Very start of week 9. Stacking up nice, frost everywhere.

Due to movig home some stress was caused, and it’s expected she will stay in veg for a bit longer. I am surprised how little feed is enough for an autoflower. I’m checking the ph and ppm in the tray daily and adjusting the feed accordingly.

Ok, so what does CRI have to do with grow lighting? To consider this we need to first review what color rendering index or CRI is. Put simply it’s a performance metric or outcome that considers the ability of a light source to mimic sunlight, 100 cri is sunlight at midday, so approximately 5000 kelvins on a clear sunny day. So, if we know that perfect light that is 100cri is perfect for replicating true color for say photographic applications where subjects perfectly lit will reveal perfect color, then why as a metric is it important for use in grow lights? The fundamentals of light that mimics sunlight are referred to in the grow light community as wide or broad-spectrum light. That is to say, all the wavelengths of sunlight at 100 CRI would be perfectly represented and would therefore provide a light that is sunlight, artificially produced. Ok so is CRI the nirvana of plant performance? Not quite. Let’s consider missing ingredients. OK so measurement devices used for CRI are typically based around what is referred to as PAR. PAR stands for Photosynthetically Active Radiation. and it refers to the portion of the light spectrum (wavelengths) that plants use for photosynthesis. Specifically, it covers wavelengths between 400 and 700 nanometers (nm), which is the range most beneficial for plant growth. While PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) focuses on the 400–700 nanometer (nm) range of the light spectrum, it does however not cover all wavelengths that might influence plant growth. Here’s what PAR leaves out when considering a full-spectrum light source for grow lighting: UV-A (315–400 nm), UV-B (280–315 nm), and UV-C (280 nm). Benefits to Plants: UV-A and UV-B can stimulate secondary metabolite production (e.g., flavonoids, anthocyanins, and terpenes), enhancing plant color, flavor, and pest resistance. The use of newer phosphors like KSF negates the differences of efficacy in higher CRI LED’s. It’s clear that ignoring CRI as part of your lighting recipe reduces your spectrum breadth irrespective of wavelengths outside the par range, meaning use of all wavelengths in a complete lighting system that includes broad spectrum white can’t help but improve your total plant performance.

Girls are hungry,.the sog lookings promising. 8 plants to be transplanted. Plants did not even fell any stress from the transplanting. Plants are taking 800 ppfd and look happy. So lovely process veg is a beatifull part of the cycle. Girls decided to stretch under higher temps and lower ,eh, 22c morning 70rh Afternoon 25-35c,. Rh 68 - 64 Night 19c rh69 6 plants showing signs of aberrations, leaves and stems were.fimmed hoping for new stems. Happy days! Grow is going High! (Have been thinking about it, decided to just do both runts under one diary and just using the Green Sensation on them both. Had only used growdots on the other one, but will be bringing the other runtz into this diary aswell) Beginning to add the Green Sensation nutrients this week. Really curious to see how she looks in the next 2 weeks now that its being added!. But these Runtz are growing well, looks great to me so far nothing crazy , bit different pheno then my other grow but I'm happy with both .. Can't wait to see how they flower fully. Not much else was done, I do regret not training but wanted to let it do its thing , didn't have the space for anything big (I never go for massive, one of these days I'll veg longer tho just for the experience of it) Had cut off a handful of leaves that were laying on each other. Did alil form of lollipoping but not extreme. And only plan besides Green Bay is the Recharge will also be used 1x weekly. Lights are currently around 32 DLI roughly 700/750ppfd off the top of my head. I'm thinking around 40 I may push to peak but we will see, no added CO2 besides environmental atleast its above 500 pretty steady raises to 8/900 amd alil higher when I'm in talkin shit to them. The water input is picking up in frequency aswell. Watering every other day still due to how cold it is they are drinking slow but their just about 3/4s of a gallon currently.. Temps have been way lower this run then I really wanted just last heater I had decides to quit on me.. big area so tough to replace that thing and of course it was just out of warranty lol by 2 months. The one is getting some purples on it this one's pretty light green , ec is in range after a quick lil media test, had been curious if she was hungry so decide to check did alil runoff when watered prior to feeding the plagron. Ec was fine and PH was alil low so bringing that up as I feed. Besides that tho , their smelling really sweet.. literally like a pack of runtz already ...anxious to get to smoke some of my first try at a runtz plant!
