Started LST this week as well as topping/fiming and some light defoliation.
Going forward I'll now just be sticking to lst and selective defoliation.
I've also reamended some soil ready for transplanting into there final pots in the future.
Welcome to Grow diaries my friend starting strong with the HST main lining technique I like it Sir :) Great looking start wishing you the best of luck with the rest of the cycle :) I will be sure to keep an eye on your progress :) Keep it green my friend :D
@TheGROWtoriousTHC, Ahhh I thought I did sense some experience there a soil organic grower we are then so your goal is to create the cleanest medicine to help your fiance with her illness. A very noble reason sir you have my respect she must mean alot to you for you to risk the door coming off again it happened to me once too luckily it was only the police and not a 3rd party so after moving several times to several different areas i decided to settle down in one and started going large lol Ahh ditto my friend I also run annual plants outdoors i have just started the plants I intend to plant outdoors this year I cant wait I am a complete n00b to growing in soil when i first started growing around 5 years ago I had always since a very young age been fascinated with anything weed related and knew it was only a matter of time before i started pounding my way out to be a cannabis cultivator 20 or so years later and I have my dream :) Though reaseatching all different types of systems and testing all of them I ultimatly landed on DWC for the fastest results I found personally. Being a perpetual grower myself I like to finish plants as quick as I can and dwc defo helps in them last weeks I think but I will never knock anyone for growing in soil as I do but I think indoors its probably more problematic in the sense of unwanted nasties getting near your plants. mould and root rot can be big issuse in small spaces without adequent ventilation though im sure you have that and Im sure most the things i have said you already knew probably long before me as I am only 30 years of age :) Ahhh I am relived to hear you are not mainlining though with a small space this would be one of the rare times i recommend it though i would always recommend topping and selective defoliation over maining. Though i suppose its down to personal preferance. No unfortunately you cannot send pictures to growers but you can upload them for the growers to see or you can send them on another social media platform like instagram or something like that :) Ahh yes i know what you mean with the know what your smoking. you never know whats been done to this bud we can buy from the street and thats not good when its used for medicine as it potenally has the opposite effect of its intended purpose lol Though you can Direct message me anytime if you would rather not have everyone read our corrospondance grow diaries are a really good site for keeping your info private Ive been here almost two years now :) I know abit about living soil though very little I know alot more about hard nutrients i suppose you would call them lol I go through around 240 litres of water per week I cannot afford to use any brand name feeds unfortunatly they are simply too expensive to justify I use powdered nutrients as they are a hell of alot cheaper and you have full control over each part along with a comprehensive feed chart that can be altered to suit the specfic plant. I am actully a strain tester or thats what the UK420show is. I will never grow the same strain twice i may clone a strain but I will always move on as I love varity when smoking a nice sativa for the day time and a nice heavy indica for before bed and Im a happy man :) I may have some questions for you depeding on how my outdoor plants work out this year I am planting directly in the ground with a layer of top soil at the top to start them off im doing 3 in a green house and one actully outdoors next to the green house. I want to test every breeder i can and showcase the most phenos i can cause i truly love cannabis cultivation and I dont think I will ever stop lol throw me a dm if you ever fancy trying a certain pheno I may have the seeds spare I get sent alot to test from various breeders :)
@TheUk420Show, hi mate sorry I should have given you more info. I first grew over ten years ago but got put off after the door went off 😔
Last spring I got a few bag seed and threw them outside, tbh nothing much came if it except the desire to grow again. I'm now on my third run my latest is due to finish in a week or so just 4 plants in 5ltr pots. No profit at all just for me and my fiancee who has HD, it's her medicine and I can save money and know exactly what I'm smoking. I'm growing in a "living soil" a mix of Coco, soil, perlite, worm castings, and some Dr forest fertilizer. I am still using bio bizz nutes IF needed between top dressing. I'm not sure if I can send or add photos but I am a heavy trainer but I am NOT mainlining. This run I'm topping once then hoping to lst the early branching and keep it squat because of wardrobe height issues, it is my first run with these genetics but half the fun is getting to know them girls
@TheGROWtoriousTHC, Oh gawd you just openend up a can of worms my friend to give you adaquate grow advice I would first need to know your eventual goal while growing. to expand that abit better are you growing for as much buds as you can get with the nicest quality ? Or are you looking to get pure quality bud and not too concerned about the yields? Are you counting on this grow financially ? all these aspects come into play when advising on the best route to take on your cannabis cultivation journey ? have you cultivated before ? Is this your first shot ? Usually I would only advise using training methods like mainlining after getting a few some what normal low stress trained equivalent grows that way you can really get a feel as to how a plant will react to be heavily defoliated what to look out for and how to fix it. Though what I will say is cannabis cultivation at the moment is all about who can get the best looking plant symmetrically with controlled canopy's with even light distribution and there's a reason why because plants grown in this way tend to yield more than plants not trained. What is often over looked is how much experience the growers have that are doing this and I can guarentee its a substanial amount of experience. I'm not saying an in experienceded grower cannot do it. though you can get the exact same effect from lets say a lower form of high stress training being topping. This is what I would advise mastering first before moving onto mainlining but I understand and respect every grower grows differently and I would never in my deepest nightmares ever critizie a persons efforts at cultivation directly because we all do the best with what we have though I can give advice as to where you can go to get to you eventual goal cannabis cultivation is a great thing this plant has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years before the big wigs that banned it were even conceived. I would never knock a grower for either growing for profit or growing for medicince as this world is hard enough as it is we all deserve a break now and again and we all have a passion for the plants we grow :) Ahh another UK grower AWESOME :) keeping England green one tent at a time :)
