radical out in 24 hours; after sprouted, case was a bit stubborn so I misted off; after 72 hrs, transferred to seedling airpot and hit it with the boom
- I should have been paying attention to pH after increasing the amount Blossom Master from 0.5 to 1ml per liter as I was going off old reading of 5.1. after the increase ph dropped to 4.4 which meant that I should have doubled my pH up to 1/4 tsp from the 1/8 and a bit that I was using before. it levelled off at 6.1 but I should probably add a bit more next water and feed to raise the levels overall.
- was having major heat problems with range of 28 high to 19/20 low. VPD has also been erratic ranging from .66 to 1.4. I changed the tent intake hose to direct draw from ac unit to insulated and shortened the length to offset temperature gain. I dropped humidity and over past 24h the temp range is now 25/21 with vpd averaging 1.1 with humidity averaging 40%.
- increased light intensity to 92% for 65 000 lux at canopy. tomorrow I will max it and probably hit 70 000
Debating trimming the leaves but I don't want to stress the plant if I don't need to. I'd like more light penetration to hit the subcolas coming off the mains. the fan leaves themselves are still healthy
defol is very useful but as you're 3 weeks + in flower , they won't replace rhenneded ones only recover the same. ideally no later than day 21 in flower for a defol. removing the odd leaf that is blocking light won't be an issue really. try tucking it behind something or moving it 1st , if not pull out. The lower bigger fans become blocks for airflow too which is really important to keep good as the buds thicken. getting air around them is vital too. you won't damage with defol, if anything and worse case , you would stunt the growth . dont worry , these are hardy plants that survived for millenia in some harsh conditions too.
5/26: last half...time to start tweaking our food. dropping the blossom blaster pro and reducing the bud fuel...we'll be through with that as well. i added the heavy bud and the monster bloom at 25 and 50% strength respectively. i trimmed a few fan leaves to open some light chutes. i regret not being a bit more aggressive below the canopy just before i switched because it is quite lush down there. i might add another fan to help circulation. i cranked the lights to 100% and have an effective lux of 72k at the highest apical but will be watching closely for any strain. i set the sensors to blow cooler air into the tent to work with the exhausting. seems to work okay. also noticed some very very slight burn in the tips but i think its because i went out-of-sequence with the feed schedule and went nute-nute instead of nute-water so i flipped everything accordingly. averages are 24C, 47% humidity for a VPD of 1.1kpa
5/27: watered 4L each...trimmed a few pesky fan leaves covering some bud sites
5/28: trimmed a couple fan leaves that I noticed were going yellow
5/31: some water for our parched roots (but not too parched) and back enjoying the (fake) sun
6/3: tweaked the feed for week 5 as we transition into senescence. pH, PPM are 6.5 and 1330
6/12: I watered today and will skip feed Monday. I think I'll start dialing back the notes for the feed after. I'm always skittish about testing runoff water for PPM but maybe its worth the exercise. my overfeed concern is illustrated with the last picture uploaded which shows the serrations and their curling/browning. I think its a very minor case but I am concerned nonetheless since I am deep into flower
6/11: yeah its definitely too rich. I hope I didn't fuck up too bad and stunt any growth but I was hoping to see a bit more volume by now
6/10: I am concerned that it might be too hot in my soil.

I am fairly far along in flower and my leaf tips are browning so I'm going to make the safe assumption of overfed. is there any point in flushing now? one of the plants (Wedding Cake) is going to be ready to chop in about 2 weeks time so I was planning on doing the flush in a wee

6/16: i have cut out the monster bud early because i think it was contributing to the nute burn. i swapped a nute day last time for a water and that was two days after a decent flush. normally water 4L per container but i did 8L over the course of an hour.
6/22: hi all, watermelon Zkittlez is supposed to be 9 week flower but my trichomes are significantly amber...pistles are also mostly brown...I fed some nutes this morning but doubled back and final flushed. will water on thursday
