Dear Community, should I switch to 12/12 by now? The Strain is "Mandarine Punch", 8th week of Vegi, I topped it a few times, thats why the plants are short (20cm). There are also pre-flowers already. By now it's 18 Hours of light. 14l-Pots (filled with 11 liters of soil). Thanks!

They look just like mine do when I flip. When you flip don’t hammer them with light. Gradually build up over first three week, as a bit of stretch is maybe a bit beneficial. Defoliate now and st day 14. They will turn out ok. Start a diary too. It would tell me details to answer with more conf

Yes, the preflower is maturity in the plant showing. You can switch over at any time. Just keep it dark the whole 12 hours with no light leaks. Good luck. 👍🏻🌱

Technically you can flip at anytime. I would say if your plants are healthy and at a size that’s manageable and you’ve done everything you wanted to do to them before flowering go for it. They will most likely double in size at any time you flip them, so always keep that in mind if space is an issue. As for you plants specifically, if they were mine, I’d flip. They look perfect. Nice training and good luck

Take the sq footage and divide by 2.5... if you have that many level, ready-to-go-vertical colas, you are good to go. there is such a thing as too many mouths to feed and it is a function of numerous factors - light and other environmental variables, pot size, growing method, fertilization choices etc... too many colas will produce a higher proportion of larf. too few will be light on potential yield. 2.5 colas per sq foot, give or take, should do you well. A little less is fine. i like it to be even numbers reltiave to topping X times. as long as the canopy fits together, it doesn't have to be symmetrical per plant. a little jig saw puzzle sometimes is best.
