Good growth this week, the roots have already reached the pots! The Blackberry Cake seems to develop nicely but it's still smaller than the two others. I topped the plants and started to apply some LST and they responded very well. This is the first time I try to do some LST without bending the main stem, let's see how it goes. I increased the light power to 75%. I moved the fan to be further away from the Blackberry Cake because it seems that it suffered from the wind, the leaves look and feel dry. During watering, only a small quantity of water ran down in the saucer and I poured 2l in each pot. The Blackberry Cake and the Cashew Kush looked a bit droopy, I think I should have watered a bit sooner. So at the start of week 3 I began to LST CM#3 to just experiment basically and topped CM#2 I believe. Again, just to experiment. This is my first grow and I was stunned with the reactions to both! The new growth after topping was about 1/4” in about 12hrs.. Crazy to me and the lst is proving to expose these bud sites and encourage amazing growth QUICK!! I’ll continue to train daily. One of the videos show the topped CM just yesterday. In 4 days, it’s grown soo much! Also, a video mentions the gender reveal but since then, all 4 have officially revealed themselves as female at the 22 day mark.

Holaa, empezaremos este seguimiento desde la 4ªsemana. (ya que lo comencé y no fotografíe desde el principio, servirá para aprender) Son dos esquejes que me regalaron los cuales no estaban identificados. Estamos en invierno en mi país por lo que tengo problemas con la temperatura, ahora cambie mi iluminación led y está aumento la temperatura a 20ºC cuando esta prendida que es algo mas aceptable en comparación a los 16º o máximo 18ºC que se llegaba con el anterior. Ahora falta corregir la temperatura con el led apagado, estoy pensando que haré. Esa será la principal dificultad de este cultivo. Si alguien tiene alguna recomendación será bien recibida!

Week 8 Pure water feeding

The permanent markers are doing alright. They're still really short compared to the others, but they're finally starting to take off. I can kinda see them catching up soon. The new year is off to a frosty start! We've had snow falling for what feels like forever. My kids are loving it, of course. They're building forts, having snowball fights, and turning everything into a winter wonderland. It's been a lot of fun to watch them enjoy it. All this snow is really making me think about how quickly time flies. It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating the holidays, and now here we are knee-deep in winter. I'm looking forward to warmer weather, but for now, I'm enjoying the quiet beauty of fresh snow.

LSD is now 52 days today I did low stress training some defoliation also add a nutrients for the week. I was confused on how to stop her from getting to the light. I lost my net so on the 54th day I created a homemade net out Pipe cleaners. Wish me luck so far everything looks great 👍🏾

🗓️ WEEK 4 / DAYS 22-28 (flo) 💧 The fourth week of flowering is marked by the introduction of a PK 8/9 booster, Green Sensation, into the nutrient solution. This joins the Power Buds flowering stimulator already in use since the transition phase, precisely following the Plagron feeding schedule. Consequently, given the plant's current needs, we are increasing the concentration of phosphorus and potassium in the nutrient mix. The pH is oscillating between 5.9 and 6.2, and she is consuming approximately 3 liters per day. 🌱 The plant is now entering the full flowering stage and appears to be in great condition. She is still stretching, having grown from 54 cm to 65 cm in height this week, although this is expected to cease shortly. Encouragingly, several side branches have almost reached the same height as the central cola, which is excellent news for uniform light absorption (look at day 27 flo). Towards the end of the week, I performed another substantial defoliation, 13 days after the previous one, and also removed the lowest branches that were not receiving sufficient light. Having already undergone several defoliations during the vegetative and transition phases, the plant is responding well even to this significant intervention during this delicate stage.

Went ahead and supercropped as they were getting a little tall. It seemed to have gone mostly well as they have recovered quickly and there are many more bud sites than before. It’s still early in flower but the Pineapple Express 1 is already full of crystals. The rest are behind but looking good. They all seem to love their nutrients. This week I will try topping off with a nutrient mix just to keep the TDS from dropping like it did last week. The LUX is around 70K on the top of the canopy! The growth seems to have slowed. There are many bud-sites but I wonder how much this will yield if there isn’t much more vertical growth. Overall feels to be going in the right direction. Learning how to maximize in this space can be challenging!

Hello everybody! This week will be the hardest one. I’ll have to work a lot inside the room, and even on GD to document all the changes. Last week I topped for the last time (in reality this happened the first day of this week), and finally stopped with high stress training. From now on, our attention will fall totally on ScrOG. Day 43: Topped the 4 colas at the extremities. Red blood came out from them (see the photos). Amazing! Sorry for the bad quality, but I got just the phone with me when I did the job. When I took the second photo (a few hours later), the plant had already sucked up all the lymph. You can still see the red blood by the way. Day 44: Set the timer to start with 12/12 from midnight of day 45. Day 45: SO MANY THINGS HAPPENED TODAY. Flowering started, baby! 🤩 Today, in the evening, I worked for about 4 hours to prepare the ScrOG environment. - Improved the LST before placing the grid. - Took some photos. - Removed the humidifier. - Since my LED panel has half of the blue lights broken (this happened three weeks ago), resulting in 100W less of total potency, I added 3 new lights pointing where the panel is broken (2x 36W led bulbs and 1x 30W COB led light). I uploaded a photo and a video to better understand what I’m talking about. I even tried changing the broken LED driver, but it didn’t work, so now I’ll have to wait until the end of this cycle to send it to maintenance. - Put 20gr of BatMagno (which is bat guano), 10gr of “Farina di Neem” (Neem Flour), and 50gr of Alghe, all of them over the soil. I’ll write something about these fertilizers at the end of the comment. - 4.5L of tap water (corrected to PH6.5), which gave zero runoff. Haha, she’s drinking like a camel. - Placed the grid. - Took a few photos. - Little defoliation. - Took all the other photos. - There we go! I preferred not to add the bloom fertilizer now because I’m a little worried about overfertilizing this baby. During veg, she showed me she doesn’t like nutrients, so I’m just listening to her requests. I’ll add the bloom one as soon as she seems hungry again. By the way she’s just 20cm tall (I’m so proud of this result) and the grid is located a few centimeters above her. Let’s see if I switched to 12/12 at the right time: I heard this strain usually stretches for about 6 weeks!!! 😱😱 Let’s talk about the ferts I placed on the surface of the soil. - BatGuano: it’s a mixture of organic fertilizers of natural origin and suitable to produce a high amount of organic nitrogen and phosphorus that can be assimilated at 100%. It’s a natural slow-release fertilizer for flowering: the raw materials used (guano, dried borlanda with ammonium salts, kieserite of natural origin, flagpole, meat meal, bone meal and dried poultry) are the result of a careful selection which ensures a low salinity and a gradual transfer of the elements. The phosphorus content in BatMagno (being organic) does not undergo insolubilization. - Alghe: they are a portentose substrate activator made of a mixture of algae of the species Ascophillum, Fucales and Laminariales, obtained through a process of dehydration and grinding without the use of any chemical substance. They can be used during the preparation of the soil, and increase and strengthen the formation of the root system, mobilize the nutrients in the soil, reinvigorate the plants, protecting them from adverse weather conditions, help plants to overcome stress conditions and improve the quantity and quality of production. All of this is possible thanks to the presence of betaine, cytokinins, vitamins, auxins and alginates polysaccharides. - Farina di Neem (Neem Flour): it’s a vegetable product based on Neem seeds, obtained from the extraction of Neem Oil through a process of cold-squizzing out, which increases crops, improving both growth and flowering, as well as strengthening the roots of the plants. The Neem Flour is mixed with nitrogen fertilizers, that slow down the conversion and leaching of nitrogen. Repeated interventions improve the endogenous resistance of plants to pathogens, creating an unsuitable environment for the development of insects and cryptogams. Due to the presence of important trace elements for plant life, it prevents imbalances and nutritional disorders. It also protects plants from Nematodes, ants, insects and soil larvae. Let’s say Alghe is the most smelly product. My room now smells like seaweed! I need to figure out how to give her water now that the grid is on. I think I’ll plug a 2m pipe at the end of my watering can. That’s the most easy and cheap way to fix this problem. I just need to find the right size of the pipe. I’ll show you my solution next week.

Girls are really starting to to take off now. Ramping up the nutrients slightly and started defoliation. It's interesting to see the phenotypes coming out. 3 plants. One short and bushy, one in between and one tall and lanky. Excited to watch the rest of the grow and how they end up. Off to a really good start. Tons of side growth. Completely topped 2 of them and fimmed the last one to see what happens. Currently trying to figure out the timelapse on my camera it only wants to save in few second long clips. I'll get it. I posted them anyway they are kinda neat.

Second grow ever - Not seen much about Diablo xl but know it’s a cross between jack herer and big devil #2. Excited to see how this one goes. Wed 3rd March - Placed Diablo XL into ph balanced water and put in a warm dark place for 24 hours Thur 4th March - Seed has sunk after 24hours have made my own propagation kit which I will place in a blacked out tub for the next 3 days. I will check up on it every day to see if soil is still damp. Fri 5th March - No sprout today if she doesn’t sprout by tomorrow night I will give some light to give her energy. Sat 6th March - Still no sign will put light on tonight. Happy growing. Sun 7th March - Wooo! She’s showing signs of sprouting can see she’s trying to get out her she’ll casing. Excited to see what I wake up to tomorrow!! 🍁

SLH#1 is more Sativa like, thinner leaves, bigger internodal space, smaller buds and looks like its going to take a little longer to finish flowering. SLH#2 is more Indica like, large leaves, more bushy, compact, bigger buds. They've been vegged for 3 months from seed, then clones were taken, 2 clones selected to become mother-plants (kept outside the fridge, in another cabinet), and 4 clones were sent to flower. They are in 7L containers, except for one plant (#2) that's in a 3L container. Vegged for 2 weeks after the transplant and then set lights to 12/12

Day 114. Gorilla Max is totally ready, maybe she would bulk up, but last white pistil went brown at least a week ago. Time to trim. Bud not solid, but kinda hard, bottom all airy and small, but she smells and sticky like hell, so fruity ... Had to chop her, because got tiered of seeds everywhere, so cleaned my draws and fridge, from 45 found bag seeds started new diary, had to make space for them. Want to try out 12/12 from start and even if i would leave them under natural sun , they would stretch too much in first stage of grow and would repeat that grow patern indoors. Scissors hash was nice, super soft, hard to roll, all stays on hands. On this plant found two seeds, maybe some hidden in colas, but its not even close to bad that i was imagining at the beginning. My watering damage is obvious, Gorilla Max and Bunny were best plants, now - they are smallest... Last weeks very important, till week 5 of flower and that incident they were leaders, overdrying don't work . Hope i will learn this lesson. Day 120. Last 3 girls are down. Gorilla Max - 88 g. Of dry bud. Think she and Bunny will be smallest of them all. Buds are airy, but very sticky and all calaxies went pink. So in spliff it looks really funky. Needed to lolitop them higher, maybe overall look and cola structure would be better then. Lanky Gorilla is a champ, no doubt. Think this girl should beat 4 ounces easy. Day 126. So total of all 4 plants is 401. A bit less than was hoping, but target achieved. Update will follow.

Thats week 6 of flower in the bag. 3 (maybe 4) go! I wont lie I have been visiting the tent more often these days thanks to the beautiful aroma tempting me to have a look at their progress. The last 24 hours has been quite satisfying for me because the bud growth is now steaming ahead. I wish I had taken photos last night but I showed the girls to a friend yesterday and we could see all the bud sites peeking through but when I checked on them this afternoon the buds are exploding through with vigor! Ive taken another video and a fair few bud shots but next week I will be taking more photos to show you more than just top bud growth as these girls are stacking up! Ive always been really envious of other growers who top their plants multiple times and take the time to ensure the canopy is as level as possible but Im quite proud of my girls canopy and multiple top colas! Anyway, so all I have been doing is continuing with a water and seaweed extract feed, still about 5litres each and they had their last top amendment feed last weed which will last them to the end now and I want them to use up as much of the nutrients available in the soil before I start flushing in the next couple of weeks. For anyone reading who doesnt know about flushing, Ill explain. Flushing is a technique used by growers to get rid of as much of the added nutrients in the medium by 'flushing' around 3 times the volume of the pot the plant is growing in with normal tap water (ensuring the water is at the right PH). Essentially you want to flush the plant in 3 batches so that the medium has time to settle between each flush ensuring you get all the nutrients and minerals out of the medium. You will notice that the run off will get lighter and lighter with each batch of flushing which is the nutrients being flushed out. We do this so that the plant is forced to use its own nutrients which in turn I have found also fattens up the buds. This is the time when you start to notice a change of colour in your plants as they start to use up the nutrients stored in the leaves. Dont panic as these deficiencies are just a sign that the nutrients are being used up and you will end up with bud that will dry better and be less prone to mold issues as well as a smoother smoke and better terpene profiles.
