Ended up being a pretty successful grow , had a few challenges with summer temps but after switching from HID lights to LED lights mid flower ( which was stressful at the time ) the girls didn’t miss a beat . They aren’t dry completely yet after hanging for 10 days maybe another 3 or 4 days and I’ll know dry weight etc … that total decreases every day tho , can’t help but throwing a handful of bud on the dehumidifier every morning.

Tip#5: keep your reservoir cool in the heat! Invest in a water chiller and be done with it. I’ve been using frozen water bottles and wreaking havoc on my roots. I was also slow to put styrofoam blanket around my reservoir and wrap with aluminum foil. I should have had that all in place not being reactive to the heat. I've had her Outdoor all week approx 9 hours sun and 3 hours cloud/shade day. This week temperatures are soaring into the high 20s low 30s. To keep roots happy, I use ice bottles in my reservoir when hot. I try not to let the leaves go into full stress mode i'll just have them hovering near that point. I'm on the north facing slope so the shade arrives just when the plant is starting to stress out. Running grow tent lights 530am-530pm is most ideal you can get in my spot. I cover my reservoir so the sun doesn't penetrate my basket and heat can dissipate. Night temps are down to 12 outside but in tent it is stable above 17c. I planned for budding in this weather window because of the temperature drops is said to help with terp development. The second picture shows how important calmag is to healthy growth. Experience with RO water has taught me a lot about plant calmag intakes. Too much you'll burn tips and chance lockout, not enough can cause widespread cell death and slow growth. I halfing her calmag dose now she's in 4th week of flower. I'm also removing big bud from my nutrient line after this week's reservoir change. Midway through the week wildfires are raging creating ideal conditions I don't have the resources to mimic. high CO2 ppms and high red spectrum light. High UV light which is damaging is being refracted into more absorb-able light. Temperatures also didn't peak above 32c today with the smoke cover and haze breezy winds: it peaked at a balmy almost perfect 27c. My prayers go out to those affected by the wildfires. LST training today opened up more bud sites to the light. Now she no longer fits in the 2x4 darkroom tent so I had to modify a lil. Stretch phase done It’s nearing end of week and she's drinking two 1.75 litre pitchers of solution. I refreshed my reservoir and will top up with a more concentrated solution as I think she's getting more piggy. I added h2o2 to reservoir at the wend of the week.

7/11 - Top dressed all with Foundation Grow, Foundation Uprising, Oregonism XL, and Nitro Bat Guano. Watered w/ RO water & Extreme Serene. They are looking great. 7/12 - Fed with liquid nutrients today followed by some selective defoliation. Also adjusted the LST and added a little coco mulch. 7/14 - Watered with plain RO water and added Mosquito bits for pest prevention. Also did a foliar spray of Ancient Amber. They look very happy and healthy.

Deepforest Super auto is growing great. She has been thriving and making a lot of progress. I delayed her solution change she has been doing so well. I will likely have to in about a week. I did her first lst and selective defoliation on her today. She is looking good. I did turn tge light down from 40 percent to about 30. She seemed to be growing stocky. I want her to reach a little more. I know there is still lots of growth to come. Everything is going great. From the get go the smell these ladies gives off is very nice and sweet , the plant had grown very well from a while until I had made some mistakes but she always tried to fight threw it . This girl will begin her flush now and that will take about two weeks .. here's to hoping for healthy strong plants at harvest ..

I shot a little video of the soil remediation amendments I'm using these days. This will be the first time I use the Coast of Maine Lobster Compost. I usually use a different brand with added biochar and mycorrhizae, but I wanted to see what all the fuss is about the efficacy of lobster compost. After the trichomes have been checked (70% milky 30% amber) as always, it was left in complete darkness for 48 hours before it was neatly trimmed by hand. After trimming, she was put back in the drying tent on nets. There they are allowed to dry for the next 8-12 days at 62% humidity before they are put into the jar to ferment with 62% boveda packs. After about 4-6 weeks in the jar I will swap the 62% boveda pack for a 58% boveda pack where it can be ready for another 4-6 weeks to enjoy :-). As always, the remains of the leaves are used to make Ice o Lator and oil. Of course, as always, there is a final update during the fermentation process. Days of flowering 42 Since the water was only poured on day 41, both were only checked for their health today. Flowering day 43 Today both were poured with 1 l each, completely without additives as they should use up their remaining nutrients :-). Flowering day 44 The tent was cleaned and the humidifier refilled. Flowering day 45 Today both were checked for health and sprayed. Flowering day 46 Today everything in the tent was tested for functionality (fans, etc.). The humidifier has been refilled. Flowering day 47 Again today it was poured with 1.2 l each time, and the tent was cleaned. Flowering day 48 Both plants were checked to see how wide their trichomes were (70% milky, 20% clear and 10% amber). The plants are really extremely fast 👍.
