Wassuuuup my dudes 21 days into flowering and the results from the lst and defoliation are showing up. Multiple healthy tops and even the small nodes under the canopy are growing bigger, if all goes well I won’t have many popcorn nugs but I’ll have just big buds (let’s hope) I guess this also means they won’t stretch much more but I think some more height would be good for yield, anyway, can’t complain for the 1st grow and this is a process, there are no perfect grows! This week was also a week to add some more nutrients (the plagron) and it’s working very well for now! Let’s wait for the next few weeks, can’t wait to see the fatty buds 😂 Tell me what you think!

With great joy I will start my second season growing cannabis. I hope to learn from some small mistakes from the first season where I was surprised by my performance as a first-time sailor cultivating the BlueDream strain. This season I left the 4 seeds of GorillaGlue 36hrs in a pot of water to break the dormancy. After that I used the napkin technique for more 42 hrs. So I put each one in a 5-gallon airpot, as they are automatic and go to harvest in the same pot. After 24hrs in the vase the first 2 little leaves came out. I made a homemade dome with a 2-gallon water bottle, cutting it into strips and lining it with plastic with some holes to keep the humidity high during this initial phase. We entered the first week of cultivation and unfortunately due to an oversight I got confused in the fertilizer table and clearly the dreaded overfert happened. I did a watering only with water to try to remove the excess fertilizer let's hope it works.

Day 3 for the gutter hoes and they are in the system. I am using a 4 ft section of gutter with caps on both ends. The bottom is lined wit about half an inch of pea gravel for better drainage. Then filled with perlite. A feed line will pump nutrients to the end of the gutter that is elevated about an inch. The nutrients drain back to the reservoir and will be circulated 24 hours a day. This alleviates the need for an air pump since the return water oxygenates the 4 gallon reservoir. Just a cheap nft style setup I guess you would call it.

Today October 25th is the First day of Week 6 In Flower. Received the Refractometer and got right to pressing. First I tried a mortar and pestle to extract the sap -- this worked ok but took a lot of time and force. Then I tried 2 spoons held together and squeezed with vice grips (didn't work for me). 2 Pieces of MDF board squeezed together with vice grips didn't work either. I guess I'm not strong enough. Tried a blender, a hand blender...neither of these worked! Then the vice, it was faster and took less force to extract the sap. Works great! Took leaves from top to bottom of each individual plant. (16 plants) Rolled a few leaves up, put in a numbered piece of parchment and pressed.....voila...sap😃 Refractometer was already calibrated and ready to go. Placed sap on meter, held up to light and there it is! My first BRIX reading😮 using $28 Refractometer. Going to change base nutrients to a "hard water" formula. So impressed with Harley Smith that I've ordered some NPK RAW products. Like the idea of micro dosing. I sent Harley an email and he replied the same day! Not a canned response either. So cool. Thanks Harley! AND he took a look at GrowDiaries and this grow✊😃 What a kind gentleman. 😇 Hope I didn't go overboard but I watered again today with amino acids and cal mend to try to fix this Calcium def. Will Brix leaves tomorrow and see if this makes a difference. The brix line yesterday was very clear and very easy to read indicating a calcium def. Maybe locked out from too much phosphorous or hard water? Watered Oct 29 & 30 Temp 20 PH 6.4 EC 1.9 Runoff EC 1.9 to 2.3 after at least 2-3 Gallons of water put thru each pot. Some pots Runoff were way off the charts😵EC 3.6! . Put water thru until EC hit 2.3 on 2 pots others were EC 1.9 to 2.1. Put 56 Gallons or 220L thru plants over a 2 day period until I reached a better EC.

*Increaded PPM to 650 *Last plant showed sex it’s s Female. Looked like a male almost chopped it. *We Can say we got a 60% female return. *These are ready to flower but need to take clones first.

Beatiful smell of fruit came in from this girl! Althought I had overfert problems, the situation seems to be under control. After 9 days from the root flushing the girl seems to be very strong and her flowers grows fast!

Colas are quite frosty now, though i hoped that they would be more fat by now. I already feed her extra phosphorus and potassium, to help the buds fatten up. Edit: on day 55 I’m beginning to see amber trichomes, so i cleaned out the tank and fed plain ph’ed water with very little nutes. In a couple of days i will give her 2 days in darkness with only water.

420Fastbuds Week 7 Gorilla Cookies Auto The 2 of these seem to be growing great. The bigger one seems to have taken the fasttrack to flower as they both sprouted around the same time. The smaller one is by no means doing bad it's just a little slower but by the looks of it I'll guess it'll be close the the same size as the taller one that's close to 40in tall from the top of the soil. The taller one has preflowers all over and even though is tall stacked nice so the spacing on branches between flower sites isn't to far. This week the temps have been dropping from the low 90's to the mid 70's during the day and into the 50's at night. Got some rain today so humidity is up to 65% but I upped my fans so hopefully will be ok and it was a fluke storm so guessing tomorrow will be back to sunshine and nice weather. 👉The calixs have gotten plump and not many fresh pistols are around, just the occasional on on each cola. Fox-tailing has been more pronounced and what looks like a see has appered at the tips of a couple of colas. I have not seen a hermie bit , but the plant is big and impossible to inspect very closely. I wont be able to get a better look at it until the gorilla is out of the tent and I can move the plant into the center and rotate it. The lowest leaves around the base have started yellowing between the veins. I'm sure I'm not finished with all the little issues this plant will show. The aroma is nice and sweet, hard to smell it over the intensely strong Gorilla glue, which I just finished harvesting. To touch the buds leaves a pine sol aroma that is typical. 👉I moved thru the 8 week mid bloom mix to the 9th week mid bloom mix on the General Hydroponics Drain to waste feed chart for the Flora series. I will move to the 10th week late bloom tomorrow. I have given two (I think...at least two) H2Only irrigations (always followed by full strength fertigations. I may move to the Ripen mix by the end of the week. I think I was expecting it to take a little longer but I may have been wrong. With the plant alone in the tent now I can rotate it again and get a better overal veiw of the plant. Many of the trichomes are already cloudy and this one may finish before the buds get very plump. But that's fine, they are super frosty and dense enough. The structure looks just what a sativa bud might look like, just needs to plump up a bit.
