Ferinky This week has been sunny and very hot, it's growing better than last week, I'm happy for her.. and for me :)

Ferinky This week it has grown like a champion and I've been able to take cuttings to keep the variety in case I like it. The apical cut was made halfway up the plant to take advantage of the cuttings. The LST training will start next week when its branches have grown a bit. I also removed the less useful leaves and shoots.

Ferinky This week it was time to transplant into the final 35L pot. For the supersoil, I used my own mix composed of: Peat Worm humus Coco Perlite Vermiculite Horse, goat, and sheep manure Homemade compost Clay pebbles for drainage I added the following organic fertilizers: Blood meal Bone meal Fish meal Rock meal Dolomite Epsom salts Bat guano Seaweed extracts Neem meal I let the mix sit for 8 weeks, moist in the final pot, so it would be ready to use on transplant day. Ferinky Her growth is on track as I tighten the wires and prune her. I'm alternating the waterings, one with just tap water and the other I add Cannazym. So far, after more than two months of life, I haven't added any nutrients; with the initial mix of supersoil, she seems to have everything she needs.

Ferinky I couldn't update on week 11, but here we have its current state, it's starting to stretch to prepare for the pre-flowers. Last week I adjusted the LST wires and did the last defoliation trimming.

Ferinky These are the days when the transition to flowering really starts to show. I'm fertilizing for the first time with solid seaweed extract (Ascophyllum Nodosum) at a rate of 0.5g/L, alternating with watering with just water and another watering with Cannazym.

Ferinky In this update, I'm including 2 weeks since I couldn't add the previous week due to work. On August 15th, it received the second spray of Bacillus Thuringiensis to prevent caterpillar attacks. I'm still alternating watering with water one day and watering with Ascophyllum Nodosum the next day. I've stopped watering with Cannazym.

Ferinky This week, its flowers have started to fatten up, and you can already appreciate its smell. I'm still alternating waterings of just water with one of water mixed with 100% organic bio-stimulant Ascophyllum Nodosum: Alginate acid 16% Mannitol 4% Nitrogen 2.5% Soluble Potassium oxide 18.5% It will also receive its third spraying of Bacillus Thuringiensis to protect it from caterpillars.

Ferinky This week it got its first summer storm, but it handled it without any issues thanks to the branches being tied down with LST wire. I took the opportunity to do a light defoliation and clean off the dead leaves. I've watered once with Ascophyllum, another time with Cannazym, and the rest just water; it's been drinking about 3-4 liters every day for 40 days.

Ferinky Final stretch of flowering, the buds keep fattening up, the leaves are yellowing, and the smell is getting more intense. This week I'm including a general photo from all angles. According to the seed bank, the harvest should be ready by mid-October, and from its appearance, that seems right.

Ferinky This week I only watered with water, as last week they received a watering of Ascophyllum at the beginning of the week and the rest were waterings. The buds are hard and heavy, full of resin and with a characteristic smell of this strain.

Ferinky Hello and thanks for stopping by to check out my diary. This isn't the first time I've grown Chocolope from DNA Genetics, and if it were up to me, it wouldn't be the last. About 5 years ago, I bought a pack of 6 feminized seeds, planted 2 of them outdoors, and the result was 2 identical plants with an exquisite earthy and coffee flavor and a strong, lasting cerebral effect that can knock anyone out and doesn’t mess around. I finished that pack in the next grow with identical results and decided to buy another pack as soon as I had the chance since there was a stock shortage for a while; this time I shared half of the seeds with a grower friend. Of the 3 seeds I kept, this is the last one I had stored in the fridge for a couple of years. The plant grew without any problems except for some deficiencies that showed up early, especially nitrogen. Being a 100% organic grow and only using tap water for irrigation without adding liquid fertilizers was to be expected, although the final result leaves me very satisfied. Additionally, the fact that I added all the nutrients to the substrate made it easier to manage watering and I didn't have to do a root wash. The plant developed in a 35L pot and produced 175g of dry, dense buds with a very good flower-to-leaf ratio. The smell of the wet flowers was very intense, like coffee and roots. Regarding pests and diseases, it has been very resistant; I haven't noticed signs of spider mites, aphids, or thrips thanks to the addition of neem cake in the substrate. I also didn't suffer the dreaded and common caterpillar attack (neither leaf nor bud worms) thanks to spraying at key times with Bacillus Thuringiensis. In previous grows, I had issues with fungi, but this year it hasn’t been affected by powdery mildew, which usually appears at the end of flowering in my area, nor by botrytis despite the buds being dense and resinous, so the mycorrhizae and trichoderma pill worked perfectly, not only strengthening the root system but also against invasive fungi. The climate has also been favorable this year; I live in a warm area where the temperature is usually optimal for outdoor cannabis cultivation. In May, it rained pleasantly on some days, June, July, and August were especially dry, with only a couple of nights of rain at the end of August, and September has also been very respectful, raining only 2 times. For all these reasons, being the first time I’m making a supersoil, I’m sure that for the 2022 season I will repeat the system, making some adjustments to the mix to avoid the deficiencies I mentioned. In week 5, I detail the ingredients I used for the supersoil mix.
