Week 15: June 27 2021 - July 3 2021
Hot, rainy and humid this week. Now that it's July and the plants are a few months old, I have switched over to stronger nutrients to give the plants a boost in P and K. Figure this will help as the days get shorter and the plants continue to transition into flower.
Noticing a few yellowing leaves so it looks like that plants need a bit more food. I will slowly increase the nutrient dosage weekly and keep monitoring the plants. Trimmed and cleaned up the plants again over the weekend. I should have better pictures for next week's update.
Blue Dream isn't growing or stretching as much anymore, looks like she won't be 5 feet tall like last year. It looks as if she has gone fully into flower, but there hasn't been a lot of bud development, either. She seems like she's in limbo right now.
Plant looks healthy and has no other visual issues or problems, she has just really slowed down. I would update the diary to Flowering but I would like to see a bit more growth and development before I fully call it.
Still think it's weird she flipped this early. I'm wondering now if that freak weather where we got frost for a day in late May/June stunted her.
Keeping my fingers crossed for a decent return come harvest. We'll see what happens.
Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!
@WWonder, Thanks so much! The lights I'm using aren't anything fancy. The brand name is Niello and they are 45 watts with 225 LEDs and 6-band full spectrum. I run 2 of them in my setup and bought them off Amazon for about 40 bucks each. They're great for sprouting plants and growing during veg, but I have never done a full indoor grow with them. I don't know if they would be strong enough for flower. I've had great results using them for the past 2-3 years though. Let me know if you have any other questions. Cheers.
Nice plants!
Before you put them outside they had 18hours of light, now only 15.. maybe thatโs the reason why they are showing signs of early flower.
Good luck!
@CoastGrower, I was thinking the same thing, but this is the only plant out of 4 that's doing this. I also grew this exact strain last year under pretty much identical conditions and she didn't start flowering until mid-August. Maybe she will re-veg, but if not it is what it is. Truth be told, I'd rather harvest in September than rolling the dice with October weather. Thanks for the input and comment. Cheers!
Looking good and progressing very nicely !! Good luck with the grow !
