After a few months and because of this shitty virus I am able to start a new race and thanks to this opportunity I try for my first time a genetic of RQS and not at all trivial, the Green Gelato. I started two seeds. One I will grow in the tissue pot they provided me, while for the other I will use a normal 10 L plastic pot. For both seeds I will use the LST technique to maximize yields.
In this first week everything is going very well. As usual I started by soaking the seeds and then placed them in the paper towel. Immediately they started to open and in a short time they sprouted from the ground.
As nutrients I will use the line of RQS that was provided to me and since I started everything in the final pots I have already prepared the soil with the right doses.
Growth is going very well and the plants seem very eager to get bigger.
I am very happy with how this 2021 is starting and hopefully it will bear fruit against this virus as well.
I'll start by saying that this is already the second week for me since I started counting germination as the first week and I'm adding it right now since I waited the 14 days before starting the journal. That being said I am very happy with how these days have gone. The plant is developing really really fast and with each passing hour you can see the changes.
On these seeds I will not do any topping but seeing the speed of development I think I will only do the LST technique to maximize the yield of this spectacular genetics.
I am giving water about every three days when the soil dries more and without nutrients since I already added initially the fertilizers that RQS offered me in the soil.
I will definitely start using the tablets with the additional nutrients in the next few days.
Again everything is predicting the best. I hope you are following this adventure and enjoying it as much as it is driving me crazy.
Week 3 also ends with some delays in updating the diary due to some problems I've had these days. The two plants are progressing really well. They are growing very fast and amaze me with each passing day, the leaves are fleshy and very deep in color and the side branches are starting to thicken up very nicely. With that since the plants are very vigorous I bent them for the first time starting to do the LST that I will continue to do in the near future. For both plants I use the same method of growth but using different pots and I notice that the plant I am doing in the fabric one that RQS gave me is growing better than the other.
Nutritionally both are not having any problems at all, in fact they bode very well. This week I gave the RQS growth phase tablet for the first time and it gave the plants an added boost of nutrients that was visible right away.
I am very happy with how this grow is progressing and also with the experience that I am learning each time.
I'll see you next week aiming high.
Week 4 is over in a big way. The plants are developing very fast so I think that from next week the one that I'm growing in the plastic pot I will put it to flower since it is more developed than the other. I'm also postponing the other plant because I'm trying to shape it better by bending it more, but in doing so I broke a side branch that I immediately tried to repair and it doesn't seem to be dead. I hope that this shit does not compromise the health of the plant. Between the two phenotypes there are small differences for now, especially in leaf formation.
Nutritionally everything is going exceptionally well. There are no signs of deficiency and you can see that the nutrients are very good as the branches and leaves are growing very vigorous.
I water every other day with only pH corrected water and once in these days I have also used the tablets, also from the same line, that supplement the necessary nutrients.
I am very confident with these plants and I hope to be able to complete a very good harvest and make the best expression of the quality of this genetics.
Week 5 in a rush because I missed an update so I do multiple weeks in a row.
This week I put the plant I have in the plastic pot into bloom since it is more developed and is pushing a lot in height continuing to grow even more and doubling about every other day. The tall one, in the tissue pot, I keep leaving it on an 18 hour light cycle and I must say that it's getting really big too. The foliage is well developed and the trunk is very firm. It has suffered a branch tear but it has recovered immediately making it as big as the main branch. I'm sure that this accidental supercropping will not disappoint me. Apart from some pruning of the biggest or worst laid out leaves I have done nothing but LST on some branches to better balance the growth of the plant.
In terms of nutrients everything continues to proceed well. I water as usual every two days with only pH corrected water and use about 1/1.2 l of water per plant.
Everything is going great and will have to continue like this. See you soon friends.
End of week 6 and the plants are really growing like crazy. The one I put in bloom is now getting longer and longer with two tops that have risen above the others. The other plant is vegetating very well and I decided to put it in bloom as well and it is continuing to develop really beautiful leaves.
As far as nutrients go everything is still going great. I don't add anything just pH corrected water. Once I used the tablets of the line always but concerning the flowering phase and I must say that in addition to the fertilizer already present in the earth are very effective.
Everything always continues to be precise, let's hope that the results do not disappoint expectations.

We're in week 7 for these Gelato's and I'm back on track with the journal about. I've been a little busy but finally got it done. The plants are getting scarier and scarier. The blooming is going really well and we are now starting to see the first signs of flowers. Both are very beautiful but I'm more satisfied with the plant I left in the tissue pot because the unintentional supercropping gave a nice boost to the branch and especially because I was able to better balance the buds.
Nutritionally everything is going well. The plant further on in flowering shows small signs on the leaves while the other one continues optimally with fabulous colors.
We enter the most beautiful phase and also the habits change. The first smells begin to rise and are very promising as the plants themselves. I can't wait to get to the end, but I don't want to rush and make mistakes because I want to get the most out of this genetics.
I've had a bit of trouble with this diary and I've also messed up the comment update so we're now at the end of week 9.
The plants are overgrowing and the buds are swelling day after day and with them the amount of resin.
Nutritionally everything is going on as written in the past days, as I continue to see good results from the plants.
The flowers are growing and give off a really intense citrus scent with pungent notes every time I bathe and check them, the pistils are thick and white but they are making room for the swelling of the calyxes of the main cola.
The Gelato in the fabric scares me to look at it, it's really majestic and starting to show the first signs of flowering, the other one has the tops more formed and getting bigger for good.
Now I'm just waiting to see them hanging and then enjoy them, I'm proactive and I think I did a good job, I hope it will meet my expectations.
Week 10 ends for these Gelato's as they continue to develop perfectly and get more and more beautiful.
I grew the plants in two different pots so I could see the different growth developments and I must say that the geotextile pot offered by RQS made the plant develop much better than the one in the plastic pot with a much more vigorous growth of branches and leaves. These fabric pots I am beginning to appreciate much more than the regular ones for various reasons such as a more satisfying, clean and much more profitable result than the other plant that, instead, has not been able to express itself to the maximum.
Between the two phenotypes there are some small differences in the flowers and I reiterate that the flowers of the ice cream in the fabric pot I like more and they are also forming much better and with more pollen.
The smell of this variety intoxicates the whole room with sweet, fruity tones that make you water to smell them. You can imagine this just by looking at the buds that are full of pollen right down to the thickest leaves and looking almost frosty.
Nutritionally I haven't added anything like I did last week, just ph corrected water.
I hope to make you want to try this variety as I am also getting the urge.
We finish week 11 really well.
The Gelato in the tissue during this phase of flowering is not losing any vigor or color at all, to my great surprise. The buds are getting bigger and the amount of pollen is increasing at the same rate, the pistils are very dense and still white.
This plant has four fabulous apicals, full of clumps and very sweet scents.
On the contrary the other Gelato is losing some color on the leaves but I don't worry about that since we are almost at the end and overall I must say that it is a beautiful plant, the buds that it is creating confirm it.
The resin prosperity of this plant is not bad either but comparing the other one is really unbeatable!
As in recent weeks I have watered the plants only with water corrected ph.
Now we are towards the end and I really can't wait to try this strain, I hope you are enjoying this alien trip.
Week 12 over and we're now heading into the wash even though I've been going on with only ph corrected water for a few weeks anyway.
The Gelato in the tissue is really stunning, it hasn't lost any color, its buds are thriving every day with more coarseness and resin. The pistils are still white and stand out from the bright green color. It really is full of calyxes popping up everywhere accompanied by resinous leaflets.
The other Gelato is also getting a good title of hexose and resinous buds, it is exploding in crazy colors, with the pistils starting to take on color and the buds are a deep green. I'm noticing a worsening at the leaf level but the growth of this plant still continues to amaze me more and more.
I am very proud of these genetics and I hope you are enjoying them too.
Finally week 13 ends and I say that because the monkey to try these flowers is now out of proportion.
By now I don't know what words to use for these Gelato's, they are both fabulous, packed with pollen and really succulent clumps.
The various shades of bright green color make their way through the first brown colored pistils and their delicious berry scent lifts my nose.
I think I'll be taking them out soon as well since they're now at the end but I trust in their full expression and let them continue.
The washing as mentioned above has been going on for a while and leaf-wise not much has changed since last time and I'm happy about that.
I really hope you like them too even if sometimes I realize that the photo never does justice to reality.
We end week 14 with a big WOW!
I cut the branches off the Gelato (P2), I decided to take it off because I really like the development it has now, the buds are bright green and purple, it has a scent that intoxicates the room and the resin is really very thick and sticky. At the leaf level I must say that it has not disappointed me, in fact I must say to my surprise that it has kept its green color.
As I said at the beginning for now I cut the branches, I removed the largest leaves and finally hung everything, keeping controlled humidity and temperature, soon I will clean them in more detail.
I already said that soon I will also remove the other and prepare it for drying, I really can not wait but now it's almost time.
Everything is proceeding as mentioned last week for this Gelato (P1) but I have not yet fully arrived at the result I want to achieve.
The tops are taking the last details that make them so beautiful. The colors are more evident, gray, green and purple are the characteristic colors and the pistils are transforming day by day.
It glows from tip to leaf attachment but as we know, we can never get enough resin!
I'll update you better in the next few days as there is little change from other days.
Just for this Gelato (P1) ends week 15, and I'm finally giving it a rest!
What can I say, the buds are gorgeous, it really expressed itself well and I can only be proud of it, it has crazy colors as you can see, and the buds are rich and full of fragrant clumps.
The smell is a combination of fruity flavors and resin, well I think it comments itself.
We are in full wash, I always try to get the water out of the pot so as to wash away the last remnants of fertilizer.
I think I've done a good job, keeping in mind that there is always something to learn but I am convinced that with each diary there will always be one more improvement.
I'll wait for the next update to show you both clean tops and describe them together.
I hope you are waiting as eagerly as I am!
In this path I decided to use for both the LST technique, I must say that I am satisfied with the work I did, both are expressed as I wanted and I do not have a preference between the two, having used the fabric pot for one of his I can say that I found myself very well with the fabric pot as the convenience of the handles is exceptional, for the rest I find myself well with the plastic pots are more practical in cleaning.
I haven't had any major problems apart from a few dry leaves towards the end of flowering but as I wrote I didn't pay much attention to them because the buds were developing well and because I was washing.
I always hope to improve over time and always learn new things, although so far I'm happy with the results I got.
As always I love doing these journals, reviewing the various changes and getting nice comments is always exciting being neither experienced.
Our very Green journey ends here, I hope you enjoyed it!
