looking pretty healthy other then a little yellow on the tip of one leaf and a pale blotch on another, temp. sitting at 26 C humidity is at 26% (not sure how else to regulate) table top humidifier present in tent (2x4) and a intake fan and exhaust fan running 24h
growing tall and lanky really opening up between branches, kinda looks like an sativa (seeds are indica lineage) some smell has started, definitely has a beautiful bright aroma. still no feeding required the living soil should be able to supply another week of so of nutrients. pistils have started on day 27, also LST is under way to widen her canopy. just did a trim to expose lower growth to the light and allow for stretching out the canopy.
Trimmed this girl a little less liberally from my Canuk cookies since a lot of her under growth is quite spread out and receiving a ton of light even before trimming. LST is looking to be pretty beneficial lower nodes are growing toward the light . Still not adding any nutrients to the mix seems like she has all the food she needs from the soil. I have been going on the same routine of just giving the plants water, untill day 37 where I added a top dressing of gaia green 444 all purpose (half a tsp) and 284 power bloom (1 tsp) with a nice amount of local organic worm castings (about 3 hand fulls). LST seems to be going pretty well lower node sites are turning into branches and reaching for the light.
Added slow release nutrients commented and documented on previous week. LST was started and this week on day 38 I continued LST to flatten the canopy and allow for lower branches to stretch out and create their own colas and increase light exposure.
this week I continued low stress training to the lower branches which were showing some good length. I also decided to defoliate at this point where there were larger leaves that blocked node sights from the light. Day 44 retied down some branches unfortunately lost one very beautiful node sight in the process. No nutrients just yet just watering this week might think of adding more Gaia Green 444 bloom in about 2 weeks we will see how the plants are feeling.
This week I have been dealing with some fun little critters who have joined the party in my tent, which I learned were fungus gnats. I have not seen any larva or maggots, yet there are definitely little flying bugs who aren't harming the plants yet. I attempted to get rid of them by allowing more airflow to happen at soil level and also introducing some marigolds to the tents environment. nothing is really keeping them away so I researched a method of killing larva which was peroxide diluted with a 1:4 water mix, I'm not too sure if it's done anything but we'll see in a few days. Other wise I decided to give the one some power bloom (1 Tablespoon) as a top dressing of the soil which I believe will be the last feeding for this one. LST has continued on day 51 I pulled down the main bud site to level out the canopy which is allowing for lower bud sites on the 3 main colas to get direct light as well as expose some lower shorter branches to the light as well
no pictures unfortunately but I have just kept on a water regiment, and stretched out a few more branches. I stopped defoliation but started to tuck leaves in behind buds. This week the plants started to produce trichomes, and started producing a beautiful aroma similar to tutti fruiti candies.
This plant has been such a treat to grow. All the bud sites are getting fatter and more aromatic. the training regiment has been a breeze and she is getting thirstier as her buds grow thicker. No more training or nutrients, a bit of leaf tucking to ensure the buds are getting direct light
so just like the last 2 week's just continuing daily watering, no flushing will be executed since the soil used has it's own microbial environment and won't be possible to flush nutrients. the trichomes are starting to get cloudy and the tutti fruti smell is just getting sweeter. I believe harvest will be in another week most likely passing the 70 day mark of this strains standard growth period.
UPDATE: harvest will most likely be this Wednesday the 16th of June, can't wait for these babies to start drying
