Herbie Now here is a girl who knows how to handle herself in Herbie's house of horrors,
Red has been through Two grueling grows. First she not only survived the one cup challenge, but she blossomed into beautiful big long stick.
Then in round two, the usual Herbie forgetful lack of watering followed by this girl having to endure some tough, dry, sessions, hot boxed in a wardrobe, crushed up next to Bruce banner #3.
That second harvest, put this: girl on the map.!
She is so tough, I wouldn't be surprised if she took herself outside and guerrilla grew herself in the middle of a roundabout.
Until next week, it's good day for me 😉

Herbie Big Red is doing her thing as usual. She's under optimal conditions and will be producing sweet buds in no time.
Red never quits, Red always wins.

Herbie Another good week for Big Red. Which unfortunately means not much to say.
This girl has been a solid grow for me in the past and they expect nothing less from her this time around.

Herbie Red is looking very long for some reason? it can't be lack of light because she's under the same light as all the other girls.
Will just have to wait and see

Herbie For some reason this girl is a lanky skinny thing....... strange as she is under the exact same conditions as the last time I grew her, literally in the same spot in the grow wardrobe.
My only idea behind this is the time of year, this as we all know it's easier to warm plants up, then, is to cool them down.

Herbie I still have no idea why this girl is so skinny, but she is budding away nicely so I'm not going to complain.
she's under the usual high-tech conditions of shop bought LED bulbs in a converted wardrobe

Herbie Red has been a very quiet grow this time around and again showing more signs of purple and red.
acquire effort for this girl, this grow when a previous she is being glorious
Herbie I will soon be calling time on the little red monster.
As I mentioned before, she's a little sharp compared to last grows, but I think this is due to the heat. We have had for the last few weeks were I live
Herbie I guess we don't always see a blessing in disguise and perhaps this girl is no different.
she is small and underweight for sure. She is not the only one of late that has struggled to produce a respectable return or perhaps expectable return would be a better word.
so now I am left with the investigation as to why??
Initially put this down to the heat we have had where I live as its not a common temperature for my climate and has had an effect on the temperature within the tents.
But having looked back at this time last year, are in fact since I started growing. This hasn't been an issue before and we have had similar heat if only for a short time as I remember the same issues of trying to cool the tents. Which actually took effect by me doing nothing and just riding it out, so I have eliminated that as a reason.
This leaves me with a change of nutrients from bio bizz to Gen hydroponics, which doesn't make much sense considering. I wouldn't have thought there would be such a gap between brands of similar content. So this idea is on the shelf for now.
Whilst I think back and think I have stopped doing, which I did for most of the plants, was was using vegetable, potato, water from cooking.
I stopped after there was an incident involving broccoli water. I cannot stress enough that although this vegetable water may be high in natural nutrients, it will smell like an abomination from hell for about four days.
With my last idea in mind I will be revisiting the idea of using water from cooking vegetables and simply excluding broccoli.
