How do you get the plant being so long in vegetative state?

@RatmanJR
, Okay thanks for the info. Also I was wondering, does it hurt the young plants putting them outside in full sunlight after week 1? The weather here is around 28 degrees in the sunlight. Btw I'm very interested in your grow, I'm following ;)

It really depends on the bulb type when deciding how far the lamp should be from the plant if its a CFL you can probably get her pretty close as long as your hand feels comfortable at the same height as the plants. LEDs need to sit a lot further though and will depend on the wattage of the individual diodes in the LED fixture. An LED fixture with 1 w diodes will be able to sit a lot closer than an LED fixture with 5 w diodes. Looking at your pictures your seedlings are stretching quite a bit so that leads me to believe your light definitely isn't too close and may be able to get closer. Good luck with the grow, I'm currently growing the same indoors.
