It requires years of studies in the law of inheritance and a grad in genetic engineering to lock down traits correctly on the first attempt. And normally such people don’t work in a Cannabis breeding lab 😉
Or you can also select the phenotypes during many generations, selecting each phenotypes from the same genotype years after years, like long time established seeds banks have done since the 90’s and before. 😊
