LaChustas420 My first mushroom grow!!
After eating mushrooms a couple of times, I thought about growing them myself. I bought this B+ kit for €31 at growbarato.net, which is supposed to be easy to grow. Besides the kit, growbarato sent me 6 gifts, including 3 seeds that I will plant soon :) . A friend told me that growbarato kits don't turn out well, so we'll see how it goes.
Unfortunately, I don't have a temperature and humidity meter, so the result is going to be a surprise. What I do have is an electric blanket that I can sometimes plug in to give it some heat; I'll try not to burn them.
The first thing I did was fill it with water (from a well) and keep it in the fridge for 11 hours. Then I drained it and put it in the bag that came with the kit. I sprayed water on the walls of the bag and closed it with clips. I need to open the bag for a couple of minutes, twice a day to oxygenate it.

LaChustas420 Day 8: Today I found a little mushroom!!!!! The bad thing is that I also found some coming out from the sides. I covered it better with aluminum foil so they grow upwards. Let's pray.
Day 9: Another one has appeared!!! And the one that was already there has doubled in size, I can see the little heads of a couple coming up from the sides.
Day 10: A few more have appeared. I accidentally pushed the biggest mushroom and it fell over a bit, I hope it doesn't affect its growth. I had to harvest it at night because the veil was breaking, I guess because of the accident. I tried to extract the spores but it didn't go well because I added 1 drop of water but I should have just moistened the cap a little because it got soaked.
Day 11: I counted 19 mushrooms all over the surface!!
Day 12: This is getting out of hand
Day 13: I harvested a total of 18.96g + 0.7g from the first mushroom. I put 3 to spore. Since they were growing a lot from the sides, I decided to take the cake out and put it in a big tupper, but it broke in half, I hope nothing happens.
Day 14: I harvested 2 mushrooms totaling 6.16g. I also put them to spore.

LaChustas420 Day 15: The spores have successfully fallen! I've harvested 41.87g (fresh) and there’s still more to go. In the first photo, you can see them all, even though they might look a bit smaller because they’re half-dry.
Day 17: A total of 63.57g harvested! I'm drying them in the window, although it takes a few days.
Day 18: + 16.59g = 80.16g!
Day 19: Very rare mushrooms, on reddit they told me they’re dry, I’ll have to moisten them better.
Day 23: Huge mushroom! 10g. I’ve now got a total of 120g.

LaChustas420 I simmered the corn for 45 minutes. I put it in the pressure cooker (electric) for 100 minutes.
The grain after being sterilized seems very moist; water must have leaked in somehow. I made 1 hole in each lid and covered it with micropore tape, but it got wet during sterilization, so when it came time to inoculate, I had to remove it and put on 2 layers. I hope it doesn't get contaminated.
I injected 1.5ml, 2ml, and 2.5ml into the 1L jar.
My agar recipe: 6g potato flakes (for mashed potatoes), 4g agar agar, 2g honey, and 200ml water. Bring to a boil and put it in a jar to sterilize in the pressure cooker (electric) for 1 hour. Then, before it solidifies, pour it into the petri dishes (small jars in my case).

Strong
Smell
LaChustas420 Grain update (10 days) and agar (8 days)!
The first 2 photos seem to be colonizing properly. The third photo of the corn is full of little dots; I think it's just distributed mycelium, but I'm not 100% sure, it could be yeast. (Edit: I'm getting more and more sure that it's mycelium)
The first photo of the agar seems to have mycelium, but I'm not trusting the darker lump in the middle; I think it could be bacterial contamination. The second photo is for a laugh: the agar is in a glass covered with aluminum foil, unlike the others with lids, and I didn't add spores but 2 aborts; everything has grown. I don't know if the white stuff is mycelium, but I'm not daring to find out; it all smells really bad.
-------
The last photos of the grain are 7 days later. It's growing very well, I'm happy. There are no signs of contamination.

LaChustas420 Except for one that got contaminated, all are doing well. I thought the rice was too wet, but the agar has taken well and is growing very fast. The big jar of corn that I thought might be contaminated with yeast is not; the mycelium is growing well.
