Will be starting first grow after holidays. Will be indoor 4x4. Going with spiderfarmer setup. Should I just get g5000 or se5000. Want the best of the 2, but if pretty much the same, i will roll with the G to save a couple

The G series has more diodes, but the SE series has samsung diodes and is more efficient. Both will work, however both show max coverage for flower is 3x3 and you are planning on running a 4x4. Maybe a better option than those 2. I don't personally have any experience with those lights, found their specs on a chart on spider farms website. I do have experience with the vipar spectra ks4000. Love that light!! It's dimmable and gets great coverage. Efficient for the price. If not gonna supplement CO2, all the light you will need with fairly even light distribution. It cost in the middle of the 2 you are considering. One thing else to consider is where the driver is located. If it mounts on top of the light, it's gonna raise you tent temperature pretty heavily. The Vipar Sprectra light drivers mounts outside tent to help keep tent temps down. Even with the driver outside tent it does still raise the temp some. In the end, it's your setup on your expenses. If you're trying to get a complete setup all in 1 st Spider Farmer, both lights you want will work, SE will be more efficient and has better diodes, but not a huge difference. Just my thoughts, Best of Luck, Happy Growing!

Hey mate, If you wanna stick to a 1lamp setup, you maybe also check Viparspectra KS-Series. I know, its not the brand you first wanted, but most other LEDs have a rather uneven light distribution and imo suck as a single lamp setup. marshydro also has a similar model to yours, that is cheaper and more liked by the community. Otherwise if u wanna stick to SF, go with the G model its better for your elecricity bill and just a newer model of the brand, so probably some other upgardes aswell

PPFD maps looks almost identical. Did not look to much in the difference of the light but I think go with whatever is cheapest. Also look into some of the users here who are sponsored by them, they will likely have a coupon code to use for further discounts. And with the holidays their is likely to be some good sales going on as well. You could reach out to SF and ask them when their next big sale is gonna be as you in the market for a light or just look at past ones if they are documented anywhere. could say marz is offering you a deal but you like SF more and wanted to get one on sale so its the same price. start a price war lol Also check out medic grow for lights with a good price point.
