Germinated quickly. This is a simple grow using a cheap e27 led light of 28 watts from amazon (although I suspect this is not the real wattage it uses/produces). It is growing quite tall. Might be due to unsufficient lighting. Window grow in the Netherlands, in this 1st week there was not that much sun.
Watering is done around the stem when soil is not damp anymore on surface level. Every day a bit of water is given.
I am not doing anything with PH values and will not be giving nutrients in the coming weeks.
Plant grew quite a bit and now has 3 nodes. I added some extra soil for support as the stem was still quite thin and the plant was wobbly. Moreover, I am now using a 20watt CFL light (Philips Tornado) and with this it grew better than before. I put it in daylight about 5-7 hours a day, although it barely gets direct sunlight due to the cloudy dutch weather. I am wondering if I should cut the top already, but I think I will wait a week. Then, I will start the LST to keep the plant low to the ground. If this is ofcourse very wrong, please notify me that that is not the right way of doing .... Thanks :)
leaves grew very fast and I am now watering more than before as ground is drying up quicker. I tied the stem downwards to the side and am creating a kind of spiral. The stem is thickening and that is a good thing. However, I do think it is now very close to the ground and hope this is alright. I can see 4 thingies where the weed will grow out of and the next 2 "thingies" (dont know what they're called) are on their way as the top of the plant is growing every day.
I heard weak 4 is when the flowering stage begins with this strain. This is why started LST this early so all buds/thingies/weedblobs will grow at the same height from the lamp/light. Did not top as this was reccomended in previous weeks comment, thanks for that :). I am starting to smell a tiny bit when sniffing close to the leaves. As I am growing in my room I am already afraid of the smell in the flowering stage. Maybe then I will build something around it so the smell is contained near the weed plant and not near my bed.
Also, I am just giving tap water. Maybe I will look into using something with different PH but currently I think this works just fine.
I am wondering if It is needed to cut some leaves in the future, as these might get in the way of the buds? For now I will leave it.
Grew quite a bit and some buds are starting to stretch and search for the light. The smell is getting stronger now and I have to set open the window every day too get rid of the smell. I think I will put a box around it to avoid it spreading through my whole room.
It is lurking water and every day I give it a decent amount.
I brought some vertilizer (i think it is chicken poop) for my other plants, but maybe I can give it to the weed plant. But dont yet know about that.
I am considering next grow to plant some seeds in smaller pots (~1.6L) as these will not grow this tall. And can therefore stay in the windowsill
Also, the LST is working quite oke, but I am stretching and bending the plant quite a bit as I dont want ia to exceed in length. Will continue on as it is growing quite fast.
Lighting is done via the 20watt CFL (phillips)
I firstly want to wish you the best of luck, I love RQS seeds and I am currently growing some don't hesitate to check my profile (I´ve got a Hulkberry Auto too).
As your strain is autoflowering, it´s not best recommended to apply topping. On the other hand, Lst could be very beneficial! So I would recommend you going for LST only. It doesn't mean that topping doesn't work, but in case anything goes wrong, autos have less time to recover, so it could badly affect your yield.
Cheers! Keep it up
@BalconyWiTCH, Thanks for advice!! I will just start with LST and skip the topping. It is my first grow so I do not have this knowledge haha, so thanks for this info. I will check out your grows!
