds Royal Thai. After they emerge I will get the plugs planted into 3 gallon pots to rock and roll. Cant fucking wait!
Spliff Seeds Royal Thai is a cross of a Early Thai mother and a Skunk #1 father. This mashup produces a lanky, stretcher variety signature of classic sativa strains. The strain gas a roughly 12 week flowering time. There is 3 distinct phenotypes from these genetics. One with fluffier sativa signature bud structre. One with chunkier, bulky bud structre coming from the skunk #1 father. Lastly but definitely hope to get me one of these!!! Is the phenotype that Carrys over that signature thai chocolate terpene pallet. Though it takes the longest to mature... Best believe it's well worth the wait.
Considering the natural plant stature and stretch. This will be a short veg, faster flip run. To keep these ladies tailored and suited for a indoor grow. All things considered... I'd probably get best results throwing these beans out during outdoor grow season. Letting them beast out and become trees. Mabey we just might try that with another batch. But with the research into the variety I've done I'm sure I can make em work some magic indoors. I'm amped for this.
Day 1
After 5 days of germination time, I got action!
So I planted my sprouts plugs into 1 gallon pots. The pot were filled with promix hp that I pre moistened with ph balanced water. Now It's time for these ladies to stretch their legs. Forming a solid root structre to support the rapid growth of a cannabis plant. Their main focus will be below soil for the first few days. My main focus will be a solid wet to dry cycle for these ladies to really thrive! Their needs are very minimal and easy going at this point. Too much or too little water is really the only non environmental factor that can lead this to a poor start. So I'm going to have to be on point lol.
So far I've had 3 of the 5 pop. The other 2 will likely be up by tomorrow. When they break the surface I will update the germination week and do a update on this week as well.
Day 2
Still waiting on the last 2 to pop. But these 3 ladies are chugging right along. Starting up those single bladed daggers. They are Looking green,vibrant, and healthy!
Day 5
I gave these ladies there first taste of nutrients. Nice micro feed to give them a solid boost. Response was perfect! Growth and vigor definitely increased.
These ladies are doing terrific! They responded really well to the nutrient dose. They stacked a couple nodes. Plus really fattened up those single bladed daggers. Cant wait to find out how many of these 3 or if any are females. Only time will tell.
I've kept the environment locked in. Ladies have stayed nicecsnd cozy. They will need a watering in 2 days. That will be a straight water dump. They will get there next nutrient dump basically at the end of the week. I will update the chart then.
Update***
Ladies got fed nutes again. Adjusted their levels and updated the chart. Girls boomed after the feed. Definitely content with the mix.
These ladies are booming with life! Growth has really picked up. They are responding great to the feed, environment, and just seem to be loving life. I will get them transplanted into 5 gallon pots. Will be doing that beginning of next grow week.
Their feed will be once again elevated this week. That will happen when I water them in roughly 3-4 days. They just received a dump of ph balanced water yesterday. I will update the chart when that happens.
No early signs of males in the pack yet. No big difference in internode spacing. Or larger stretch in any of the plants. Only time will tell how many females we got in the litter.

Got these ladies transplanted into 5 gallon pots. Filled with sunshine mix #4. Upped their feed dose and updated the chart. Until next week Happy growing and stay lit fam.
These ladies didnt have a hiccup from transplant. Continued to boom right along with strong growth. Side branches are starting to really develop. So the plants structures are beginning to shape up. Very lush looking plants for sure.
Their feed will remain the same this week. Plus it will likely be there tops for veg. Unless unexpected needs come into play lol. Cant wait to find out the sex of these reg plants! Until next update happy growing and stay lit fam.
Strong week of growth from these Royal Thai plants. Plant pictured first is having larger internodal spacing and little side branch activity. Leaning me towards thinking its male. As this will be the last week of veg. I wont have long to wait to find out how many females I got.
I kept them on the same note mix as last week. Seems like the sweet spot for veg so I'm rolling with it. They got treated with Dr zhymes this time around for prevention.

The time has come to get these plants flowering. Find out how many females in the litter and watch em throw off some beautiful flowers. I got them onto a transition feed. I will alter that feed again near the end of this grow week.
I topped these ladies to limit and hinder their vertical stretching. Try and get some of the focus to the side branches. Instead of sativa ing out and becoming lanky trees. I also decided to try and clone the tops. For potential use later if I'm impressed.

So after 1 week of veg sexing is done! I ended up with 2 males and 1 female. The males had been cloned for future breeding projects and the flowering male plants were destroyed and discarded. Im definitely leaning towards plant 1 for pollen. It was the stronger more vigorous plant. Beautiful branch structre and fantastic stem rub. Reeking of skunk with a hint of cocoa. BLESSED! The female has also been cloned in case shes something special as well.
Shes had explosive side growth for the first week of stretch. The topping really helped to minimize her vertical take off. She straight bushed out ...just what I hoped for. Plus with her newly acquired space from her brothers leaving. She really has room to boom.
I preventative treated again with Dr zhymes. #2 (the female) is due for a little rinse mid week. Than a hit with lost coast end of week. I increased the nutrient mix. Got her on a fuller transition diet. With some new goodies from the plantimatter line. I will ride this feed for atleast a solid week. So she will get a few dumps at these values.

Stretch is finally done and flowers are piling on now! I treated with lost coast as a preventative. I kept the feed the same but it will be altered end of grow week. Very Sativa looking plant as she gets into real blooming! Slightly wirey and lanky... but since the stretch period finished. Her branches have really fattened and stiffened up. Making her a lot less floppy lol. Been very productive on the flowers end. Really structuring her colas and creating some real flower formation. Very skunky aroma starting to bellow off her. Yummy yummy!
She got treated with Dr zhymes as a preventative. That will basically wrap up her treatments ...possibly once more with lost coast.
Upped the pk intake as she is blooming strong now. Gotta keep those engines well fuelled. Response was stellar. Happy happy happy lady.

Ladies really piling it on. Super happy n healthy. Buds are filling in and frosting over. Bud production has been blessed and is in full swing. She starting to really reek like skunk and chocolate. Leaving my mouth frothing every time I'm working around her. Fucking amazing.
I reduced the nitrogen dose again. I also stopped giving them vigorous. Its a pure bloom mix now as these ladies are booming with flowers. Until next update. Happy growing and stay lit fam.
This lady is getting nice and chunky as she continues to pile it on. The frost is in full effect as she completely coats herself in trichomes. Shes doing fantastic for a "finicky" sativa. Just loving life and rewarding me in the best way possible! Stanky,skunky, cocoa filled aroma and some glistening flowers.

Buds are really putting on weight! Frost is in abundance. Colas have really gained defined shape and structure. The aroma is getting intense. Full blown bloom is a wonderful thing.
Just watching as the sexyness gets more defined. We have hit the major bulking phase.
Do to the new phase of growth the feeding has once again changed. I added bud golem to the mix. To get every drip drop of flowering vigor this lady has to push. Really gives that extra umph for the bulking phase. Will eliminate that last bit of grow outta the mix next feed. Than ride that mix to the flush. Until next update . Happy growing and stay lit fam.
Swelling and bulking, bulking and swelling. This baby is coming to a close quick as she plows through the bulking phase. Putting on a thick layer of frost thats starting to glisten as the trichomes begin to get cloudy. Majestic to watch her show her true beaty during peak flowering.
