Panic mode. Red stems can mean soooo many things.
Red stems is like a warning light. Something is going to go horribly wrong.
Damping off is a thing. Its like root rot but it affects the stem when the top soil is too wet.
There were some mercy killings.
I picked up the Lucky13 pack of seeds. I had 13 seeds instead of the usual 10.
I wasn't going to plant all but again I was panicked that I could lose all the seedlings so I germinated the 2nd half of my seeds.
Treatment: I treated all the affected seedlings with hydrogen peroxide. Using a cotton swab and pouring hydrogen peroxide to the base of my seedlings.
As soon as they recovered I transplanted to a smaller container and dialed back my watering, lowered my humidity levels and increased my air circulation.
***I’m journaling this now in july but is was all happening the last week of April.
