I'm soo excited for this strain. It's new from RQS and I think the data sheet on this thing is amazing: 20% THC, medium CBD, she should be ready for harvest in just 9 weeks from sprouting and has a fruity watermelon taste. I don't have a clue what it's like to grow it though because I can't find anything about that. So if you're like me and you like looking at diaries before buying a strain, I hope you'll enjoy this grow as much as I will.
So, let's get to it. The first week has been good. This little one was planten four days ago and sprouted the very next day after I put her in wet soil with a bottle over it. She has shown a good growth spurt in the first days and is already showing leaves. I have good hopes for her.
I'm planning on transplanting this one into a 7L pot right before she starts her flower stage so she has enough room for root development. Also I'm pretty sure I'll LST her, and I think that will be the only training I do on her.
She's doing well guys. I didn't really run into any trouble this week, everything seems to go as it should. Her leaves have grown nice and big and overall she seems really healthy and happy. I don't think there is much to tell you guys other than that bth.
It's been a good week for my watermelon, she outgrew her pot so I'll transplant her after updating the diary. I don't really have anything else to say about her, she's just doing great.
Beautiful thick indica leaves, OMG I'm in love with this strain already! I just love the way this plant looks and guys, look at the girth of that stem. I think when I'll harvest this one I'll need to saw it down like a tree.
This lady has had a really rough week. Four days ago I was tying her down a little more and I wasn't gentle enough so I snapper the top of. It was only hanging by some skin :(
This happend to me before with my first gorilla automatic and it stressed the plant out so much it just started developing buds straight away. For this one I thought 'what do I have to lose' and I stapled the top back on with regular staples like you see in the picture. After I took the pictures I took the staple out and honestly, I can shake the plant and the tops stays on like nothing happend. Also it doesn't look like she really cares, the top looks fine to me and I don't see her do anything weird. I hope the stream can still reach the top like it should.
It's been a good week, I was on vacation so I was able to give the plants more light. And I'm really happy with what the plants did, this watermelon grew insanely especially it got wider.
Wohooooo flower stage, we just started the most beautiful part of her lifecycle. I don'r really have a lot of comments on her, she's doing really good.
One thing I can say is that I'll be putting small blocks under the pot so when I water the plans all the runoff won't stay on the roots. I feel like the roots are a little lazy and I hope by putting them above water they will start doing their best more.
Just a theory, we will see if anything changes.
So, this one is looking good as you guys can see. I cut off quite some leaves and hope this will increase growth in buds and maybe in the plant too. but I guess we will see what happens. Im really happy with her already.
@Hermano, yeah you are right about that, but still - its an autoflower, they just grow ;-) I consider my self as a newbie too, even i have been growing for years now :P .... Your plant definitely looks healthy and strong, as it should 😍
@Red_Rockst4r, Thanx man. There's really not much out there because this is still such a new strain, so as a newby I'm really curious what this will end up like.
Already when I roll the leaves up the smell is amazing. Sweet and some far away tints of pine.
