Been flushing for the past 2 weeks. Accidentally missed a watering and the leaves did not appreciate it.

Week 5 of flower and stretch has been excessive in these F1 testers. Buds have been slow to develop and supercroppibg of 3 tops was necessary to maintain canopy consistency. The hollow stems are a good sign of things to come but I will say I was hoping for much better bud development. Perhaps unrealistic with this sativa dominant cross but still. I guess as long as the buds are fire, we’re prepared to deal with less overall yield. The system continues to perform admirably. It’s one major drawback is having to recirculate through an additional drainage pump. The cheap bilge pump we wired into the tray failed and flooded out a portion of the basement - my fault really as I knew the pump was crap and should’ve changed it earlier. Still can’t get past how much more simplistic a gravity dependent system is but despite that - I have no complaints about this equipment and it will get regular use regardless of any future set up changes. Alls good in da hood y’all👌🤟 Strain details She’s a mix of a particularly strong Northern Lights, crossed with a Spicy Bitch sativa hybrid. The hope is that we’ll be able to combine the overtly narcotic effects in the NL and mellow it out somewhat with the quality daytime sativa effects found in the SB. Both strains feature numerous grower qualities. Both parents possessed vigour and resiliency, the SB particularly colourful in late flower. These beans were the product of a shotgun breeding run that presented an unexpected opportunity so there’s quite a bit of testing that should flow from the various F1’s we’ve produced.

RH at 65-75% with Spider Farmer Huimidifier and Dehumidifier, shooting for VPD. (day 1) Let's quickly review the key new components I've planned to integrate or have already: Circulation Pump - Adding this to the 14L Mars Hydro reservoir will ensure even fresh, circulated-for-a-miniute-every-hour, batch of water (and later nutes) to the auto-drip system, maintaining optimal feeding for my plants when I am away, next week. Biobizz & BioTabs Supplements - These organic nutrient and microbial products will provide a comprehensive and balanced feeding regimen for my plants. Auto-Drain Potted Plant Stands - The wheeled, auto-draining stands will simplify watering and prevent any spills or overflows. Inkbird Humidity Controller - Pairing this with the Spider Farmer humidifier and dehumidifier will allow me to precisely maintain the ideal VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) levels. LST Clips, Trellis Net & Shelves - These will help me maximize my grow space and optimize the plant canopy for optimal light exposure. On day 15, I defoliated the girls. The girls are growing up like crazy, they have already doubled their height. Everything is going well, I'll probably have to do supercroping in the following days ...

1/14: All 3 are looking great! This morning, I did a foliar application of big bloom and fulvic acid, then about 5 hours later I watered them with about a half-gallon of rainwater each and added armor si, humic acid, endoboost myco/tricho, liquid molasses, and a bunch of cal-mag. Today, I also I wired up and mounted my new samsung sun board strips (660nm/730nm) and my Solacure FlowerPower UVB fixture. I'm running the deep red/far red bud boosters a few hours per day right now, but will run them for the entire photoperiod once I start flowering them. I'll run the UVB for 4 * 15-minute sessions a day for the full flowering cycle, and if they don't protest too much I'll increase each session by 5 minutes and evaluate again. Some strains are more forgiving than others and I've got 5 different strains in this space...so really not sure much time I'll get away with exposing them to the deadly rays without damaging them too much...😈 1/15: I received one of the rapid led/growmau far red initiator pucks today. With the placement of my UVB light, I'm realizing I'll need another far red puck to have even and intense far red coverage, so I'm ordering another with Prime delivery and waiting to start flowering until I receive it. I sprayed them down really well with ph adjusted rainwater tonight to rinse off nutrient build-up from foliar applications. 1/16: I'm really excited to try flowering under 14/10. I grew photos indoors on an off for 15 years before I semi-retired. If I added up all the additional flowering time I could have done through the years if LED technology existed, I'd have had an extra truckload of bud to smoke. I did another application of Axiom Harpin a|b Proteins this evening, right before dark. I'm expecting a big growth burst this week, leading up to the flower stretch. I really need them to trigger under 14/10 within 4 or 5 days🙏 ...if not, I'll switch to 13/11 and wait a few more days🙏😟..if still no pistils are poppin, I'll go to 12/12 and chalk it up as bad luck or varietal indifference to Pr and Pfr manipulation. 1/17: I fed each of them about 3/4 gallon of full strength veg nutes. This will be the last. When I began the contest I had only grown Magic Melon once before (last winter), it grew in an 18 litre pot, became around 4 feet tall, and completely filled a 3'x3' tent. A friend of mine successfully grew a seed I gave them this summer in a container about 4 litres and the plant was considerably smaller. The fact that it can be successfully grown in less than 250mL is astonishing, I have buds from the one grown last winter that are bigger than the can I grew this one in. Harvested 91 days from sprout.

Another week of growth in the books here. I am loving the flowers peyote forum is putting off. Starting to see some purple colours starting on these plant. Also noticing one of the plants starting to lose its colour which has me concerned as I saw some bugs on this plant a few weeks ago and sprayed for them, something to keep an eye on moving forward. I top dressed these plants with 1 tbsp/gallon of Power Bloom and hit them with a compost tea made up of worm castings, Bokashi Pro Gro, Molasses and Bat Guano. This will be the last feeding I give these plants.

Day 65 since seed touched soil. Big disaster in garden !!! I added epsom salt and didnt phed , was in a rush to overtime, they dranked in 3 days , that was unexpected .... Joe has only fresh roots damage, all brown and dead, canopy stayed ok i would say. Running out of space. Mars Hydro TSL2000 is doing great job, two plants are like 5 cm away , still no signs of burn. Try to keep humidity in 65-70 % range, temps around 22, nights 20. All works. Will top up this week with next watering, want to give one plain. Wrong Ph led to slow uptake, two plants are in limbo, behind couple days by weight, if troubles are bigger than i see now - maybe even 3-4. So sad .... One time wrong ph and you can damage garden heavily ... Close up bud photos were taken under max light, so colours are false. Day 66. Joe escaped best, colour is very nice, leaves praying, only good signs from that plant ... Still a week behind in development compared to others. Day 68. They drink fast, 3 days were needed only. Loaded 4 liters again. Made top up. See bleaching, raised lights , have 10 cm left. Jie is having very healthy distance, leaf colour now best. Top up was dosed, mixed well and laid on top, then i rough and mix top lair of soil with top up and only then i water.
