5/23 - soaked in a glass overnight then put them on paper towel. Left for a few days, all popped. Thumbs up to Crop King Seeds (so far!).
5/26 - a bit behind schedule so the tap roots are somewhat long (3/4") and I finally got them in solo cups at the end of the evening. One looks a bit rough in the OG Kush batch- not expecting it'll be happy, but I'll plant it and see - but all the super silver seem good!
5/30 - I feel like the seedlings are getting leggy. Moved them from the Mars Hydro TS 600 tent to the 4x4' with the Phlizon 2020 Pro, hopefully this helps. There's also a Phlizon 1200W LED in the same tent that I have at a separate height / angle for some veggies.
Put in a small old table to raise up the containers so I wasn't always clambering around on the floor (which was ridiculous).
Started some sour diesel today as well, as I'm hedging my bets that I somehow manage to kill off at least a couple of these lil' dudes. pH is still my nemesis!
6 June - Upsized them to 3Gal pots per suggestions from the good folks here - thank you!
5 June - 'Lil dudes seem to be coming along OK at week 2 and so far no issues with the OG Fast - woot woot! If anyone's using Sunshine #4 and has a recommendation on the exact water pH to tune to before using LMK! I've been adjusting the pH by letting the tap water sit for at least 48 hours, testing, adjusting with some pH down (generally haven't had to use up as well to fix an overcorrection, but did once), running it through some of the soil and testing the run-off to see where it's at and rinse repeating until what goes in is within the 5.5 - 6.5 range and what comes out is not over 6.5 - generally aiming for ~ 6.2ish.
Humidity is high here right now and spiked up to about 80-85% overnight when power flickered and my main fan kicked off but no issues with these two related to that yet. Temp didn't get over 80 with the power issue though the fluctuations over the last week have been as much as 10 degrees.
This is the stage I got to last time when they were trucking along and then suddenly faltered and I gave up on them when they got weak, stumpy and overall failed to thrive (definitely started with nutes too early and pH was off in the original mix to start). With better medium this time (Sunshine #4) I'm hoping I don't fry them. Fingers crossed!!
My fast OG seems to be behind schedule at 2 weeks compared to a lot of grows I've seen here. 😕 I am new and can't put my finger on what I need to do in order to get the growth even after reading a lot here so far. I'm still bad at pH balancing, I think. Any ideas? Thx!! 👍
Not bad at all bro. What you've just told me is absolutely spot on! You're doing everything right. Maybe it's just genetics! I'm not expert by any means but they look a little smaller than mine were at some point. I stunted the back plant in my grow for 4 weeks.. and shes very similar in size to the others. So just wanted to see if there was anything that could be improved (for me it was watering 😝.)
They look perfectly healthy, just a little on the smaller side that's all... but your doing everything perfectly. Dont panic I'm sure they will be shooting up in no time!
13 June - Going into week 4 technically here but I'm behind on posting so these are some catch-up pictures. This week I didn't water at all - realizing I've been guilty of overwatering like the newbie I am. Zero water, reduced the light a bit (I had it blaringly high) and lowered the tent temp by about 3-4 degrees so it stopped bumping up toward 80 mid-day.
Definitely seeing faster growth and more stable looking colouration since I stopped drowning the poor things. They're still smaller than I'd want them to be, but given the poor treatment early on I guess I can't complain too much! The bottom leaves seem like they're getting a tad darker and might have some wrinkling so I'm guessing I still gave them too many nutrients the last time around.
Should probably water in the next few days but I'm holding off as long as possible... maybe sacrificing getting the nutes balanced sooner by skipping the watering but I think letting them dry out was most important. We'll see!
Que maravilha ✌️
Boa sorte no cultivo e aproveita o desenvolvimento 👍
E no final que tenhas uma grande colheita 🌱🌱
