Started one of these too late last year (frozen out in mid-October), and then too early this spring (five nights at or below zero in mid-May dwarfed it). So, trying again.
Oct 1: running out of time but they are putting on weight.
A friend grew a six foot tall Membrana Hiper yielding 10 ounces dry. Mine won’t be that big but they’re doing alright.
Oct 6: watered with warmed (25 C) water while it was only about 5 C air temp this morning. Final days in season but a few plants can/should keep going a bit longer.
Not quite finished but fairly close by early October. Interesting plant formed three or four spires with no branching after being topped with buds along whole length of spire.
Plant certainly has potential to be a big yielder. A friend grew one this year and it was 6 feet tall and yielded 10 ounces dry (1.8 m and 280 g).
