Gooeygrows his 1st autoflower !
💡2 x 24W CFL
🌱2 x Coco Jiffy Pellet
💧 Tap water @ 0.1EC x 15ml (×2 Daily)
🍃 Small clip fan
Will look to start training ASAP if first stages of growth run smoothly. This is my favourite aspect of cannabis cultivation so I may have to adjust my approach given the unforgiving nature of auto flowering plants. Currently considering a 3rd node topping to promote a mainline V.S. simple LST and leaf tucking. I am curious how the plant will grow if left untouched however I would be lying to myself if I was to believe I could refrain from any tucking, bending or weaving!
After hours of unnecessary stressing about which day is the true Day 1 of a seed to harvest growth timeline... I cannot find a trustworthy source and as such have decided to start Day 1 in the Vegetative stage marked by when the seedlings push their helmets above ground (favourable in this circumstance given I planted the germinated seedlings relatively deep into the coco pellets).
•100% germination rate
•Day 1( D1) to be recorded from W1 of veg when seedling heads emerge from the jiffy pellet tops.
Environment:
💡2 x 24W CFL (24/0)
🌰2 x Coco Jiffy Pellets → 2 x jiffy pot
🌡️T: 22-28°C || RH: ~60-70%
Germination timeline:
G+0 (26 April): 2 seeds → paper towel
G+72H: sprouting observed ✓ taproot ready for pellets ✓
★ transplant both sprouts→coco jiffy pellets
💧Irrigation with tap water 15ml @ 0.1EC twice daily.
🧠📝
Even a small fan dries coco pellets out very quickly.
Made sure to try and water from the sides of the pellet to encourage root expansion.
🌱Transplant to seedling pot ✓
💧 Fertigation commenced at 0.4EC | 6-6.4pH
💡 schedule adjustment to include 6H of darkness.
D1 (📅1st May) - I'm a sucker for neat timing and appreciated the bonus of being able to start my bean counter from the first of a month. It's the little things. Both 🌱's took their time pushing above ground - fault of the grower as I am confident I buried the sprouted seeds unnecessarily deep into the coco pellets. They just seem so delicate in their early days!
D4 - roots visible through both coco pellets. Transplant both seedlings to jiffy pots, pre-saturated at EC 0.4 pH | 6.1.
💡 Schedule adjusted: 24/0 →18/6. Will be mindful of any signs of resistance or enthusiasm towards the addition of a 6H dark period to inform future decisions concerning optimizing early light schedules.
📇 Plants have been named!
🌱№¹: Kiesha
🌱№² Becky
D8 (8 May) - Both plants chugging along despite my heavy hand - no roots emerging from pot yet. Keisha still the leader, seemingly not phased by the light burn
D11 - roots visible from base of seedling pot on both girls. Will hold off on transplant to allow for colonisation of entire media.
D13 (13 May) - one of the plants (Keisha) has gone full retard and is displaying some seriously wonky growth. Curiously seems isolated to one side. Curiouser still, the apical tip is now growing in the direction of the mutated leaves rather than towards the light... This is the same plant the light fixture fell onto however she appeared to be structurally fine after the incident and I can not see any stem damage to indicate injury. The current mangled growth really has me stumped, especially given she appears healthy besides this section !

D15(🗓️15 May) - stunty (Keisha) continues to grow all wack, can't make heads or tails of what she thinks she's up to. Have decided to just be a passive witness to what is hopefully a Cinderella story.
D17 - roots of both 🌱 s have been emerging from the base/side of the pot for days now, am currently waiting on delivery of 2 3L airpots to transplant them into.
⚠️ Assuming my delayed uppotting alongside a negligent approach to watering (allowing for multiple unplanned dry backs) has damanged the hungry roots. Would expect a tight root ball on transplant if not.
D20- 🆙Transplant Day!
I wrote a bunch here already but the website didn't save it... I don't have the energy to do it again just now so stay tuned. Long story short they're home in there home in their new 3L AipPots. Root balls were disappointing to to say the least, perhaps my theory above was unfortunately correct. I tried to separate some of the roots and place them around the media in the hope they would colonosie more efficiently this way.

D22 [🗓️ 22 May]
Both plants now undergoing full migration to LED tent. Leaves don't scream happy so hopefully the new lighting satisfies. Otherwise, given the yellow leaves appearing I think I may be underfeeding and have raised Fertigation frequency and EC.

D23 - ➰some light LST commenced on Becky, as other than her lackluster leaves appears healthy enough to wear a bit of pull.
D26 - 🐌slow growth
💧 Fertigation 1.4 | 5.5-5.9 pH
Both girls short and stout. Light green foliage persists but otherwise healthy appearance. Keisha (the retarded starter) is actually shaping up quite well !
🏵️ Expecting the flowering stretch any day now... Nearly 4 weeks from seed. Will try to track Keisha's height every other day as she is currently untrained.
D27 📛🌼
Can't believe I burnt another plant ... 3rd time now in as many weeks. Have topped the sizzled tip - hopefully no foul if flowering hasn't kicked off ! Given I have been applying some light LST to her with little resistance and in a photoperiod world she would already be topped it might be a blessing in disguise.
D29 - (May 29)
🏵️ Flower time! Snuck up on me but expected given my first auto experience.
D32 (🗓️June 1)
➰Applying LST to flatten both canopies. Has formed a nice bushy shape during the stretch.
D35
Looking healthy but hungry, will start with a quarter strength dose of pk 13/14 next week.
🗓️Week 6🗓️
🏵️ Flowering well and truely under way as we approach day 40.
➰The LST has worked well, both plants have formed an even rounded canopy.
✂️Might need to defoliate this week as both plants are quite dense and humidity could be a concern.

🔎🌿Keisha looking a lighter lime green than her sister, will monitor for any more deficiency symptoms.
D46 [🗓️Tues June 15]
✂️ I have been trying to avoid any pruning/defoliation as I was keen to see how they would fair keeping all their foliage throughout the full grow cycle (excluding what they shed themselves).
However the extent of growth underneath the canopy (likely due to my shotgun LST approach) has left me little choice if I want to keep humidity and airflow at acceptable levels.
Curiosity of untamed growth aside, I did believe from a growers perspective that a defoliation should serve them both well as both plants have left little room for light penetration or effective air circulation through each canopy (and the entire tent).
Becky (RHS of tent) - looking like she might be the more sativa dominant of the too (although this is counterintuitive to my observations of faster flowering compared to her sister). Her leaves are thin-fingered, her growth seems less compact/bushy than Keisha and her branches seem to be elongating just as I would expect from a more sativa dominant genetic.
I do believe the stretch phase has come to an end which means bring on the bulking phase!
Day 50 (June 19)
Away for a few days this week so not much to report. Some light ,✂️ this week, looks like it might.be a regular event from here to harvest given how busy I've let her get!
Day 56 (June 25)
end of week 8.
❄️Buds starting to frost up!
W ⁹
D⁵⁷ (📆June 26📆)
✂️Defoliation is every 3rd day or so now, really trying to open up some of her stems, mostly to mitigate humidity concerns.

🌶️ Nutrient burn noticable on the upper sugar leave tips... Might also be due to a pH swing as my I have been lazy again with the consistent calibration.
probe care solutions will arrive tomorrow, should help keep my bluelab pen fresh and calibrated.
D⁶² (📆 July 1📆)
🥃Starting 1/2 dose THC Eksit today, late flowering bloom additive. Bought totally on a whim and I can't find much info about it's effectivity so going in blind!

Have finally reached the infamous week 11 mark. Most auto breeders seem to average out their seed to harvest guidance over their selection, typically see 70 days claimed as a fairly standard expectation. Below are the strain specifics - direct from the horses mouth... On Instagram:
SoFem Genetics: Strain Guide
🦍GG4 x 🍊Tangie (Auto)
_____Strain Behavior & Structure_____
• An incredible Tangie leaning hybrid auto that averages in the 22% THC range and finishes in under 90 days from seed for an average yield of 4-5oz per plant indoors. We recommend a 5 gal bucket or larger pot if yield is most important. She'll finish sooner in a smaller pot at the cost of a lower yield. The gas is there, but she definitely leans towards the Tangie more than the GG4.
_____Indica/Sativa Dominance_____
Each genotype is likely to express an unique hybrid structure, which is why most breeders aren’t listing sativa/indica ratios anymore - just a noting if they lean either way. This one doesn’t lean either way, it’s a stable hybrid. But you may have one that grows with more internode spacing between sites.
[D⁷¹] 📆 Sat July ¹⁰📆
💦⬇️Have begun to gradually reduce the Fertigation EC, aiming for 1.2 by end of the week. Also need to be checking trichomes ASAP.
💧Current Fertigation ingredients (per 1L):
0.5ml CaliMagic (1/2)
0.1mL Drip Clean
1ml Bud XL
1ml Canna Coco A
1ml Canna Coco B
*pH down to 6.0/6.1
[D⁷⁵] 📆 Wed July ¹⁴
I feel terrible but I have totally lost track of which plant is which (which is Kiesha and which is Becky).
🌴 Regardless, one is ripening with a longer internode spacing more typical of a sativa, with more stick like branches dominating the canopy. She also looks a bit behind her sister in terms of harvest time, with a greater abundance of buds with white stigma.
👨🌾🌳Her sister on the other hand (Plant 1?) is developing some really nice full buds, and even with her small stature should give a decent yield! Very excited for this one as I don't think she's far off at all.
💧⬇️ Will begin to reduce EC by 0.1 daily as an alternative to an immediate and extended plain water flush. First time fading a plant so want to do it carefully!
Fertigation 1.1 EC pH 6.0
0.25ml CaliMagic (1/4)
0.1mL Drip Clean
1.0mL Bud XL
0.75ml Coco A
0.75ml Coco B
+(Final Bloom Boosters - final 2 weeks)
10ml Ekist (1/2) OR 20mL Grow Juice (1/2)
Possible natural Senescence with yellowing seen is some off the upper eaves and a general aged appearance. May also be influenced by the slightly reduced E (1.2 for a few days) or the addition of Bud XL form H&G (pulling sugars from leaves to buds).

💧 feeding at EC 1.0, slowly dropping from here. Unsure as to what is deficiency/nutrient burn etc and what is part of the natural fade...
D⁸⁰ 📆Mon July ¹⁹
Can't be more than a week left in either plant, hardly s white stigma in sight and amber trichomes are definitely popping.
D⁸¹
💧↓to 0.7/0.8 EC. Aiming for a pH towards the upper end of the scale (6.2) to finish her off.
🏵️Taking a lot of self discipline not to pull anymore buds off!
D⁸⁵ 📆July²⁴
🍼 Went a bit bananas with the bloom boosters and additives:
• Flairform: GrowStorm + BudStorm
•Green Planet: Liquid Weight
•Canna: Boost + Cannazym
Who said you can't buy love!
🖊️Have been calibrating my pH pen much more frequently, making sure to keep her stored in the electrode storage solution. An improvement on my previous negligent probe care!
