wind burn from oscillating fan in the tent, have since turned it off and the seedling has opened up and started to reach towards the light again, bottom rounded leaf is still brown from wind burn, leaf closest in the photo has a yellow tip not too sure if it is a over watering issue
so far staying short and stout most likely taking from ruderalis, kinda looks like an indica (seeds are sativa lineage) some smell has started, definitely has a beautiful aroma. still no feeding required the living soil should be able to supply another week of so of nutrients. Bud nodes and pistils on this lady are everywhere on day 27, still sitting short and stout went on with LST either way hoping for a even wider canopy. trim was done on day 29 and day 30 I pulled the stalk down further to expose lower growth to the light more efficiently
so I trimmed my little one down some more noticed that the undergrowth was getting really bushy with no direct light, still no nutrients just watering for now LST is seeming to be slightly working on her since she's so densely packed all at the bottom of the plant, hopping to see her open up a bit more.I have been going on the same routine of just giving the plants water, untill day 37 where I added a top dressing of gaia green 444 all purpose (half a tsp) and 284 power bloom (1 tsp) with a nice amount of local organic worm castings (about 3 hand fulls). LST is still being figured out most of the growth and node sites are super dense and low on the plant some branches are seeming to spread up to the light.
Added slow release nutrients commented and documented on previous week. LST was started and this week on day 38 I continued LST to flatten the canopy and allow for lower branches to stretch out and create their own colas and increase light exposure. lower branches and node sights are starting to move farther from each other on the main stem which allowed for tying down without damaging node sights
This week I'm getting back into some LST this week to expose some lower branches that may have been blocked by other bud sites. unfortunately I lost 2 nodes in the process I hope it won't shock the plant too much. Nutrient regiment has reverted back to just water since Gaia Green nutrients are slow release which the plants are very happy with. She's still quite bushy and stout the lower branches are getting some length but not too much.
This week I have been dealing with some fun little critters who have joined the party in my tent, which I learned were fungus gnats. I have not seen any larva or maggots, yet there are definitely little flying bugs who aren't harming the plants yet. I attempted to get rid of them by allowing more airflow to happen at soil level and also introducing some marigolds to the tents environment. nothing is really keeping them away so I researched a method of killing larva which was peroxide diluted with a 1:4 water mix, I'm not too sure if it's done anything but we'll see in a few days. Other wise I decided to give the one some power bloom (1 Tablespoon) as a top dressing of the soil which I believe will be the last feeding for this one. LST has continued on day 51 I pulled down the main bud site to expose the branches that have gained quite a bit of length on the bottom of the plant and pulled those little guys out to get some direct light and turn into some substantial growth spots as well
no pictures unfortunately but I have just kept on a water regiment, and stretched out a few more branches. I stopped defoliation but started to tuck leaves in behind buds. This week the plants started to produce trichomes, and started producing a beautiful spicy aroma.
day 59 - day 64, bud's are showing their potential allot more. The main cola is about hand sized and the aroma is developing into a doughy spiced bun with a little rosemary. I'm looking forward to the next week or so until harvesting this beautiful lady.
so just like the last 2 week's just continuing daily watering, no flushing will be executed since the soil used has it's own microbial environment and won't be possible to flush nutrients. the trichomes are starting to get cloudy and the peppery terpenes that were evident last week have started to get citrusy. I believe harvest will be in another week most likely passing the 70 day mark of this strains standard growth period.
UPDATE: harvest will most likely be this Wednesday the 16th of June, can't wait for these babies to start drying
