I am growing in homemade super soil on a very low budget. Since most organic amendments used in the western countries aren’t available here, I have managed gather seaweed, neem khali, cow dung manure, chicken manure, groundnut cake, rock phosphate, wood ash, vermicompost, perlite, humic acid, ground dried banana peels, dried ground cucumber skin as amendments.
Later on in my grow I will use KNF (FFJ), fungal tea and banana compost for flower.
Temperatures are low, seedling progressed slowly.
Transplanted to 1 gallon pot at day 14. I did check the Ph of my RO water and my Tap water. Both came to be around 7.8-8.0 . I don't ph down or up since it is organic grow. No problem till now except slow growth due to low temperature.
Defoliated the leaves that did not receive enough sunlight. I did some HST and snap bent all the main colas so that the lower branches can pick up. At this stage I started feeding homemade FFJ @2ml per litre of water
Battling with spider mites at this stage. I am trying to keep them at bay using different methods. Neem oil spray, garlic and mint spray, pain water sprays.
I also fed some fungal tea I brewed for 72 hours.
Finally got rid of at least 90% of the spider mites. I put 4-5 naphthalene balls in a container and put it in top of my soil inside the pot. The same day I sprayed the plant heavily with water at least 5-6 times. Spider mites were gone next day.
Rest everything Is on track.
From now on, I shall update my diary everyday.
I used some rosemary oil spray for the remaining spider mites. Worked like a charm
Day 40: the buds are still developing new pistils. The weather these days has been sunny to cloudy with some rain.
The mites appeared again. It’s been really hard to keep them away but I am trying. I plucked off bigger leaves on day 49 of flower.
Also, just to try, I pierced the main stem of my plant with a knife and inserted tooth pins halfway through to shock the plant to get more trichomes. I will update soon the results soon
Pretty easy to grow. It was a budget grow with organic amendments available in my area as the fancy bottled nutrients are not available here. I spent about USD 10 in total. So I am quite happy with this grow 😃
Update: total dry weight is 129Grams
