I have two purple kush plants both from Crop King Seeds, but each from a different pack of seeds. You can see they have different phenotypes. One is lean and tall with clear purple pigment and super low tolerance for powdery mildew. I have to treat her with a nasty milk and water spray as the mildew was about as bad as I've ever seen on an outdoor grow. The second phenotype is bushy and had no purple pigment so far, and she is not vulnerable to the mildew. It's interesting to watch them grow so differently side by side. As you all know, this is my favourite variety, and therefore I have high hopes for a solid yield. I have grown this each year for the past few years so I already know the yield won't be massive. These ladies offer quality over quantity. This bud ends up on the 'top shelf' or hidden away so I can save it :-)
I agree to greenthumb. Just aquickwash into baking soda helps, and buds dry very fast, it kinda dehydrates the weed.
and its very easy to cut afterwards( wet and dry)
That is some beautiful soil! I have five autos started right now that I am trying to grow outside but the weather keeps me on my toes. I am keeping everything in containers this year because the climate just won’t switch over to Spring. Smack dab in the middle of the States and it keeps going from beautiful to freezing. Crazy stuff, I can’t even get a twister that I’m used too by this time. Inside ,outside, I need some sunny days.
That is a very nice garden setup. You are are very good gardener AnneJ, I like what you do and that’s why I follow your postings. I am really interested in this strain especially from the last time you grew it, that was an amazing plant.
