Calmag: Preventing & Correcting Deficiency Calcium and magnesium are two of the macro elements that are significant to plants’ growth and development. Calcium (Ca) is a critical structural component of cell walls. Magnesium (Mg) is part of the chlorophyll molecule, which makes up the green pigment of leaves and, most importantly, absorbs energy from sunlight, which creates sugars. Our Calmag is highly concentrated and treats / prevents calcium/magnesium deficiencies. This allows your plants to grow and develop at a maximum rate. When growing with additional CO2, Calcium & Magnesium are needed to keep the plant green and healthy. Calmag helps to boost your plants’ chlorophyll production while fighting Magnesium and Calcium deficiencies. Calmag also works to increase your yield by boosting sugars and plant health. Our Calmag formula has high ratios of Calcium and Magnesium, but it also includes Nitrogen. We include Nitrogen in our formula to support photosynthesis and to produce amino acids that will turn into enzymes for your plant. It is very common for growers to need additional Nitrogen when dealing with Cal / Mag issues.
