Realtheif Soaked random seeds in water overnight then moved them to damp thin paper towel covered in a plastic bag. Let them sit for 12 before finding the first one sprouted. Took the seed and planted it in a peat pellets to grow for a week. Came back to the towel 12hrs later to see another sprout which was also put in a peat pellet. Two more seeds are waiting to sprout. Peat pellets are under a 18/6hr light schedule. Think I will keep them like this for at least a week watering every few days.

Realtheif Tired to rehydrate all of the seedlings but only managed to save one. Will begin to schedule waterings so this doesn't happen. Hoping this lone survivor makes it and is female.

Realtheif She's moving along pretty fine, certainly approaching the time that I should move her into the final grow medium but, I want to wait a few days. Improved the airflow and am getting much better temps throughout the day.

I have been using bottled water to feed the seedlings but I will need a larger volume of water for the plants during veg. I am planning on getting a fishtank bubbler to filter tap water but am unsure about specifics. Any advice would be great.

Or on the super cheap, you can use brita or KDM filter. I've used these instead of RO with success (they basically just remove chlorine and chloramines) like bubbling and / or leaving the water out overnight.

Realtheif Approaching the start of week three I think she definitely needs more room than just the peat pellet. Not quite there as far as the 5 gal but I found some others using solo cups and figures I would try that. I hope she keeps going strong.

Realtheif Noticed the lower leaves starting to yellow during the weekend but a friend said since they were so small it didn't matter. Started adding nutes to the water today and fed awhile after the lights went on. She's a lot more pale than she started but that's probably due to the plain water I've been giving her. The pH is very low and I will be adjusting it asap. My auto sprouted so this one is even less important but I'll keep her going ovb.

Realtheif Been a minute since I updated this but she's just now switched to a 12/12 schedule. The auto started flowering a bit ago so it was time to get them on the same plan.
I wish I would've started the training on the auto much earlier including topping but hey you live and you learn. The reg plant is waaay more forgiving when it comes to training and I took a few weeks just learning on her. Overall I'm pretty happy with my first grow and am looking forward to the flowering period.

Keep small one so u can practice. And every leaf is important when they are that small.
transplant auto as soon as posible. Autos dont wait. U have around 30 days to make best of her. More space for root, bigger plant. Good luck

Hey bro! If its a regular seed then you should have atleast 3 plants, as they have 50% chance of being a male. Also, in about 2-4weeks you can start telling the sex of your plants by looking at the preflowers. Also beware male plants polinazing your females, that would ruin the crop turning every bud into seeds containers. I recomend ordering feminized seeds online, so you know you are getting a lady.

Goodluck with the grow! Just a little bit of advice, coco being a hydroponic medium would need nutrients as soon as the "true" leaves emerge, and you will probably need to add cal-mag too! Coco will bind to cal-mag making it unavailable for the plant to use, so a bit extra is usually needed for the grow medium. Cheers!
