Forgot to mention - C3 Buddy is an Auto Fem Unknown Strain (Aussie Baked Beans, sold as 3 mix pack) Notes: - C3 Buddy developing well. However, stem looks lanky...possibly stretching from too less light? - C2 Mary on Day 5 after transplant (now on week 3) looking greener and healthier. However, developed a white spot? - Ordered VIPARSPECTRA 600W Dimmable LEDs and a 60x60x160cm grow tent to work with for proper lighting and heating, wish me luck with set up! C2 Mary - Diagnosis of white spot leads me to believe it could be fungi. Hope not as it's only 1 spot and not mites either as I see no bugs around... - Possibly something was in the shot glass worth of compost tea I gave it C3 Buddy - Looking a bit stretchy, could possibly be from crap grow lights i got off Amazon. - Tested with Photone app on iphone, and lux reading was 1500-2000 at night (this was measured with phone right up against lights) - Will be ordering VIPARSPECTRA 600W LEDs from Amazon for a better grow light ($80) Update: To help with the stretchy stalk on C3, have started using my finger daily to push the stem lightly left and right.

Interesting week so far, some big developments: - 2x2 Grow tent + Viparspectra VA600 grow lights +oscillating fan arrived - Transplanted C3 Buddy (Auto) into a 8.5L (~3 Gallon) pot - Humidity is a bit low at ~40-45% (will look into a small humidifier for the 2x2 tent - Made some changes to watering following people's advice on here (started this week to water until pot is exhausting water from the bottom, then will only re-water when top inch is completely dry) C3 Buddy: - Very worried on Day 8 when first set of leaves started to point down - Thank you to people on here for helping diagnose issue to being the new lights I switched them over to (moved them from $20 Amazon Grow Lights to Viparspectra VA600 on lowest setting) - Transplanted to 8.5L pots - Thankfully, little shock as the baby started growing again after 2-3 days C2 Mary: - This bagseed....really not sure what's going on - 4 weeks have passed and it is still very tiny. Oh well, will just keep maintaining with watering to see how it goes for a few more weeks - For those following, this one is in a 6L pot with general Yates Potting Mix

C3 Buddy is growing well i think, have kept to an infrequent watering schedule (only when dry) and 24hr lights on. Have kept the dimmer on the first mark, so slightly increased intensity and moved the lights up. Added humidifier into the 2x2 and humidity now between 65-75% C2 Mary slowing, but tiny new sets of leaves showing...

Lights moved from 1st stage intensity to 2nd (33% to 66%) C3 Buddy (Auto Fem Mixed) really shooting up this week, tremendous growth. - Must have gotten fully accustomed to the new environment, once the humidifier was put in end of last week (has helped with keeping humidity around 60-65%). - Also added a gnat sticker just in case anything lurks around.. C2 Mary, no progress...thinking about getting rid of her (will let you guys know next week, but I guess that's what you get with a bagseed) Final Thoughts - Will likely give LST a go on C3 Buddy for the first time next week, hoping that I don't break anything...keep you all posted! - Overall, pretty excited on the progress so far with the grow on C3. Can't wait to see what the buds end up looking like, I have no clue since this seed came from a mixed auto pack!

Grow is coming along! Updates: - Got rid of C2 Mary, interestingly when I uprooted her the soil surrounding the roots were red-ish in colour...not sure what this means - Applied LST training for the first time this week (would love any feedback!) - Noticed some leaves showing yellow-ish tips...I'm getting a bit worried LST Update: - Applied LST for the first time on Day 27 to main stem, by next day the plant recovered nicely with main stem facing light again - Re-applied LST on Day 32 after few days of growth on the main stem. New exposure showing lots of new offshoot tops ready to soak in that sunlight! - Would love any feedback from the community on LST!! Yellowing Leave Tips (see Day 32 Photos) - Noticed a few leaves have yellowish tips and their tips are starting to point a bit downwards - I'm getting quite worried on whether this means they have: 1) Too much nutrients / Nute burn? 2) Light burn? 3) Nute deficiencies? Any tips on what I should to do about this?

Hey homie its definitely not a goner!! youre doing good just ran into an issue dont give up on her, give her a phd flush and check your run off ensure its not too high and is within .4 of what you put in. then i notice some deficencys all round, yellowing on outer leaves, some rust spots coming up and brighter faded colour leaves coming which is possibly nitro i believe so i reckon give her a flush and ensure her ph and ppms are running at a steady and ok level and then give her a half dose feeding maybe even 1/4 feeding to recommended feed guide if possible and she should straighten back out. will check back in future :) good luck mate

We're up to Week 5 post germination! Main Updates: - Acquired digital PH meter - Acquired Bloom Cal-Mag, PowerFeed All Purpose HydroPonic Fertiliser, Seaweed Concentrate - Gave C3 Buddy her FIRST feeding with cal-mag amendments this week (feeding spread over 2x one-third strength recommended dosage waterings) - Continued adjusting LST this week, every 3rd day (accidentally snapped a small branch...sad) - Growth pretty good, added ~8cm to height on main stem this week (maybe the nutrient issue hasn't impacted...but can't tell since this is my first grow) LST Update: - Added 2 additional tie down points for 2x branches - Progress on LST has been amazing, newly exposed bud sites have shot up only ~24hrs after opening up the space - Tucked away some fan leaves below other top sites to create more light exposure Nutrition Schedule (daily breakdown) - The goal this week was to address the yellowing leaves issues that started showing itself in Week 4 - Thank you to extroadinary community for suggestions on flushing, and PH check (only bought PH meter this week) **Schedule this week** 1. Sunday - Flushed pot with 10L tap water (ph 7.8-8.0), very basic I know. However, I did not have a PH meter at this stage. Added two handfuls of worm castings as top dressing 2. Monday - Applied 1/3 strength nutrient solution (all purpose) 3. Tuesday - No watering 4. Wednesday - Watered with Tap Water, no PH meter yet 5. Thursday - No watering 6. Friday - Applied 1/3 strength nutrient solution (all purpose + cal-mag). PH of nutrient solution was 5.5, run-off PH at 6.3 7. Saturday - No watering, but noticed that top inch of soil was already quite dry by night (the girls are drinking a lot more now!!) 8. Sunday - Applied 3/4 recommended strength Seasol Seaweed with 1/3 strength Greenspace 6:1:4 for extra Potassium and some health treatment (PH solution at 7.5) Concerns: - The yellowing issue seems to have gotten worse this week, but will wait a few extra days to see how it goes after the feeding I've given it this week - PH doesn't seem to be the issue (run-off PH at 6.3 on Friday, then was 6.5 on Sunday / Input PH was 5.5 on Friday and 7.5 on Monday)

Going into Week 7 now, white pistols are starting to emerge from the colas. C3 Buddy has grown heaps this week, smaller branches have started to stretch and grow to heights close to the main colas! Feeding schedule this week: - Alternate day light nutes (1/8th strength GreenSpace All Purpose) with Ph'd water (w/ nutrient solution at 6.5 to 6.3). - Other days just Ph tap water at 6.7-7.2 - Gave her a proper feed on Day 46 (2ML Cal - Mag, 2ML Green Space All Purpose, 1ML Power Feed), final Ph of solution was 6.2. Checked run-off PH at 6.2, might up the feeding water PH slightly next time Training: - Continued with LST, adjusting some tie points and pulling down new branches - Main cola has grown heaps, getting worried it might branch out more during flower and hit the lights (hope not) - Did some light defoliation, mainly removing the yellowed / rusted leaves (sigh, definitely learned a lot from this)

Updates: - Switched nutrients from PowerFeed Hydro to Canna Terra Flores, which arrived this week! Have heard great things from growdiaries, so thought to give it a shot! - Plant has stretched a lot this week (grown from 46 to 68cm!), possibly from the nutes injection I gave them last week Concerns: - Main cola is getting awfully close to LED lights (~26cm from closer point of light to plant), will it be ok or should I start dimming? - Bud production seems slow compared to other grows, am i unlucky or is there something sinister going on? - Soil gets very dense day after watering, plant is consuming water like nuts Nutrient schedule this week: - Sunday: Greenspace, worm castings - Monday: water - Tuesday: Greenspace (1/5th strength) - Wednesday: Canna Terra Flores (1/5th strength) - Thursday: water - Friday: Canna Terra Flores (full strength), Cal Mag (full strength) - Saturday: Seasol Seaweed (full strength) and worm castings

General Updates: - C3 Buddy is loving the Canna Flores nutes! - Sticking to water / feed / water.. schedule which seems to working well - Stretching has lessened this week compared to prior week, possibly time the buds will start fattening up! very excited! Training update: - Re-applied some LST this week, mainly to the main cola as it was getting too close to the LED lights (hmm, this has unfortunately added some shade to the lower buds) - Continued with a bit of extra defoliation on the bottom canopy...has definitely made watering / dressing top soil a lot easier (only removing fan leaves) Feeding Schedule: - Sunday: Canna Flores (full strength) - Monday: Canna Flores (1/4 strength) - Tuesday: water (ph 6.7) - Wednesday: water (ph 6.7) - Thursday: Canna Flores (1/2 strength) - Friday: water (ph 6.5) - Saturday: Canna Terra Flores (full strength), Cal Mag (full strength)

Hey All, The first grow has had a lot of ups and downs but has been an awesome learning experience! Was Wondering if anyone could give a steer on how many weeks left before Harvest? Also, when should I stop nutes and start flushing / giving only plain ph'd water? Thanks!

About another 3-4 weeks, perhaps 5, depending on the strain and your preferred effect from the flowers. Harvest when 95% of the pistils are brown for a THC induced mind bending head high and start plain water once the plant gets to about 90% brown pistils. Harvest when there are 100% brown pistils for a CBD induced sedating body stone and start with the plain water at around the 95% brown pistil stage. Let your preferred type of effect guide your harvest timing, - with the guides I have given you, "flushing" usually lasts about two weeks before harvest. Personally, I don't see a need to pH the flush water, I don't want ANY chemicals to afffect my buds right before harvest! Plain tap water is fine and pH will not affect your plant that close to harvest as all growing has stopped and it is only a matter of ripening, which pH does not act upon. I have been using the "pistil colour method" for 25+ years and am sure of its accuracy, unlike judging harvest timing based only on trichome colour, as some plants will never develop amber trichomes and others can have 75%+ amber trichomes after only 4 weeks of flowering. Besides, pistil colour is a direct reflection of plant health, where as trichome colour on its own is not, and it is plant health that determines trichome chemical composition, where as trichome colour does not effect trichome chemical composition. There are too many variables in plant genetics to say "harvest when there are 30% amber trichomes", as this broad statement can not hold true for every cannabis strain and every growing situation to make it a 100% reliable "rule". Pistil colour on the other hand is 100% observable and 100% identifiable, making it 100% quantifiable and for 100% of cannabis plants and is completely independant of genetics, growing conditions and calendars. The amount of people who I have seen in this forum, desperate to harvest near dead and grossly over mature plants while waiting for the magical "30% amber" to appear, as if it were the gospel truth, is staggering, and makes my heart ache to think they have spent all that time and effort and sadly ended up harvesting flowers that makes you fall asleep and do not get you high, due to greatly degraded cannabinoids as a result of being so over ripe and a plant that is so close to death that there is no active metabolism any more, which is what causes the cannabinoids to break down. Enough preaching! (but I do feel better now having got that off my chest!) Hope this helps, Organoman.

General Updates: - Water intake appears to have slowed a bit this week, soil remained slightly more moist than last week (assuming plant is getting closer to end of life) - Noticing lower canopy leaves are yellow more this week, hopefully not a sign of deficiency this late in flower but just normal lifecycle - Will begin to significantly reduce nutrient feed next week, hopefully be able to harvest in 1 or 2 weeks' time (super excited!!!) Training: - Extra defoliation on bottom canopy, removing 1 or 2 yellowing leaves this week - Trying to not stress the plant this late in flower Note for next run: more defoliation during week 7-8 on lower canopy. Particularly on popcorn bud sites and leaves to give better air circulation to lower canopy Feeding Schedule: - Sunday: Canna Boost (full strength), Canna Flores (half strength) - Monday: Canna Terra Flores (full strength), Canna Boost (full strength) - Tuesday: Canna Boost (full strength) - Wednesday: Canna Terra Flores (full strength), Canna Boost (full strength) - Thursday: Canna Terra Flores (half strength), Canna Boost (full strength) - Friday: Canna Terra Flores (half strength), Canna Boost (half strength) - Saturday: Canna Terra Flores (half strength), Canna Boost (full strength)

HOLY COW! Really surprised myself with this harvest (wet: 232g | dry: 102g) Overall, really happy with the outcome of my 1st grow! Decided to go with a wet trim to keep things simple for myself Harvesting technique: - Individually cut down branches - Wet trimmed fan leaves and provided a slight manicure to bud sites Drying Room: - Used existing grow tent - Added an additional intake fan for air flow - Humidity ranged between 55% to 70% RH - Temperatures were between 20 degrees to 24 degrees - Drying time was about 5 days (used stem method to check) Now in jars for a cure, and soon to be taste test!! Super Stoked 😁 PS. THANK YOU TO THE COMMUNITY FOR ALL THE HELP!!
