As promised — I fixed everything, dialed it in 🙂 Plants are doing great now, growing fast and looking healthy. You often see people asking: “My runoff pH keeps dropping, what should I do?” I used to recommend increasing potassium, even though at that point it was just a theoretical assumption — I hadn’t actually tested it yet. Well… now I have. And it works. Situation: Input pH is stable around ~5.8, but runoff pH keeps dropping over time (in my case down to 5.2, even 4.7 on one plant). At the same time, EC is either dropping or at least not increasing. I tried light flushing — yes, it helps temporarily, but: Only short-term — next day pH drops again Adds unnecessary stress to the plant (basically suffocating the roots) Solution: Increase potassium. First, I boosted it by about +50%, then added another +30% on top of that. Example: I had ~2 ml per 10L → increased to 4 ml → after 2 days up to 5.5 ml of Canna Mono K. It took about 3 days to stabilize — runoff pH went back up to ~5.7–6.0. If you’re using base nutrients: Just get some Canna Mono K — it’s made exactly for situations like this. Yeah, I know I’m basically mixing my whole solution around it, even though Canna says you can’t build a complete feed with it alone — but in practice, it works for me. Also, side note — now 10L lasts me about 2 days. And that’s it for veg — switched to 12/12 on day 36.

🌱 Germination Journey with Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco 🌱 Hey Grow Fam! Today kicks off an exciting adventure with Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco genetics. I’ve got 10 regular seeds ready to sprout, and I’m looking forward to discovering some beautiful female phenotypes—and maybe even a standout male for potential future breeding. It’s been a while since I’ve worked with regular seeds, so I’m thrilled to dive in! Germination Process Overview: Here’s a step-by-step rundown of the germination setup and process, with a special focus on the equipment and nutrients that are helping these seeds thrive right from the start. Step 1: TheCannaKan Germination Pod 🌱 For germination, I rely on TheCannaKan—a device I’ve come to love and trust. It’s designed to create the perfect microclimate for seed germination, and within just 24 hours, the seeds started showing signs of life. By the 32-hour mark, they were all ready to be transferred to the next stage! I can’t recommend this gadget enough for anyone serious about getting strong, early growth from their seeds. • Why TheCannaKan? • Humidity Control: Ensures seeds stay hydrated without oversaturation. • Stable Temperature: Maintains an even temperature around the seeds, so there’s no shock or stalling. • Enhanced Oxygenation: Keeps fresh air circulating, helping prevent mold and ensuring seeds don’t suffocate. Step 2: Transfer to Root Riots & Aptus Holland Supplements 💧 Once the seeds were sprouted, I transferred them into Root Riots, known for their excellent water retention and structure that encourages strong root growth. Root Riots also have a pH-balanced, spongy texture that makes it easy for roots to penetrate, promoting sturdy, healthy root systems. At this stage, I started using Aptus Holland’s Regulator and Startbooster at 1ml/L each. Here’s why I chose these products for early growth: • Aptus Regulator (1ml/L): Helps strengthen the plants against environmental stresses by supporting cell wall structure. It’s a fantastic choice for giving young seedlings an early boost in resilience. • Aptus Startbooster (1ml/L): This product provides essential microbes and nutrients that stimulate root growth and early plant vigor. Especially for regular seeds, the early root development makes a noticeable difference in later growth stages. Step 3: Lighting with Future of Grow (FOG) LED at 200 PPFD 💡 For lighting, I’m using a Future of Grow (FOG) 600W LED. For the germination stage, I’ve dimmed it to around 200 PPFD (photosynthetic photon flux density), which provides just enough light for healthy, strong seedling growth without overwhelming them. • Why Low Intensity? • 200 PPFD ensures that young plants aren’t exposed to too much light, which could cause stress or stunting. This level of intensity is perfect for encouraging healthy development without risking “stretching.” • The FOG LED provides a balanced spectrum tailored to plant growth, setting up these young sprouts for success as they grow. Step 4: Environmental Control with TrolMaster Tent X Controller 📲 For monitoring and control, I’m using the TrolMaster Tent X Controller, which lets me dial in every aspect of the environment to make sure these little ones have the perfect conditions for germination and early growth. • TrolMaster Benefits: • Precision Control: Adjust temperature, humidity, and lighting all in one place. • Notifications: Sends updates in real-time to my device, so I can make adjustments as needed without being physically present. • Consistency: Maintains stable conditions around the clock, reducing stress on seedlings and ensuring they’re thriving. Grow Tips & Reflections: Germination is one of the most crucial stages in a plant’s lifecycle. Starting with strong genetics like Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco, combined with a solid germination setup and the right nutrients, creates the foundation for a successful grow. 💡 Quick Tips for Fellow Growers: • Hydration Balance: Don’t oversaturate! Moisture levels should be high enough for the seeds to sprout but not so wet that they drown. • Light Management: A low PPFD for young seedlings prevents stretch and keeps nodes tight, preparing them for a healthy vegetative phase. • Environment Consistency: Use a reliable controller like the TrolMaster Tent X to manage your settings, and consider monitoring tools for real-time adjustments. Shout Outs to the Community: Big thanks to Terpyz Genetics for these incredible seeds, Aptus Holland for their top-notch nutrients, Future of Grow for the stellar LED lights, and TrolMaster for the amazing controller. Also, shout out to all of you in the growing community—you make this journey exciting and filled with endless learning. Let’s keep growing and sharing together! That’s it for the germination update! Next up, I’ll be monitoring growth closely to identify strong females (and maybe a standout male for breeding). Stay tuned for updates on our Mutant Mentha de Croco adventure—this is just the beginning! Nice strain to grow overall especially for the terps it produced, yield was more on the low side as expected from one for these "hype" strains or whatever you want to call them.

I am very satisfied with the Big Bazooka strain; it is not stressed by being transplanted into a larger pot, nor by using LST (Low-Stress Training) or main-lining techniques. It's important not to water it abundantly and to have fertile soil with proper drainage. Day 22. After LST, even though it was a bit stressed, I keep the ppm between 200-220 until it gives more nodes. Day 25 of vegetation is going well; you can see this because the soil in the pot is dry on the surface. We water more abundantly with 2 liters of water, keeping the ppm at 220 and pH at 6.2 PowerZyme-4ml Root Complex-4ml TNT Complex-6ml Day 28 3 liters of water with a pH of 6.3 and 240 ppm. - Fifth week Did a few trimming of some fan leaves at bottom PH around 5.5, still have to maintain with PH up daily Changed reservoir with a dosage of Base A- Base B- Vege- using 1.0 ML per Liter Went back to Silica as specified in feeding schedule by Kawsay Peroxide in order to help oxygen in water, the water is kinda dark tinted, roots have tinted as well, yet they don't seem slimy. Leaves and plants have shown small deficiency in nutrients, but overall they seem to look fine. I dont believe it's root rot but will have to raise Peroxide intake, hopefully I can diagnose the root within this week. Sexing seems to be female, its hard to tell if they're pistils or bud sites, but have not seen pollen sacs develop yet. Update: Final topping done (3 tops in total) prospecting 12 bud sites. Recover mode 3 days and onto last vegetative week. Will consider switching to flower depending on how she recovers.

Welcome to week 7 of veg life! The lady’s took around 4 days after there transplant to find there growth rate as they would have been filling there pots with roots. They have come on strong over the last 5 days really filling out and keeping there nodes really tight as they grow in height. They have been getting 2ltrs of water every 2 days. This is not giving run off but that will come when we get into flower. We have been feeding the lady nutes twice a week and keeping a eye on there tips as I think out nutes are rather weak. They have shown nothing but love for the larger amounts of nutes so far, see if it bites me on the butt I guess. We will run them another week in veg and switch them from there and see how we go. Until next week happy growing 🌲

11/22/2018 Just coming off a week long flush plain water only, the leaves are showing signs that they are using stored nutes today drained and filled up at 1/2 strength. Week 9, 1/4 strength, and week 10 distilled water, drains and refreshed every 24hours till done. Leaves faded away and trichomes ripe to my liking.😁

Bud quality is amazing, tons of frost and very sticky. Plants didn't get big colas unfortunately it was more smaller buds everywhere but still turned out good. Very tasty, could produce lots of hash also.
