Cannabis has been used as medicine for thousands of years, and cancer – along with glaucoma and HIV/AIDS – is one of the main reasons people turn to it. Patients often use weed to help with nausea, appetite loss, and weight issues caused by chemotherapy. Cannabis can also improve mood and ease depression or anxiety for cancer patients. Some early studies suggest that cannabinoids might even slow tumor growth, and more and more people are looking for strains for killing cancer. Of course, weed is not yet a stand-alone cancer treatment, but the fact remains that certain strains work better for cancer patients, and we’ve highlighted those based on user feedback.
