Pretty quiet week in the tent. We did a little defoliation during the middle of the week but they are already full little bushes again. We raised the light up a bit to try and get them to stretch from the pots so we can lollipop in a few weeks. Our soil plants are doing very well too, @Foxfarm has really proven to be a great soil and the northen soul strain loves it. The smell inside the tent is definitely strong and they have been drinking alot more water.

This was the last week of veg for these girls. Flipped the light to 12/12 on day 33 and added a pinch of maxibloom to the reservoir. Will be upping the maxibloom as I lower the maxigro a little over the next couple weeks until the stretch is over. Then will start adding some flower boosters to try to build some fat sticky buds. Couldn't ask for a smoother veg as far as nutrient maintenance goes. The plants have required defoliation pretty much daily and their growth rate has been great so having to readjust their tie downs every couple days. Will continue to spread the branches out a little as they make their stretch. Most of the girls are pretty uniform other than there is a sugar cane that is turning into a monster. Pretty sure she is going to put on a huge stretch. And one of the slurricane is a bit of a runt compared to the rest but I like that there is some difference because it means I have a better chance of getting to sample more phenotypes. I have started a breeding project diary on the strawberry eclair already, but keeping my eye out for a couple more candidates to clone. Going to wait until they show them trichomes before deciding though. Should start to pop some pistils and stack some calyxes in about 2 weeks.

Strange week for the plants as I switch in Hygrozyme Enzyme to help with the roots. A lot of dead tissue being consumed by beneficial microbes and fungi. PH rise more than 10 fold every 24 hours while EC levels rise by a point or two. The old roots are dying and being consumed new while bright, crisp, white roots are appearing. New growth is vigorous and the plants seem to enjoy the transition as hard as it is. The addition of an enzyme has produced amazing results that were shocking and worrying at first. Massive rise in EC and PH every 24 hours from 5.3 - 6.8. Research yet no sign of any harm to the plants, in fact they seem very happy! The enzymes has created an environment friendly to the beneficial microbes and fungi that has lead to a feeding frenzy (Which wouldn't have happened ad I used Hygrozyme from the start.). EC rises a point or two as the microbes and plants expel waste and create a plethora of negative charged hydrogen ions. Thus, the PH rises. Never above 6.8, strangely. Because the microbes are eating and shitting so well, they have added a lot of chilated nutrients that are easier for the plants to uptake at a wider range of PH (Yes, some as high as 6.8). The fact that there are so many bunches of calyxes sprouting and exploding, filling in the flower space is proof enough for me. So she was chopped (wet trimmed) yesterday (F74) and is now hanging up to dry at 55% RH and temps between 15 and 18ºc. I made fresh frozen dry ice hash today using a 160 micron bubble bag, a flat surface, 8kg of dry ice and a couple 5 gal buckets. I already have the weights for that, which far exceeded my expectations. Those figures I will post once she is dried and in 1 quart screw top glass jars. People suppose dry ice hash is inferior quality vs bubble hash. I am not experienced enough to comment on that but must say it is extremely easy to make hash with dry ice, it took 40 mins to process 995g of trim which included sugar leaves, some stems and popcorn buds. I then pressed it into 3.5g briquettes for storage using a pollen press. As you can see from videos, this stuff is all blonde - and after already trying some today with some friends, it knocked our boots off! Will be back in 5-7 days with harvest figures, smoke analysis and other details! Happy growing all! An explosion of growth this week and increased LST. All girls have now shown their white pistils and look like they are kicking into gear ready to start flower this week. I have increased their feed slightly and will be adding a few additives throughout the coming weeks. I will be sticking with the AN range this grow so I'm very interested to see how that goes as I haven't used them before. The plants are already starting to give off a lovely skunky aroma so I have a feeling these are going to really stink the place up! Next week will be defoliation and more LST as these start to go even wilder! Peace QB

Not much to say :-) Everything as it should be 👍 The larger ones are the Blue Cheese and Tangie Kosher Kush, the 2 smaller ones are the Troppicana Banana. Sour Diesel, San Fernando Lemon Kush and Girl Scout Cookies are the new ones. The new ones came because unfortunately the Purple Punch and Dos Si Dos 33 didn't work :-(

Week 10 The Trichomes are cloudy and some are amber, their production are so huge that looks like a snow blizzard frosted over the nugs! The Plant has dryed after a flush and been left in complete darkness 2 days ago! The smell reek the entire house! It´s time for Harvest! 👌 RQS fabric pots 😎 VS cheap ebay fabric pots 💩 Extra oxygen to the roots can help extend cannabis growth rates, in RQS pots, cannabis plants will not become “root-bound”, which is when roots cover the ends of the container and “choke” the plant. It is a very big problem for any plant to become root bound, but in these, that doesn’t happen since the plant will receive plenty of air, which will lead to the plant naturally “air pruning” itself, and forgoing the roots wrapping around the container edges. Because the air comes in from all sides, your plant will receive a lot of oxygen, and thereby avoid getting “wet feet” from overwatering. When water sits in your pot for too long, it can lead to root rot and other diseases that put your crop at risk. Because of such consistent air-filtration, pots will have to be irrigated more frequently because the soil will continually dry out from the exposure. Still your plants will ultimately be protected from over watering and the problems that arise from it. This pots comes with handles, which makes transportation easier and they´re built with top quality materials, wich make them more rigid than cheap fabric pots that i experienced before, rigidity means easily moving pots around and RQS pots rigid shape reduces damage to plants and roots during transportation and prevents from folding over during filling or watering.
