Yellow bottom leaves, decay

Just starting first grow - in gardening over the past 35 years, I learned to pull yellow or decaying leaves from the bottom so my plants dont send energy trying to repair them and concentrate on new growth instead. Is there a reason some people aren’t doing this with cannibus?

It usually takes nutrients and such elements from lower leaves, sucks them dry basically to pump it into buds
