I filled up the pots with the bottom half filled with Plagron All-Mix Soil, and the top half filled with Plagron Light-mix, then added mycotrex around the seeds. All five beans popped within 24 hours. Seeds are out soil since 7 days on these pictures. The weather was medium the first week.
Weather was good, as you can see the plants grew a lot the last few days. I'll be LST-ing, topping and fimming the plants in a few days, since they're auto's I'm already a bit late. I also added the two BioTabs Fertilizer Tablets per pot, and sprayed the plants with Boom Boom Spray (booster spray) a few day before these pictures were taken, that really seems to have given them an extra boost.
This whole grow is an experimental grow, the plants could start flowering any time now, I'm lucky it hasn't happened yet. Let's hope the topped and fimmed ones don't stunt, and hope the LST-ed one have some vegetation time left to develop a semi-bushy base. Sprayed again with Boom Boom Spray. If I'd have to give advice: just LST all of them at this point.
Late in week 5, 8 days after the latest pictures. The LST-ed plants are doing great, I've kept bending the lower branches almost daily to give them more sunlight. Couldn't be more happy with the sun the last days. I messed up de fim, cut away 80% of the top of the plant, not just the last node, it keeps going though. The topped plant is doing great, I would have topped more of them if I knew they had more time left in veg, typical high risk - high reward.
Plants are still doing great, still had enough veg left to shape the LST-ed ones a bit more. I also trained the topped plant by pulling two side branches to the side, seems to have helped quite a lot. The wrongly-fimmed girl just keeps growing as if nothing happened to her, probably slowed down the growth a bit but interesting to compare with the other plants.
Training is pretty much done, letting the girls shape up for now since we're a few weeks into flower. Did some defoliation but nothing major, just dead or weak leaves, mostly for air flow. Topped plant is looking very very good, glad how that worked out.
After my holiday (roommate took care of the ladies) I came across a tiny bit of mildew. Defoliated a bit more for extra airflow and trying to get rid of the mildew. Sprayed the plants with 40/60 milk/water solution, ordering the Cannacure spray just to be sure.
My balcony is starting to fill up quickly now! Spotted some more mildew here and there despite the milk/water solution, especially on the one plant. Sprayed with Cannacure two times now, still two spray sessions worth of concentrate left. Planning to do that before I leave next week (for 3 weeks).
Kept defoliating and spraying the plants with Cannacure every 3-4 days. I'll be on holiday tomorrow so my roommate will take care of the plants for 2.5 weeks. How much longer would you guys say until harvest? I'm not so sure, could be 10 days or 3 weeks if you ask me...
Very late update..These pics are from august the 13th. I was away on holiday for several weeks. I planned the grow so that the flowering phase would be in the most sunny months of the summer. I was very unlucky since it rained almost everyday through juli and august. I had no cover for the plants, and when put inside there was no ventilation, since my roommate is colorblind he didn't notice all the bud rot developing. I wondered if it would have made a difference though, the rain was just too bad. Eventually I had to throw away almost everything since the plants were invested with bud rot and mildew. Still a fun and nice project, will be back late march. Planning on doing two auto runs this season to spread my odds.
