Hello friends!
Starting another diary, as this time I'll try to have the strains separated from each other even though they're all in the same tent.
I changed a bit the setup, as I upgraded the tent from a Secret Jardin DR90 to a Homebox Ambient Q120. I already love it, really nice reflection when comparing both. Looks more resistant and durable also, but that time will tell.
Also upgraded the lights from a MH/HPS 400w, all Lumatek, to a new Spider Farmer SF400. Been running it for a few weeks now, but finally all the setup is assembled together.
On this upgrade, included a AC-Infinity Cloudline T6. Really nice, and silent. Perfect for my needs.
At last, got myself a swamp cooler. It's in front of the tent blowing cold air straight on the plants - on the lowest mode, and at a reasonable distance, as it's quite strong. And effective. RH is already up to 54% and temps are at 26c.
Just perfect!
So, now that you guys have the picture of the setup, let's move on to this Northern Light plot:
Got this seeds a few times as freebies by Seedsman. Fun part is that from around 6 I got, so far I only managed to get one out. In the past only had 25% luck with germination. With this 2, only one out, or 50% success.
Starting to get frustrated about it, and willing to order this strain but from another breeder, as everything else grows in here.
Anyways, the plant is famous for being an easy cultivar, with decent yields and potency.
I confirm that, maybe not so much the potency, but that's on me as I might have harvested too soon.
Seeds were soaked together in a shot glass, for 36h, moved to root riot cubes soaked with a solution of Biobizz Root-Juice, and moved to a incubator let on the floor of the grow room.
They're out yesterday, and will be moved to 11l fabric pots, with 1l Leca in the bottom. Soil was already watered to activate it. In 36h tops will transfer them to the final address.
Will be using the Biobizz line of nutrients, plus some homemade organic fertilizers - beans water for rooting, coffee grounds and water/10% pee solution, ashes for grow, egg, banana and molasses in flowering are a few of them. Trying for the first time.
On the side started composting in my balcony, the containers are relatively cheap, considering I can reutilize the soil, and meanwhile in the composting box, enrich it. Will use only some bones and fishbones, eggshells, banana peels, coffee grounds and ashes.
Will keep monitoring the ph and the ec, so the soil keeps it's ideal values.
The plan is to make a SOG with 10 autos in the tent, so we're set for the summer. This are just 3 of them.
That's all for this week, thank you for reading!
She's out and shinning!
Since I got the swamp cooler, became much easier to keep a lower temp and a higher RH. Like all problems are over ahahah
Gonna give her the first watering tomorrow, but she looks good to begin with.
Not much to add at the moment.
Good week guys!
One more week is now finished, let's have a look as what happened during this last 7 days and nights
First of all, used the weekend to make a nice big cleaning, it'll be good for the next couple weeks.
Can't say enough times how important it is to keep it all clean and mess free.
She looks weird AF. Seen this a few times before, usually the next sets of leaves should be normal. But still, what a weird way to show herself for the first impression LOL
Not growing as her neighbors in the tent, the coffee/chickpea tea with Co2 tabs and the nutrients from BioBizz will be now put on hold until she looks more of a plant and less of a weird thing
The feeding chart's been the following:
150ml water on plant 1 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday - Total this week 450ml water
Temps and RH are very stable, which is great. 27c day 60%Rh, 24c night 71%Rh.
That's all for now, next week there'll be more.
Have a nice week, happy grows to all, and better smoke :D

Used the weekend to make a nice cleaning again - I like to take all from the tent and clean on Sundays. Gives a good feeling.
Finally the weird leaves are gone, and the new sets are completely normal. She's a little behind, comparing to the last time grown. But I'm sure she'll catch up.
Stopped with the root juice and started introducing fish mix and bio grow, as the plant advances her growth stage.
Temps and RH are very stable, which is great. 27c day 60%Rh 24c night ~70%RH

Topped this week, reacted good so far.
Been feeding her nutes every 48h
Temps and RH
Day - 27 / 60%
night - 24 / 70%
Foliage looks good and green, no weird spots.
Stem is strong also, and that always gives me a good feeling for the overall growth.
The only downside on this ferts is the smell, kinda stinks a bit when using it, but if all the problems in the world were that small...
Hey guys!
New week, here we are!
As always, every Sunday is cleaning day. Took everything again from the tent, washed the saucers.
Was also time to cut down some leaves as it was starting to look very bushy and hard for the light to get through it.
During that time, came across with some bugs under the foliage, which isn't a great sign for sure. Not to mention the fruit flies that move in and are making my life a little chaos.
Reducing now the RH a bit, and watering now on every 72h instead of 48h to keep the grow as dry as possible. Increasing the ventilator speed was another attempt, it so much air circulating should be hard for them to make a living inside. Just put now more of those fly traps and will add a couple glasses of cider vinegar here and there, as it attracts most of the flying things with success.
Note that some plants are yellowing and that's never a good sign.
Though for few weeks it was Nitrogen deficiency, but after increasing it and the CalMag values, the problem persists, so I'm inclined for something bug related.
Besides that, temps are still very stable, RH was changed, now to 40% tops, and the light went a little lower to get it closer to the plants - always with the light burn effect in mind. 40cm is the line between the tops and the lamp.
Flowering is looking good, buds are forming well and seems that's gonna be a good ending if I can keep the bugs under control.
She's on pre-flower, switched the nutrients and increased a bit the feeding volume.
That's all folks, have a great week
