End of week 9 and the beginning of week 10 of veg. Got them outside... A bit late this year because of the weather. Cold nights. I put a heat sink in there this year to help keep the temp up at nights. 40 gallons of water is under the table. 8 - 5 gallon containers. I'll get them out of there when the weather gets warmer at night. The plants sure look happier in the last pictures that were taken this morning. The soil is 5 gallons of Sunshine Mix #4 (70% Moss) and 5 gallons of compost out of my composters, and mixed them. When I transplanted the plants I surrounded the root balls in the Sunshine mix that has neutral ph, so the roots will grow into the compost and not get burnt by the hot soil right next to the root ball. I added another 3 gallons of Sunshine mix to do that, and to top dress and fill the pots. All the plants have about the same amount of soil in their new pots. Just rain water for now. There is lots of food for them when the roots get to the compost mix. OK. Be Cool. Chuck.

Hello Growmies, As we conclude the sixth week with our Epic Buzz plants in the Tent-X Ultimate Grow Showdown, we've seen substantial growth and faced some climatic challenges head-on. The plants have thrived under a regimen of defoliation, lollipopping, and scrogging, developing into robust specimens ready for the flowering stage. The extended watering intervals and the consistent application of our chosen nutrient blend, Alga Grow, Sugar Royal, Power Roots, and Orca, have supported their vigorous development, ensuring they are well-nourished and hydrated. However, managing the environmental conditions, particularly during the night, has presented some hurdles. The recent introduction of a custom-built extraction box has been our latest strategy to combat the high humidity levels we've been battling during the lights-off period. This innovative solution has shown promising results, offering a more controlled grow atmosphere by extracting humid air directly outside, preventing it from lingering in the lung area of our setup. Despite this improvement, the integration of the Mars Hydro fan with the Tent-X system remains unresolved, leading to less than ideal fluctuations in our VPD levels. The lack of support from Mars Hydro, Secret Jardin, and even TrolMaster in providing clear guidance for this integration has been a stumbling block. We're considering a shift back to the reliable Prima Clima system, known for its seamless compatibility and ease of use. In the spirit of community and shared growth, we're reaching out for any advice on connecting a 5-phased PWM motor to the TrolMaster controller. The collective wisdom of this community has always been a guiding light, and any insights would be greatly appreciated. End of Week 7 CO2 is definitely increasing growth rates but also changes the game with controlling your environment now that it has to be sealed in order to not waste CO2 unnecessarily. You change one thing and it adds many other variables to keep everything in check. I am learning everyday and that's why I grow. The trellis net is doing its job and the canopy is looking nice and even. I also added a soil top-up and top dress of some BioBloom and Mycorhizae so it can start breaking down before I flip to flower next week (Slow release dry organic amendments). And the ladies are using up nutrients in the soil much faster because of the added CO2 (another variable to take into consideration - faster growth = faster nutrient consumption) In detail: -Carefully removed trellis netting -Ammended each plant individually with my soil mixture and nutrients -Placed them back in the tent -Reinstalled trellis netting and trained the ladies to shape Pest Report: Thrips VS Ladybugs... I decided to fight fire with fire - I purchased Swirski-Mites from Koppert (They are beneficial insects that feed on the eggs and larvae of thrips and other unwanted pests). As for the adult thrips - I got very lucky and found about 10 Ladybugs in my garden and decided to introduce them into my grow room as they will feed on adult thrips and any other unwanted pests. I did not spray any insecticide this week and it really seems like the ladies are happy with my new method of bio-warfare and are wilting less and less often

Dear diary, Week 10 total and week 1 of flower is behind us. Will just be making sure all tops are exposed and somewhat in the right place as I let them stretch for about 21 days before some defoliation. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 ⏰ Day 67: Feeding was given in the evening with a solution of 1.87ms and pH of 5.6. During this feeding, I guided most of the tops into their designated positions within the net, ensuring they are adequately spread out to receive optimal light. I also checked the runoff, which measured 2.3ms, but considering the extra dissolved salts from full draining and collection that would be higher that it really is, I will aim to bring it back to the desired range of 1.65-1.7ms to be sure. ⏰ Day 68: In the evening, the plants were fed with a solution of 1.64ms at a pH of 5.8. ⏰ Day 69: Evening feeding consisted of a solution with 1.66ms strength and a pH of 5.9. I also took the opportunity to confirm that the lights were positioned at a 48cm distance from the canopy. Additionally, I'm testing the exhaust system by venting it outside the room. Currently, the relative humidity (RH) ranges from 53-55% during lights-off and 58-60% during lights-on, while the temperatures remain around 18°C with lights off and 23.5°C with lights on. These conditions fall within the desired vPD (vapor pressure deficit) range of 0.95-1.2. ⏰ Day 70: Feeding was carried out in the evening using a solution with a strength of 1.66ms and a pH of 5.9. To enhance air circulation, I added a fan at the top of the tent. Furthermore, I checked the light intensity, which measured around 760-780ppfd. ⏰ Day 71: During the evening feeding, the plants received a solution with a strength of 1.64ms and a pH of 6.4. The RH levels range from 55-65% as the girls get more bushy, while temperatures vary between 23-18°C, depending on whether the lights are on or off. ⏰ Day 72: Evening feeding included a solution with 1.64ms strength and a pH of 6.4. ⏰ Day 73: The plants were fed with a solution having a strength of 1.66ms and a pH of 6.0. As indicated by the feeding schedule, the A+B mix was increased to 3.5ml/l. I also ensured that the lights were positioned approximately 50cm above the canopy and set to 90% intensity to provide additional heat.

week intel: its time to harvest some of plants the ones that is mature enough. indica dominant plants will done first always so we should harvest them first because my base nutrients and one of boosters was salt based, i'll do flushing this week to get some relieve to plants in the last days stresses : flushing Drought stress via watering only one time with flushing this week feeding: day 1 : i flushed them with Advanced Nutrients Flawless finish and adjusted ph day 3 : no more feeding from now on day 5 : no more feeding from now on guide of the week : i harvest in 2 parts : first i harvest top of the branches and will let the lower buds to ripe another week then ill harvest the second wave. indica dominant plants will get done 1 or 2 weeks sooner than sativa dominant plants that will often takes more than 8 weeks so be aware to harvest them sooner. my dry and cure style is this: 3 days of hanging upside down to get water activity lower to around 0.6 in 50% humidity and 26 C temp (i know its a little high but we are in a hot summer right now and i cant get it lower even with air conditioner) and then after 3 days of drying i remove leaves and stalks, trim buds and move them to jar for the rest of their life :D . and in the first 4 days of curing i open the jar door and let hem get some fresh air in the jar for about 5 minutes and close the jar door again, after 4 days of curing like that buds are smokable but they will get better as they getting cured about 1 month. im happy as hell with this harvest :D.

La verdad que el secado muy bien 7 días en Malla y a los botes, 45% humedad y 23 grados es la temperatura ambiental que han tenido en el secado. 4 plantas que se cultivaron en un armario de 1.20 pero estos ejemplares solo ocuparon 80x80. Así que ya está cultivada esta gran variedad que es novedad este 2020, americana de la familia Cookies, la Tropicanna Cookies (Girl Scout Cookies x Tangie) con un porcentaje de thc entre los 17/25%, una bomba. Que decir de Agrobeta, lo peta 💪 en cuanto a nutrientes. Un saludo y buenos humos.

Day 63 - Flowers just starting. They're looking nice. Through the week I've chopped quite a few leaves off her to allow light penetration.

Hope to get some feedback about nutrition : After 1 plant developed a small brown tip, I started feeding. A total of 116.6 liters of water goes into my system. The feeding schedule says that you should give 4 ml of root juice per liter of water. So: 116.6 x 4 = 466 in total for week 1. So, 466/7 = 66.5 ml per day. Despite this, the differences in root growth per container seem very different. 1 bin was so far behind that I changed them. However, after 1 day a brown mass developed in the roots. The others are still nice and white. Is this already the bereft root rot? I've made some pictures and a video. The first plant in the video was first in the container of the third plant in the video. EC value = 0.6 PH = 6.6 Update 3-5 : After adding more air, problem solved. Need to keep an eye on plant #3. I've put sticks on top of the startblock. 1 stick is plant #1 etc. Plant 3 is behind the rest. Root development also differs from the rest. Instead of a long (about 50 cm) long carrot, they are a few short (10/15 cm). The plant is also significantly smaller than the rest. Can't do much now so, let's hope and see she can catch up.
