These girls are so freaking easy to grow. Very resilient. They already have a pungent skunky smell and they're color is perfect.

One was more bushy and was a little behind. As I said, they had some heat stress and I think the 15-liter pots are too small when the environment is hotter. Still, they are totally worth growing and joy to smoke. They don't need much curing and the weed is very very strong. Going to try this strain again very soon!!

What a journey it has been from seed! I made a lot of mistakes in the first few weeks of this growing journey. I feel like I had a mini-crash after finishing the first year of grad school, and although I am growing cannabis as part of my research project, I haven't been the greatest at paying attention to it. This is not an excuse. It has actually been a learning opportunity. I realized that my body needs proper schedules to function and grow, just like a plant. The problems with the plant have really been my own problems. Let's just say that a plant may be the reflection of the grower. First, the light cycles were wrong and inconsistent. I thought that I could manually control the light schedule for the plants and be alright. However, I was wrong. My sleep schedule has been very inconsistent for the past few months. Mainly because we are living through a pandemic, and secondly because I am a graduate student 😂. How naive was it of me to think that a plant could follow my own rhythms? I guess it highlights my 'plant blindness.' Second, the light intensity was low and PH levels high. In the last five days, I have learned that plants are living organisms (I knew this, but my plant blindness is quick to dismiss it, I need to stop fighting these "plant voices" (signals)) that require a proper environment to grow, similar to humans. Of course, a plant is not human, but it is alive and living. It needs water, a regular schedule (light (active) /darkness (rest), oxygen, nutrients, and an overall good environment to grow. Concern about the size of my plant at five weeks, I decided to conduct a few experiments at home. Here are my notes: Friday, July 23, 2021, I took the plant out of the tent at 6:00 AM and placed it in front of my backyard window that faces the Eastside, perfect for sunrise. On that day, I had a few errands to run, and when I arrived home, it was 2:30 PM. The sun was now hitting the West side of my house, and I had to move the plant in front of my bedroom window. At around 7:00 PM, I went to look at the plant and noticed that its leaves were looking plumpy. So, I decided to take a timelapse to see what I would be able to record. During "magic hour" (sunset), I recorded and witnessed the plant moving with the rhythms of the sun. Plant, like humans, function at their best when they are synchronized with their circadian rhythm. The pandemic has definitely disoriented us to the point that it has disrupted all of our schedules. To this day, I feel tired from everything we have all been through; how could I possibly think that a plant would thrive with such a messed-up schedule? The time lapse made me realize that the plant needs some structure to thrive, and so do I. So, as much as I like to think that I can be disciplined and follow a plant's schedule, I cannot. So, I went to the store and bought the Globe Suite smart plug to automate and schedule the light cycle to 12hrs of light and 6 hours of darkness. Saturday, July 24, 2021, the plant woke up to the set schedule of the lights. I checked on the plant first thing in the morning, around 9:30 AM. The leaves look much greener and thicker than they did the day before. Sunday, July 25, 2021. I was away overnight and did not arrive home until 2 PM. The plant looks twice the size it was on Friday! Today, I will water the plant. I got a PH test kit and realized that the way that I measured the PH level, the first few weeks was wrong 🤦‍♀️🏽. I measured the PH correctly, to 5.9, and added some Reefertilizer grow nutrients to the water. I watered from the top, distributing the water evenly around the stem. My partner pointed to me that the lights seemed dim for the stage of the plant's life. So I had my lights set at 100 watts running at 20 % 😅. I realized that I had not increased the light intensity since the first few weeks of vegetation 🤦‍♀️🏽. So I increased the intensity to 100 watts running at 60%. Monday, July 26, 2021. First check-in 7:00 AM: The plant looks like it loves all of the new changes that I have made! It is finally growing 🤗 The sun is out, but it is not as intense as it should be because tiny particles of smoke are present in our air due to the wildfires, and they create a filter that makes the human eye see the sun blood red. It is quite apocalyptic. Regardless, I decided to take the plant out from the tent and record a time-lapse. It is fascinating how much movement plants have despite showing no noticeable signs of movement (to the human eye). Tuesday, July 27, 2021. It has been five days since I have made big changes to the plant's schedule and environment. The plant is finally showing good signs of growth, and its leaves colours have changed to a deep green. I am not watering the plant today, but I am spritzing it with water. I decided to take another time-lapse of the plant, but this time inside the tent. As I was setting up the tripod for my camera, I accidentally increased the humidifier 🤦‍♀️🏽. Luckily, I noticed within a reasonable timeframe and reduced the humidity and made the environment better. I increased the light intensity to 100 watts at 100%. The plant will stay in the tent all day today because it is raining ☔️.

Day 85. All is good, watering with molasses or pure PHed water. My ppm from tap is 150 , ph 7.4-7.6 , really good water. Girls are runing nice, checked trich, still clear and cloudy, but on Fattest Tangie i spotted today first few ambers , max a week left for her. All other still far from. See some purpling starting on top colas of couple plants, end is soon ! Strawbery recovers well, think to give her like 5 days more max and switch to 12/12 on 7 of January latest.. Checked how high are them, still dont get how half of 2 unces + are achieved on this site .... They will be good, but just so little ... Honestly think that only late fast diesel, early tangie will reach 50g plank. Sad result for so much love, i smoke more in four month than that garden will bring in that time ... Day 86. Time is changed to 12/12. Late FastDiesel and StrawberyCough got heavy feeding, all other girls on pure Phed water diet ;) Smell is so fruity and sweet , cant wait till its over ... Added extra 2liters of soil for late FastDiesel, pot had too much space and i want to water her every 3 days, not every 2 like now. Day 90. Cant hold Strawbery cough surounded by other girls if i want her to be massive ;) And i really really want it ;))) So today Fatty Tangie had last 12 hours sleep and now she is choped. Tomorrow Early bigest FastDiesel falls, other girls still have a week or two. In anycase January 23 is last day for all of them except late FD and SC. Fatty had some amber, but like 5% max, she could go for a week aswell, but i need space and best light for Strawbery girl. I still think that 90 days for auto is too much ... Buds are very dence, i mean VERY, sticky but cant tell anything decent about smell, have cold again and nose doesnt work. She smells, but cant separate smells, feel fruityness 4sure. Guess after cure is more important then now anyway ;) Day 91. Strawberry started flowering quick, thats good and today is last day for Early big FastDiesel. No i have space for all of them to bloom till my holidays ! No more molasses, just pure phed water, my ppm is about 150.

Week 10. Not much to say again. She grows more. Training is getting harder for me as branches are more mature and harder to bend without feeling like they may snap. I've come too far to risk breaking her now. I will do slight adjustments each day over the week to get the shape I want and fingers crossed she will take it. Feeding is still just some N and once a week some P and K along with her soil improvers. I've managed to do all my autos with out the need for Cal mag but this lady is asking for some. So will introduce some Cal mag this week. The 4 tops I took off her previous topping are all rooted and potted. So I have 4 clones of triple cheese to try and schedule into what is already an over crowded space.. ah well. Fun fun fun. Day 66 After she had her tops taken I thought she would need to rest but she pushed another 4cm of growth on about 5 of the 16 colas. The canopy height difference between highest and lowest cola was around 15 cm. I decided to put her through some more torture and now the canopy is flat(er) around 5cm difference now which I can live with as I feel I can level bits out as new growth pushes. I will try and take her shape out wider rather then higher for now but again I will see want she wants to do and hopefully we can come to an agreement 😊. Hello Growmies, The final chapter of this incredible journey has unfolded, and it's time to share the bountiful harvest and reflections on the entire cultivation process. Trimming the plant was a joy, and with gentle fingers, I removed all the large fan leaves. The precision in this process revealed the true beauty of the buds, setting the stage for a smooth harvest. With care and gratitude, the plant was chopped, and the buds were hung to dry. The anticipation for what lies ahead only adds to the sense of accomplishment. The wet weight, excluding fan leaves, stands at an impressive 782 grams. The buds are massive, a testament to the efficacy of the nutrients used, particularly the Power Buds. The name seems apt, as the result is a collection of sticky, dense buds with subtle lemon notes and sweet pungent undertones. In the final moments, the plant unveiled some delightful purple hues. While I wish I could have allowed them to intensify further, it's a reminder that each grow is a learning experience. In hindsight, a slightly longer fading period would have accentuated those beautiful colors. We live and learn, and that's the essence of this journey. Less is more. Lesson learned. Without training these plants, having the fifth plant has really cramped the tent. Because I have limited space for the tent, access into the sides isn't possible. I have only the front entrance. Next time I think I will stick yo maybe three strains that have been positive and try and find the time to train more. The WOS-Northern/Skunk has grown out so nicely into a Xmas tree type of posture. She is making her really good friends with her neighbours, perhaps to their detriment. Seedsman Blueberry continues to be solid and unphased by anything. This is the first time I have smelled a plant that has such a fruity aroma. It really took me aback in surprise. Very cool. HiFi 4G needs support. Did a McGyver solution for the time being. Doesn't appear to have bulked up much this week. Jack is about the same. A bit of bulk up but not expecting this one to be a big yielder. Appears healthy overall so I'm happy. CBD+ bulked up for sure on the main cola's. I'm skeptical she will be done at 60 days at this point....but have to trust what Dinafem are telling me. Be safe folks.

Weather warmed back up and I noticed she’s growing a lot faster!

The candy cush bounced back with resilience this week after the transplant. She is about to go into stretch and seems to be doing well this week.

After i ended mast week with hurting her, I decided to give her some extra support on the 2main colas. I did this by putting 2 more wooden sticks next to the colas. It wasn't a pleasant thing to do because i could feel the stick penetrating te roots. hopefully i did'nt hurt them to bad. after that I tied them up to the stick instead of keep pulling them down like like i intended to do. I noticed that the weather is changing and the forecast predicted stormy nights. putting her inside is no option, so i'll guess giving her extra support with sticks was the best thing to do. i will also place her under a shed at night, if it doesnt get blown away by the storm
