Strawberry Gorilla Auto - FastBuds Welcome to week 11 of my grow diary, which is also the last week. As predicted last week, the weather has become even warmer. The heat has now completely taken over the house, and it has also rained for a few days, causing the humidity to rise again. Unfortunately, this led to mold forming on one shoot, so I decided to take action. Normally, the plant could have stayed in place for another 1-2 weeks for my needs, but I didn't want to take any risks and harvested it in week 11. Overall, I was satisfied with the growth of the plant. Environmental conditions are unpredictable in summer and more difficult to control than in winter/spring. I was able to gain more experience with this grow and now know that I should take a break in summer from now on. I really liked the mainlining. Before, I topped above node 2 and left 4 main shoots. With 2 main shoots, it is much easier to work with and does not require as much defoliation as with 4. I will definitely use this technique again in the future. Here's some initial feedback on the Strain "Strawberry Gorilla Auto" from FastBuds and the Organic Starter Kit from Advanced Nutrients: The plant grew really well and has enormous potential. The buds were so swollen towards the end that I was amazed. The organic fertilizer from Advanced Nutrients probably also had an influence. This was my very first purely organic grow, and I think I can be satisfied with the result. I can wholeheartedly recommend the fertilizer. I will definitely use it again in future projects and will probably do a comparison grow between the mineral and organic starter kits. Avg. Temperature - 27°C Avg. Humidity - 68% Avg. VPD - 1,16kPA The lamp runs at 60% which is 356w according to the energy meter. At a distance of 20cm the plant gets around 950-1100ppfd. Thank you for following me so far. DAY 65: Whelp, 8 weeks of shaming, abuse, experimentation, more shaming, and neglect-- the Lucky Charms plant is a f***ing female! Absolutely in-shock. I was so happy to learn she's a girl, but at the same moment was filled with so much regret, for how much better I could have treated this plant/how much larger I could have grown it. Just wow. So I took a clone cutting. It was a little small, but hopefully she takes because this plant is more resilient than a cockroach!! The White Widow plant is steady bushin' in the veg area with the little ones. I really love how short and stocky I've managed to get this plant through all the LST. Its starting to feel. like a bonsai tree. It has certainly earned its adulthood after the catastrophe it endured in Week-5. DAY 68: The re-potting of the Lucky Charms stunted its growth as expected, but its got a long way to stretch, so it should be able to utilize most of the new space. Itching to repot the White Widow. She's ready. Im just short on medium and space at the moment :/

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Ok, so I forgot to update this last week. woops, I will try and remember all the details but im sure to be forgetting something. I decided to strip the plants a bit as I felt their bottom half under the canopy was a bit to thick and under performing It has a bunch of shity stems and buds trying to develop and they where looking sad and spindly, not enough light, If i had under canopy lighting sure that's fine I'd leave em and they would thicken up, but I don't; so they had to go. I selected defoliation as a techniques used but I did not touch anything in the canopy. only below it, it was all not performing well and would have just increased the risk of bad airflow and maybe rot come late flower. I also have been noticing more issues with the one plant then the others and my hydro shop guys said it need more feed, I don't know how much I agree with them about that, they do not grow with amendments but it was time for the topdressing anyways. I mixed up the stuff and worked it into the top soil of the plants outside on the deck, when watering it in I also mixed it with my hands, I found this helps hydrate the Gaia Green powders and prevented them from forming dry pucks in the top layer. I think I need to always do this morning forward with all top dressings as just mixing it into the dry soil then watering is causing to much resistance and the top layer then gets a little bit crusty and hydrophobic, but mixing in while watering at the same time has prevented that from what I can tell. I also gave them a bit of a liquid soluble calcium as the PH was creeping back up again and didn't want that to be locked out. It helped to green up some of the plants again still the one is a bit to yellow for my liking. The top dress consisted of AP 4-4-4, PB 2-8-4 and some IF 3-2-4 Mixed it all up with something else can't remember, probably fulvic acids and magnesium. I also did a bit of a calibration on my tools as well as I felt they might be off a bit. The EC was not to bad, off by 41ppm or 0.082EC vs the base solution, my unit is a 500 scale pen eg. 500ppm=1.0EC PH was a bit more off by PH 0.18 from the PH 4.01 calibration solution. I did not do a before for the PH 7.01 calibration solution as I started at 4.01 but its still close enough in the end at PH 7.03. The storage solution is almost always the same as the PH 4.01 calibration solution. In their manual it says if you don't have any storage solution just use the PH 4.01 calibration solution. I feel they maybe the same thing but one has red dye and some stabilizers in it. Who knows. O and when working on my deck garden I was upcycleing the old cannabis growing mediums into the planters from the strawberry tent grow off, the one shaft from an older plant was purple inside when I broke it. It sat outside all winter so who knows what it was, I'm guessing its just anthocyanins or something similar. Defoliated this week, they don't seem to bothered. 😅 maybe they didn't even notice. I will give them a week then Defoliated again if necessary.

Much appreciate all your likes, follows and comments. 🙏💚❤️💜 Week 13 Jan 8- Jan 14 This was another amazing week. Girls are behaved very well. Drinking their juice like crazy. 2 waterings of 9ltrs on Jan 10th and Jan 13th. Runoffs at ph 6.2. Buds are gaining some serious weight and the trichomes development is of the charts. Girls are covered with frost. Trichomes are mainly milky now with individual ambers here and there. On Jan 10 noticed on one Athena top colas a white topped bud! It's something that has never happened to me. It may be only led bleach or it's something abnormal and phenomenal. It's white and has red and amber pistil hairs in between and all covered with trichomes. Few days after. White coulour is not spreading and not seeing any damages. The smell in my cabinet its insane. Very sweet scents. I wouldn't say bananas but definitely sweet berries and gummies 🤤 new dehumidifier doing an amazing job. Humidity when light is on is between 49-54% and 52-58% when lights are out. It's all looking that my 🍌💜👊 girls will be ladies very soon. Harvest is coming big time. Next week planning to gradually cut nutrients down and prepare for flush. 22/9first update since I've been on holiday, I left the plants in the best hands i could find 👌💚 23/9 really pleased with plant #2 I've taken plenty of clones off her before she was in flower(and gifted to friends/kept a couple). Any water she will have this week will just be water & little calmag 24/9 both starting to show where bud sites will soon be, I hope!! Plant 2 has definitely been the start child the whole grow. 25/9 plant 1 popping pistils alot quicker than plant 2 26/9 growing well but taking a while to start flowering, I'm not sure if that's just me being impatient or what?! Either way plant 2 is actually going to be a monster at this rate. I increased boost nutes in hope it will speed things up 27/9 not sure if plant 2 is popping green pistils or she is just a layer bloomer 🤔 plant 1 was put in to flower a little bit later than #2 however she is starting to bloom quicker. Maybe just different phenos? Or maybe because I fucked up with the light timer the other week, who bloody knows?! 28/9 fiiinally starting to get pistils on the larger plant!! I was getting worried she would never stop growing!

Things have been pretty much hands off since flipping to flower. They haven't even been wanting water lately. Which is weird cause they usually start to drink a lot more during the first few weeks of flower especially during the stretching phase. But they're all still really happy and healthy! They're also due for a feeding too. It's been about 24 days since the last feeding. Which was the 50/50 ratio of Gaia Green's All Purpose and power bloom. They got that during the their transplanting 24 days ago. But I'm going to hold off on feeding because they're all still looking like they have enough food. Still really healthy and dark green. And the very tips of the leaves are still yellowing. Which means they don't need anymore food.
