Struggled with slow growth and nutrient burn on 2/4. Found the Coco ph at 7.5, watered with 5.5 and it's now testing around 6.5! They are happy and growth speed has definitely picked up.
All have been topped atleast once and Lst on 3/4 so far.
Lots more topping and weaving. Now to recover for a few days an on to flower!
All deficiency problems seem to have been solved and everyone is looking healthy.
Alot of stretching going on first week of flower. These girls have gone crazy and filled out the tent perfectly. Took 5 days of 12/12 for the first white hairs to show up.
They've grown approximately 8 inches vertically in the last week. Light is losing space fast and I will have to move my filter which is above it to the ground beside the tent.
Let the race begin.
Good week of growth, stretch is still scaring me as I only have about 1.5 ft left of light raise space. Looking good smelling like petro mixed with a sugary candy. Exciting
Stretch has stopped with only an inch of space to spare. Smells great in there, resin and trichome production is going crazy. Plants are wet and sticky to the touch. Assuming I should have already installed a trellis net to help with bud weight. Afraid to do much if any defoliation as all the fan leaves are growing trichomes now as well.
Fattening up pretty nice, everything except the dirt fly issue seems to be going well, despite the rumors of this strain being extremely temperamental.
Packing on the weight, doing well. Still battling these damn fungus gnats... the smell is thick and great. Plants are flowing with sticky resin.
Note to self; more lollipopping!! Too many buds doing poorly beneath the extremely thick luscious canopy. The energy could have been used elsewhere if they were deemed a waste and eliminated early on.
But I guess each strain is different..
About a week left, amber trichomes just beginning to show up on the tips of the largest buds. Smells great. Looks great.
These seeds came with a warning about not being for "novice" growers and detail about them being very susceptible to problems. I've found a good ph base fixes just about every issue that came up (and there were very few).
By all means I am a novice grower. I have only grown about 7 or 8 successful harvests with none being in the last three years.
This was my first step back into the game.
For seeds that came with a warning label about being tough to grow. These were fairly straight forward for my first grow in years. Only issues that came up were the occasional ph unbalance as my home water came out of the tap at 7.5, and a fungus gnat war that waged until the mid days of flowering.
Overall a good seed with seemingly decent genetics. Plant grew strong branches with think stock, perfectly spaced nodes for how stacked the tent was, long dense buds. Growing 4 of the same seed you can definitely see differences in strength and weakness between the 4 plants, one grew taller and bigger fluffy buds while one grew a shorter much denser canopy of buds about half the size, with two about the same in the middle of the scale.
Overall good yield, good potency, cool colors and smells. The ocs seeds surprised me.
