April 23: Too cold to put out so I’ll hold off on transplanting.
April 28: applied first FPJ of dandelion greens along with LAB and potassium silicate as a foliar spray at lights out.
April 29: planted out despite overnight temp risk. Should be okay.
May 2: only 2 C last night and that seems to have done some damage. Watered in morning with warmed water with Epsom salts and a bit of molasses.
May 3: was -3 C last night. These plants are mostly okay but some tomato plants were damaged. This one and Golosa look a bit rough, but 11 Roses and ATF are both looking fine.
May 4: some discolouration on the leaves but not too bad considering what she’s been through enduring April in Alberta. Lately it’s been 17 C in the day dropping to near zero by 6 am.
May 6: lights out foliar spray.
May 7: I think Golosa and Desconocido Kush would like it to be a bit warmer...ATF and 11 Roses seem better with lower temps.
May 12: cool again seems okay though.
May 13: Cal-Mag and barley SST this evening. Trying to compensate for high sodium in well water.
May 14: looking good after Cal-Mag boost and barley SST last night.
May 15: topped in morning.
May 16: dilute FPJ foliar spray this afternoon. End of day foliar.
May18: start of 3 days of cool and rainy weather.
May 19: 0 C last night but plants were covered and seem okay. Foliar spray at 11 am.
May 20: used warmed water last night and this morning. Near 0 C again overnight. One more night of this cold weather and then it should warm up again.
June 4: hot this week. LAB only foliar last night and some Calnesium this afternoon.
June 5: LAB and silicate as foliar spray this afternoon. Plants always seem a bit greener a few minutes after the LAB spray.
June 8: fish fertilizer foliar for N in afternoon and LAB silicate and soap foliar at dusk.
June 9: full foliar at dusk (LAB,silicate, soap, fish, vinegar).
June 20: full foliar at dusk.
June 22: ditto. Also she was looking pretty yellow overall this afternoon so she got an Epsom salts and Alaska Fish Fertilizer foliar spray. She was noticeably greener in the evening.
June 23: grew 4 inches in 3 days.
It’s really fucking hot during this heat wave. Mid 30s C is very hot anywhere anytime but especially in Alberta in June. At least the humidity is low. Trying to keep plants cool by misting and shade.
Judging by the pics it looks like it picked up 6 inches in 3 days. To be confirmed. Actually looks like over 2 days. So I guess that means it appreciated the extra N that I was giving her.
June 29: soluble kelp extract, Epsom salts, WSC, fish fertilizer and soap as foliar spray in morning. Kelp is supposed to help recover from stress like excessive heat. Really hot week with all time temperature records being broken. Already 32 C at 10 am. Misting and partial shade trying to cool plants.
June 30: hit 36 C yesterday and today.
Set 1: cold and rainy today, but the flowers continue to fatten up. 😎
I love the look of this plant and it’s flowering fairly quickly.
The breeder website suggests this early version needs about 7 weeks of flowering indoor and is ready by early October outdoor. This plant was force flowered in the last two weeks of July. So this is now week 7 of flowering and it likely needs 10 weeks so it should be done by mid to late September.
Sep 3: Now that we’re into September we get random cold nights like last night where it was only 2.5 C. Yikes. Forecast for next two weeks is good enough though.
Sep 7: I love these buds. Colourful and quite solid already...these should be done fairly soon.
Sep 23: harvested the first top buds. 397 g wet. Very strong plant with no indication of pest problems. 89 g dry and trimmed.
Sep 26: harvested 289 g wet yields 77 g dry and trimmed. So 686 g of wet buds so far yields 166 g dry.
This was a great plant and I recommend it for short season growers. Force flowering was required this far North (53N) but it was worth the effort with decent yields of superb tasty organic buds.
This was an all organic grow using KNF methods. First time trying KNF but it works great for cannabis and I recommend it for anyone growing more than one plant. It’s easy and requires minimal effort and planning.
Made temple balls using 334 g dried flower and trim producing 36.5 g of hash. Passing 120 micron bag and caught on 45 micron bag. Material was from 11Roses, Unknown Kush and Golosa.
