I’ve found that going straight into soil is best for me and my girls.
Prepare your tub with soil, put your bean in a fingernail size hole and level over. 500ml corrected water over her, then I use a clear plastic solo cup with a hole cut in the bottom ~ 10mm, upturn it and bury the top in the soil with bean in the middle.
They tend to take roughly 2-3 days until she breaks surface and shows her day 1 leaves 😉 using this method with autos especially I’ve had 100% success (touch wood). I believe (although I cannot prove), that less handling of the bean the better... personally speaking it scares the hell out of me that I used to pick it up from the tissue and place it in soil, just because of how fragile they are. In fact I don’t even touch the bean. Just straight from packet to soil 🤣
Much love fam
Well I’ve had 4 days away and she is looking happy and healthy. Just fresh clean corrected water, light and a lotta love. I’ve taken her seedling dome off to take the pics 😉 will add more on future posts as today I have some leftover trim to run 😉 keep medicated out there 👊🔥
Glorious growth! She is loving life at the moment - astonishing growth from under 2 big top leaves which looked like needed removing. So I did and bam, 2 side shoots growing as big as the main stem, nice! Overall I’m very happy with where she is and what she’s doing. I don’t top or find with autos, but I do defoliate, if the leaf is blocking light to a new shoot. Which I will try to capture in before and after pics. I may be wrong but I feel that the lack of growth in the first week, is like a swan gliding through the water, not much going on up top but underneath is where the action is - sending out scouting roots to understand the extent to which she can grow. Then second week boom🔥 she just starts exploding with new branches I’m excited to see how the new Evoponics line goes as I’ve heard really good things - all organic 🔥
What a week, and what a stretch! Only taken 4-5 leaves to enable light to get to more of her.
As you will see from the pics I’ve also pulled one side branch over to give her more room. Once others are at the same height they will also be pulled over. I try to do this with just one at a time so I don’t stress her too much. Given the shortened lifespan (shush don’t tell them 😉😂), it isn’t advisable to put them under too much stress as;
1- she doesn’t have a lot of time to recover, a lady she may be, but she can’t do everything at once!
2- it will add time onto the end of her life which could give rise to seeding hermying etc.
3- too much stress she may decide not to grow any further, seriously effecting yield.
As all my girls are for my medicine cabinet, I need to maximise every single seed I use and make sure she has everything she needs, to help her grow into the best she can be…. (With my current set up, which is reasonably amateur at best 😆).
You may see another piece of the plant tie, this is just to encourage her to shoot outwards a little. It’s just a gentle nudge at this point, until she is of a length and strength to withstand being pulled over.
It’s been a blast, can’t wait to see what another week brings!
Much love everyone
Stay safe
Stay medicated
Stay amazing
This young lady is just going for it and there is no stopping her! Growing so vigorously that training has been an absolute joy! I tend to once train once during a grow however I take it slowly to minimise stress.
Other than making her not comfortable that’s all the LST needed - she will do the rest 😍 glorious!
Until next week
Stay shiny
No more training now as she is starting to get stiff, plus she is into flower now so even less stress from now on!
Taking only those leaves that are causing shadows or are too big ie they’ve been on her too long!
What a girl! Just a little light teasing out of the branches, of which there’s very many! 🔥
She is still really going for it and I don’t think she is going to stop until I stop her 😂 I think I lost count at around 20 tops, not bad to say I’ve not topped or fimed, just gentle training, increasing angles day by day to help her be all she can be 😍
Stay safe out there people
Feeding, feeding, feeding, and watching her grow - she is big, very big - I will add some closer shots as we get further into flower as she is sporting double serrated leaves 😍
No further training now, I will start to add some supports for her as she plumps up those flowers!
Just feeding and helping her do her thing, whata girl though! And the smell is just out of this world already!
Stay safe
This girl is a rocking addition to anyone’s medicine cabinet/garden/tent. Such a joy to watch her grow. She seems to be benefitting from being outside and while the godlight is on ima give my girls as much as I can!
Now she is fattening up very nicely indeed… more of the same for a couple more days then I won’t move her outside anymore.
The smell is amazing, kind of forbidden fruit smell but on steroids 😂 a stem rub is intoxicating!
With double serrated leaves everywhere, she’s going to be a very strong one that’s for sure.
Stay safe out there 💚
My girl tells me it’s time to flush as she’s ready to fatten up and finish so who am I to argue 😉😂 🔥🔥🔥
Couldn’t be happier with her, she has amazed me all the way through.
Happy harvest soon
Stay frosty
What a girl, she’s new, she’s red, she’s huge, and she smells amazing. Every day she’ll make you smile! Try to leave her as natural as possible using LST and defoliate to allow light through the canopy and boom!
For now she is drying, although I haven’t managed to hang her whole as she has that many side branches I actually lost count!
I’ll return and post weights, tastes and all that jazz in a couple weeks.
Stay frosty
Edit for weight and initial thoughts:
Flavour flavour flavour - sweet, fruity as you would expect and more, amazing to say she still needs to be cured!! Oh and then there’s the power… Jheez she was telling the truth with those double serrated leaves because wow does she pack a punch!! Outstanding!
I like her that much I’ve put in another 2 🤣👊🔥💚
Stay frosty
She’s a delight to have in your grow space from the beginning she has exceeded my expectations. Use as few high stress moments as is possible and you’ll be rewarded. I used only low stress training and very light defoliation to help this lady through her extraordinary life.
Had issues due to summer humidity however she had produced my (auto-period), record for a single plant harvest to date!
Stay frosty
@Middlereef, I do indeed - the soil gives the bean the darkness she needs, the light provides the warmth and when she needs the light it’s already there for her 👊💚
Thank you very much for trusting our strains, and sharing your experience.
And thank you very much again for the score of 8 out of 10!! 👏😍❤️
We hope you enjoy the harvest 👌
Sweet smokes!
