Punktures So absolute sadness - I came home after being away for a week and see FCJ looking quite sick - checked my pH and I'd made such a stupid mistake - it was around 8! I made the decision to repot them into healthier soil so on March 1st I transferred them over. Their roots looked surprisingly strong so I was hopeful they'd survive the move well. 2 days later and in soil at pH 6 they're looking a lot happier! :)
I'm just gonna write this week off to experience - sad that I've missed a week of growing but it's only a week and I've learned a lot!

Punktures March 3 - 2 days after being in much better soil and they are looking happy. The bottom 2 leaves are dying on both plants but I'm happy with the new growth and they both seem to have recovered really well. FCJ is only 4.5cm but Amnesia is 6.5cm - they've both shot up. Hoping they'll look much better after a week!
March 5 - I made the executive decision to cut off the leaves that had yellowed (bottom two on each plant). I cut a little over half off. Added a low strength organic seaweed in their water - so far so good :)
March 6 - Got some fantastic advice from a Hydroponics shop owner and made some decisions. I've changed them both over to a mix of coco/peat/perlite and am feeding as directed with the new Professor's Nutrients Original Formula Part A and Part B. I've also changed the light schedule from 24 to 18/6

Punktures 9 March - so they've almost doubled in size in a week. Amnesia is 11cm and FCJ is 8. Topped Amnesia this morning and she isn't looking particularly stressed at this stage. I feel like she might get really lofty if I don't try and slow her down. Read a little about the benefits of stem and leaf rub yesterday - hoping the science works :)
10 March - did a little NTT before they went to bed and they've woken up happy. Lots of new growth on FCJ after a feed of half strength nutrients

Punktures 15 March - So much growth in a week - Amnesia has really picked up the pace and is growing between 1-2cm a day. Its really hard to estimate their height because I've tied down the stems.
18 March - lots of new growth on Amnesia she's 25cm wide now so she's doubled in size in a week. I dropped FCJ today due to a little hand strength problem I have and she landed on the ground and fell out of the pot - I lost a few roots although the basic root ball is intact - it's prob gonna take a while for her to recover since I topped her yesterday :(
21 March - FCJ has lots of new growth after I topped/FIM'd her - looks like she has 4 shoots at the top now but I'll have to wait and see for sure. Amnesia starting to take off so I FIM'd her this morning - I plan to put her in her final pot in the next few days.

Punktures 22 March - did some LST with Amnesia to try and get the top more even. FCJ is looking pretty happy and it looks like she'll have 4 shoots at the top after her FIM. I couldn't be happier with how that went :) Hopefully they'll start drinking more soon as they're only getting food every two days.
24 March - Both plants are looking pretty healthy :) Amnesia is nearly 40cm wide now which is a huge jump on last week.
28 March - moved both plants into 9 litre pots.

Punktures March 29 - both are happy and well adjusted into their new pots. Both had an excellent root system and I had their pots ready so the transition went well - overall pretty happy and hoping to set them to flower once they've hit about 30cm.
March 30 - finally paid off my new light, I was originally going to get a 400W HPS but I was able to get a 600W for less so I decided on that, hoping the tent doesn't get too hot. It was so worth it - they've grown about 4cm in a day :) They're both about 20cm tall, FCJ is about 40cm across and Amnesia is about 50. Once they're about 40cm tall I'm planning to switch them over to 12/12.
April 3 - They've both just gone nuts since being under the new light so I've decided in my impatience to switch them soon - they already have pre-flowers and the stalks have fattened up heaps this week.

Punktures 5 April - even tho they're not super tall I've decided to set them to flower - they have heaps of bud sites and look like they're ready to take off. Fingers crossed it goes well.
Looks good , what size light do you have ? The plants will stretch if they are too far away , so finding an optimum point is useful , first ever grow you say - good luck you have a couple of nice strains 👍
