Got this clone from the friend of a friend. Strain is called Elvis. He said he got the original mother in 2000. Based off the fact that this old timer has kept it around 20 plus years I figure it must be some decent pot. I put her in a 5 gallon pot to veg for a few weeks until I have her final home ready.

I am ready to transplant this girl. I have a 7 gallon plastic pot or a 30 gal tote from big lots I can drill holes in. Is the 30g overkill considering I only have 2-4 weeks until flower or will a increase in yield make it worth it? It has been in a 5g outdoors for 3 weeks.

Hey mate, I've looked into it and I believe you will get a serious increase in yield with an outdoor 30gal vs a 5gal. It's just how much soil you want to commit. Only you can decide that. But you will certainly get a bigger plant that's for sure. Hope this helps 🙂

Growing very well considering it has been overcast going on 5 days in a row. I spread the top apart and tied it down at the location I topped 2 weeks ago. Going to get it transplanted this weekend.

It feels like this has been the least sunny July in recent memory. Hopefully we get some good sun in august so this girl can finish strong. Still seems happy and bushing our very nicely, I think this will be a good yielder.

I have started finding these little white bugs under the leaves. More lower to the ground. Not sure what they are. I have been spraying with neem oil but it seems like they just hide until it dries up and then come back. Are these harmful to my plant? Can I get rid of them?

I ordered 300 live lady bugs on amazon. I dumped them out under the plant just before sun down and when I came back in the morning they had already completely swarmed the plant. After 2 days all but a handful of the lady bugs have flown away and there isn’t an aphid to be found. I highly recommend this strategy to anyone struggling with aphids. I am getting a little nervous this girl won’t finish before the weather turns. Already 3 weeks into August and no sign of flowering. Other than that this girl is a champion and is growing like crazy it seems to be bushing out on its own now with little to no training.

She started to shoot up early this week so i stripped everything off the bottom third of the plant. She has recovered nicely and is now in full flower. Many bud sights, things are looking good.

She is really stretching now, filling in quite nicely. Still not much of a smell. I found a few ladybugs still poking around and still no aphids so I think I’m good on that front. Some of the lower leaves are starting to yellow in thinking I should give her some food to finish flowering? Pretty impressed with this girls growth if she smokes nice I’ll definitely be looking for a few more cuttings next year.

Still growing in height a little bit, nodes are very tight. I’m hoping the ends of each branch will develop into solid bud, if they do they will be the size of beer cans. Leaves are still yellowing but the new growth looks healthy so I’m not panicking yet. I gave her 2 tsp of tiger bloom if that doesn’t work I will try adding 1tsp of big bloom

Should I be concerned by these yellow leaves? I gave her 2tsp of tiger bloom on Wednesday but some leaves still seem to be dieing off.

It's normal for lower leaves to yellow. I would recommend defoliating all those lower leaves so the plant needs less nutrients to feed all those leaves. Cheers.

The Elvis has stopped growing in height but she is fattening up very nicely. Colas are getting super frosty and it has such a unique smell, kind of like that blast of incense you get walking through the door of a head shop. I added some photos of other grows I have going. I have a Green Crack x Critical punch auto that was up on the roof with the Elvis. I cut the main top off and left the fluff on the bottom to mature. 6 days later and it has filled out nicely, probably going to chop the rest tonight. The other photo is of 2 headband clones I have growing on the back of my property. Nothing to interesting going on with them, pretty much just letting them do their thing.

Nights are starting to get cold. The buds are fattening up and starting to show some color. Rain on and off this week so I haven’t watered or fed anything. Still a couple weeks to go hopefully the frost holds off.

The weather has been terrible this week, cold and rain almost every day. I did some more defoliating in concern that I may get mold problems from all the rain. Starting to see the bud structure of this beauty and I am not disappointed. If we get a few more sunny days to finish I think this girl is going to be a real superstar. Fingers crossed

We has a decent week with some good sun, she is really fattening up now. Buds are very dense and quite sticky. I’m still thinking another 2 plus weeks. If we get any heavy rain past this point I will cover her with a tarp. Not feeding or watering anything and she seems happy.

Well today’s the day. I found a few spots of mold so I decided it should come down soon. About 10% amber Trichomes on the tops and all white on the lower stuff. I would have liked 3-4 more good sunny days but I didn’t want to lose anymore to mold. Buds are very dense and all uniform in size. Wet weight with stems was 1134 grams. I will add another update once the bud is ready to smoke.

Well the Elvis is ready. I ended up jarring just under 5 oz of large dense buds. I really wasn’t counting on this plant at all so I was very selective with what I kept and ended up sending over an once of the smaller stuff to the butter pot. She smokes like a good sativa, heavy burst of euphoria on exhale followed by a very uplifting cerebral high. Flavor is gassy/diesel up front with a spicy herbal note on exhale. All in all I am happy with the outcome but the bud is a little to intoxicating to be a daytime smoke which is what I was hoping for. I will probably sell most of this and keep an oz of the choicest nuggs to break up the monotony of smoking diesel every day lol.
