Took a clone 5 days ago on the first photo, and 1 day ago on the second one. I'm planning to experiment with soundwaves on the plant in the first picture which is the stronger and it germinated 3 days before the other gone. One plant is 26cm tall, the other one 16cm tall.

Stopped additional light to induce flowering. Since it is in a balcony I can't really control alexternal artificial light sources, but it usually works by stopping the 2w led lamp I keep on to keep them vegetating.

I have been applying sound waves to the bigger plant for 5 days now. It began flowering 1 week after I removed the extra light and let the reduced sun hours do their magic.

The weak pheno is suffering from aphid infestation at the roots and having further deficiencies. I'm battling the problem using scotch tape traps that seem to be working. The other pheno remains strong. Interestingly, because of the sun's position above my building they are only receiving 7 hours of direct sunlight and in March 15 there will only be indirect sunlight for them although they will be in their last weeks which in my experience will turn out to need 3 more weeks than normal due to the lack of direct sunlight.

Had a root aphids invasion. It seems they were the ones responsible for the deficient growth on the weaker pheno. They starting reaching the other one that was super healthy and I had to try to eliminate them. I read online that the roots needed a soap bath to drown the fkers. I did so and the weaker pheno looks healthier than before though I'm not sure root aphids were eliminated. I also noticed its roots have darkened probably as a consequence to the attack so it will probably never be as good for taking nutrients. The healthy pheno, unfortunately, did not seem to like the soap bath and has been wilted for 4 days now. Many leaves have died and I'm not sure if it will recover. I have ordered pyrethrin and The Amazing Dr. Zymes to treat to get rid of the aphids once and for all. Will probably apply the treatment on the weaker pheno and only in the bigger one if it gets better.

Sorry to announce that both plants had to be cut. They developed root rot. Don't know if it was caused by the root aphids or what, but I do know that at least the strong pheno was OK before I washed the roots on soap to get rid of root aphids. Probably the good bacteria died and I didn't apply Hydroguard during those days and perhaps that was enough for fungus to invade, or perhaps it was the stress/infection due to root aphids, but basically, one day I was sitting next to it because I have a dining table just there, and I was feeling uneasy all the time until that day I felt as if the plant basically told me it was suffering. So I decided to cut it and upon lifting the lid, the roots just broke on their own and separated, indicating the degree of rot. This also explains why I was finding pieces of root in the water. This was my first DWC and I'm basically never gonna grow again with it. It is a pain and it feel unnatural.

@KennyRogers, I’m sorry that your hydroponic didn’t work out for you. I’m just confused as to why you would grow outdoors with hydroponics. The whole reason for hydroponics is controlled environment. You keep it out, you’re exposing every thing and I’m not even sure what you used on your net pot. It looks like peat moss or coco coir but I wouldn’t do that. Also neem oil helps before the aphids travel down to your roots. You got infested because they like moist environment and they had direct access to your stems. Your net pot looks moist as hell. That attracts bugs on top of dead plant matter from the bottom of the plants will attract it. It would’ve helped if you had a greenhouse or cover. Also hydroguard doesn’t help with physical infestation. It only helps with fungus symbiotic growth. If you do it again, next time, grow indoors and use grow stones like hydroton or actual grow stones

@MaryJaneUSA, Thank you but dont know how that would have worked on roots. I just had to cut both of them: root rot
