This seed was gifted from a local grower that owns a vape shop in my area. He had a BlackWater Kush plant that ended up with seeds at harvest and I was looking for some practice seeds so he gave them to me. This is what is left out of 12 plants. All either were male, not doing well enough to keep while they were seedlings, and had one recently herm. No signs of herming on this one and has been a pleasure to grow. Starting to show preflower pistils now and doing its stretch to get ready for flower. Going to most likely transplant right before flower into a 5 gallon pot with fresh nutrients and give them a beginning of flower nutrient/compost tea. Might have to finish this big girl inside if weather doesn't cooporate in October. Has a very potent grape gas smell already during the night and early morning. I can smell it as soon as I walk outside early in the morning.
Starting to go into flower. Growing very well and healthy. Last week I used neem oil and organic dish soap mixed with water and sprayed them twice 4 days apart and seemed to limit bugs and get rid of alot of the bugs on the plant. No negative effects at all. Sprayed at night right before dark. Going to be transplanting to 5 gallon before they fully go into flower this week and giving them a fresh pot of nutrients and living soil. Plan on nutrient/compost tea also in a few days after transplant.
Supercropped the main two tops in the beginning of the week. Also ammended the soil with a comost tea and a top dress of worm castings, kelp meal, 25 percent 3-3-3 and 75 perent 4-8-4. Also gave them a little bit of flower fuel seeing as they are preflowering and starting to throw out white pistils. Heat wave coming threw this week with 109 feel like temps tomorrow so watering them often and trying to keep them shaded. Should be in full flower by next week. It is looking beautiful and has fully recovered from the supercropping.
BlackWater OG Kush just started to flower. Throwing out nice big white pistils all over the plant. Just got done with probably one of the last big heat waves of the summer where temps were in the middle to upper 90's with very high humidy and feel like temps near 110. Temps are settling down this week to the upper 70s to low 80s during the day and high 50's at night, whih is perfect for flower. Hoping the humidity stays low as New England tendts to be very humid in the summer, but fall is around the corner. This plant has been very resiliant to almost anything that was thrown at it, so I am hoping it will be very resiliant during flowering. Took off a little less than a quarter of the bottom of the plant that will only be airy larfy bottom buds to redirect its energy to the top buds in hopes for really big colas. Smells very potent already and has a very nice grape smell to it. Very excited to see the flowers on this girl,.
WOW...that is all I have to say with this girl. She is absolutely gorgeous and is starting to pack on bud. She has been so resiliant to everything nature has thrown at her and has been a pleasure to grow. Pretty upset I don't have a clone of her to continue with her genetics, as she has been a pure joy to grow, but I am thinking about re-vegging her at the end of flower.
Not much to really say except for WOW! This girl is beautiful.
She is putting out so many trichomes already its amazing. This girl is very early into flowering and is already glittering and sparkling like a diamond. Its truly incredible. The genetics on this one seem to be absolutely incredible. Definately looks like she is going to be a keeper pheno. Starting to yellow a little bit on the bottom as this girl is eating up nutrients like a fat kid at a Thanksgiving buffet.
Awesome outcome. 65 grams of dry flower of some damn good outdoor bud. Quality was about a 7/10 and potency was there. Very good nighttime strain to sleep, but also is good for pain relief during the day without couch lock.
