Holy shite this plant grows fast. I had her fly a bit too close to the sun. Leaf burn showed up later. Even with low watts you can run the lights too close!
Now in a larger pot with pro mix and no other nutrients she is thriving! I let the tap water stand for 2 days to let the chlorine off gas. I lift the whole plant to feel weight . That's how I determine how and when to water.
After pinching the top I bend down the branches and started low stress training. Low stress indeed as the plant quickly recoverd and reached for the light

Week 5 the girl was very healthy about an inch of pro mix was added to the top . This is the only feeding I give the plants. I soon switched to 12 hours light cycle
I don't check the PH but where I live water is low in minerals and low in PH . Honestly I think the pH is important for certain microbes to flourish and feed the plants.
The temperature at night is colder than I would like but that will help bring out color at end of flowering .
There are trichromes already forming on the tops of the leaves ! This will be a frosty girl.
I should have stated that the plant had 18 hours of light for 5 weeks . I don't see any stretch . But looking at other Durban grows it may stretch at week 8 of flowering.
The two liter pot will restrict growth. I'm growing four plants in an area 16 by 20 inches. So I keep my plants healthy and compact.
Mistake or bad engineering? The light on the light telling me the hours I assumed would not effect the light cycle. Two weeks ago I flipped. A few days ago I peeked inside when lights were off. The plants were well illuminated by the ( on ) light.
I put black tape over the light.
I also knew the temperature got down to around 50 to 60 degrees when the light was off. That's a bit low. I found a 200 watt ceramic heater. I run it for half an hour four times at dark cycle. Brings the temperature up to 70 degree s at night 👍👍
Instantly the Durban grew an amazing crown. It has large triangular points . Never seen it like that before. It's part of the genetics . I have added two top dressings so far . The plant is still easy to keep compact but she will stretch late in flowering.
I will top dress soon .
Trunk structure is good to support some nice size flowers.
Buds are starting to develop trichromes.
I am now adding two teas spoons of Gia Green Bloom every fourth week . It's an organic slow release fertilizer.
Plant looks very healthy no sighns of stress.
Durban Poison is a hardy strain! I mixed one teaspoon of Gia Green Bloom to one cup of soil. This helps properly mix in nutrients. The soil/ nutes mixture is used as a top dress . One of the fastest strains I have seen race into flower. Trikes are already huge. She I sparkling and ripening at very fast rate.
Durban Poison is a fast flowering girl with heavy trichromes. Compared to my other strains this Durban puts in flowers and frost much faster! The aroma is floral but not too strong. The leaves show no sighns of stress or nutrients issues. Top dress with Gia Bloom every second week and water with warm dechlorinated water.
What not to love about Crop Kings Durban Poison. 6 weeks into flowering and it's sparkling with capitate stalked trichcromes. I never gave extra food during veg . I'm being very reserved with the Gia Green Bloom, Top dressing every week . Considering the size of the container the plant is putting on very nice sized flowers.
The aroma of this plant is spicy and funky. There are Amber trichcromes showing. Easy plant to grow. Branches are filling out top to bottom. A bit of a leafy flower but will make some nice kiefe.
Temperature warmed up out side . This raised grow room temperature to 75 F . The plants luved the extra warmth and grew profusely. The Durban has all dark orange hairs yet one bud is new and all white hairs. Just one flower. The aroma is amazing. Taking out the plant to photograph the whole room has a pungent funky spice smell.
