hidden_valleycrops i’m using PH’d Spring Water throughout this entire process. I let my seed soak in water for about 18 hours (literally used a shot glass). the next day i tapped the seed and it dropped straight to the bottom. i poured the seed and ALL of the water in the shot glass right on to a paper towel free of any designs/ink. the seed cracked open pretty quickly. took about 3-4 days before i placed it in a rapid rooter. i recommend using a porcelain plate for the paper towel method. I used a paper plate, which was absorbing the water as well. using a paper plate resulted in more frequent “water sprays.” it was pretty annoying, but also not much a huge issue since i’m home all day (thanks, covid -__-).

hidden_valleycrops Week# 1: she has made great progress and i’m pretty stoked that this is all happening right before my eyes.
i was being too cautious and had the light about three feet away from her as i didn’t want to kill it.
transplant day was at the end of the week. a beautiful and established root system appeared (no picture of this, my bad).
Soil Used: Nature’s Choice Organic (MG Soil) w/ a few handfuls of Perlite
Water: Poland Spring Water (she’s spoiled lol)

hidden_valleycrops Week#2: things are started to pick up. just spraying the top layer of soil with water anytime i see its starting to get dry. no nutrients given, still being super cautious.
where i f—- up: i should have lowered the light at this point instead of leaving it so far away. also, i live in very dry climate, humidity should have been increased and after doing more research i went ahead and purchased a humidifier. kept it at about 50%_70% & i feel like she loved it! no ill side effects whatsoever.
just being patient. she’s very low maintenance right now.
