I am trying out a new strain for my photo periods. I received this strain from attitude seed bank as a freebie. I am going to be growing this Maltezerz only using compost teas for feeding. I will not be top dressing like I usually do. Only going to be feeding organically brewed compost tea to her all the way until harvest. I have pre-charged the coco with organic dry amendments, worm castings, and some mycorrhizal fungi. This should hold her over until about day 40 where I will feed her, her first compost tea. Stay tuned! ✌️☺️

7 days from germination here. I have only been watering every other day with about 50 ml of water with pH of 6.5. The first compost tea is still about 30 to 40 days away. Until then I will be watering the same way less frequently but more amount of water gradually. Right now I have a 100-W fluorescent light supporting my young seedling. She shall do just fine under here until the flowering stage. ✌️

I am vegging under a small fluorescent lamp temporarily so the growth is pretty damn slow. But she'll make it through it and soon she will be under my SF2000 once some harvests take place.

Hello and thank you for stopping by. As I said last week the growth is slow due to the compact fluorescent light that I am using from agri-brite It's 120 w. So it's enough to get the job done for veg but as soon as my auto flowers are done I will be moving this girl and another girl from G13 labs in my 2x4 to veg for another couple weeks before I flip them into flower. I will be feeding them both only compost teas. Right now I am only giving her water pH of 6.5. about every third day with a 100 ml of water dripped in the middle and misted on top of the coco. Stay tuned for some compost tea action around day 30! ☺️✌️

Hello and thank you for stopping. This week is a tough week for her after switching from a mild CFL lamp to a high intensity LEC lamp. She got hungry immediately! Feeding her tonight as soon as the tea is done! ✌️

Hello thanks for stopping by. Here she is a handful of feedings later. I believe that top dressing during the VEG stage is the way to go over the teas. She loves the teas but it's alot more work for me to make the teas. I was feeding here with full strength brewed tea. A little bit every day in the mornings with about .50 liters to get her to green back up where I wanted her. Now that she is where I want her I fed her diluted half strength with water pH to 6.8 - 7.2 until a little run off occurs. So I can dry her coco out with out any burning from the full strength teas. She seems to be doing just nicely now with the new light and her medium replenished with food and bacteria to help the plants get the food. I will continue to feed her full strength teas everyday until the next dry out in a week. I will flower her as soon as I see some unsymmetrical internodes appear. Stay tuned! 😊

She loves the teas but it's alot more work for me to make the teas. I have been feeding with full strength teas every other watering. When I water I am watering with a target pH of 6.5. when not using the teas. I am starting to see first signs of staggered internodes so I am flipping to flower today on 9-26-21. I will be changing from alfalfa compost teas to seabird guano compost teas for the flowering stage. I am still using molasses, worm casting, and kelp meal. Stay tuned! 😊

Hello and thank you for stopping by here, I have been feeding this plant only compost teas besides the precharged dry amendments and worm castings that I mixed into my coco before I planted the seed. The veg has been fairly long due to a small compact fluorescent bulb I was using the first few weeks of veg. But now that she is under one of my bigger lights she is growing more vigorous. Since I flipped into flower I have been using half alfalfa and half seabird guano for my teas I always include kelp in veg and flower. I have been watering with 50% diluted strength compost teas every single watering. I use only enough molasses to bring down the pH to where I would like it to be. Molasses is a great ingredient to compost teas to really boost microbial life but if you use too much it will bring your soils acidity down too far where the plant can no longer uptake calcium and will show you signs of issues. I find that two tablespoons per 5 gallons brings the pH down to about 6.5. In my area my tap water pH comes out at 7.5. so adjust accordingly. I'm going to do the half alfalfa and half seabird until week 5 of flower and that is where I switch to only worm poop, sea bird, and kelp. It will be a phosphorus, potassium, and calcium heavy diet. Stay tuned ☺️

The veg has been fairly long due to a small compact fluorescent bulb I was using the first few weeks of veg. But now that she is under one of my bigger lights she is growing more vigorous. The Nutritional ratio chart above is off. It's a chart to show you approximately what ratio I use of the organic matter. It's not exact. Since I flipped into flower I have been using half alfalfa and half seabird guano for my teas I always include kelp in veg and flower. I have been watering with 50% diluted strength compost teas every single watering. I use only enough molasses to bring down the pH to where I would like it to be. You guys get to see some crops in the tent this time around! Gotta use the trellis net so won't be able to pull her out like I usually do. I have 3 other varieties growing with her. Yes I have been procrastinating the trellis but should be in here by next update. Probably won't have to use 2 now that I am so late with it. Stay tuned ☺️

Hi there, thanks for stopping by and checking out my Maltezerz from G13 labs. I have been feeding her only compost teas since she was a seedling besides the worm castings, organic amendments, and fungi I mixed to the coco before I sowed the seed. She is starting to give off some very unique orders. Smelling like grape jolly ranchers mixed with Skittles. Definitely a sweet candy smell that I may have to preserve via re-veg. The buds are looking dense and frosty for the start of week four. What you see in the picture is a properly brewed compost tea. I achieve this by first making sure it sits in a worm environment. Preferably 75°. Then I adjust the PH by adding molasses to the dechlorinated tap water. Preferably 6.5. Then I place my air stones directly underneath where the compost tea bag is placed. My tea bag consists of Worm castings, Kelp meal, and Seabird guano for now until about week 6 I will be adding some more amendments to the mix. Stay tuned 😎

Hi there, she is now in the middle of flower. I am seeing some rusty burns and yellow leaves. I have tested soil PH and EC. Everything checks out. I really think I she is a slower eater and is sensitive to the Guano. Been feeding full strength (2 TBSP) per gallon of water. My bigger crop (Cali Gold) and even my smaller crop next to her ( OG 13) is eating it up with no issues. I will have to start diluting Maltezerz and my God Berry to 1/4 strength or so after a diluted flush. Over all I am happy I am taking this challenge of using only compost tea's and am learning a lot about them. Also taking into consideration that different verities of cannabis consumes food at different rates of time. Another reason why I am on a decent size pheno hunt. I will gather my desired genetics and study them. Get them down to a science on how much food they actually consume. Instead of always growing random genetics. Another note this verity from G13 Labs is straight up smelling like grape candy. VERY strong smelling and am definitely going to reveg her. I am looking for unique terpenes and lots of trichome build up for my keepers. This one is checking the 2 boxes off. Stay tuned for some reduction of burning and progression of flowers blossoming ✌️😎

Hi everyone. It has been a good week for her. I have only watered with PH 6.5 this week to kinda calm down the burning that took place last week. Lesson learned. I will continue the feeding this week and then its plain PH'd water for the last week But WOW look at the colors that are coming through this week. I am showing off some of my other girls that are in the same area of the Maltezerz. They have been getting the same treatment except only Maltezerz and Godberry have the burns. This tells me I have a couple of light feeders in the bunch. The other 2 have eaten the feedings all up. I took clones of the Maltezerz and the OG because I am really enjoying the terpenes coming from both. The maltezerz has a very sweet grape candy smell that you don't see around alot. Almost like opening a bag of gummy bears but leaned more towards the grape. The OG - 13 on the other hand is smelling like lemon pine-sol and gasoline. Very very strong smelling. The Godberry also has a very pleasant freshly baked blueberry pie aroma. Makes my mouth water when i smell it. It would be a keeper if it wasn't for the leaf to bud ratio that is going on in this phenotype. Lastly the California Gold smells cheesy /skunky and is putting on some major frost on the flowers. Hope you enjoyed checking out my 2x4 garden! 💛💚❤️Happy grows❤️💚💛 ✌️😎💨

Hi everyone. The compost tea buds are just about ripe. They sure are smelling like it. This will be the last update until harvest. This whole run was fed by compost teas only. My first time doing this and turned out fairly good other than some excessive feedings that I learned from. I truly believe that we can grow high quality cannabis with just compost teas. As you can see here I pretty much accomplished that other than the eyesores from the burning in week 5. I took clones of the Maltezerz in week 3 of flower because I am really enjoying the terpenes coming from her. So far 3 out of 3 rooted. First time taking cuttings from a flowering plant. The maltezerz has a very sweet grape candy smell that you don't see around alot. Almost like opening a bag of gummy bears but leaned more towards the grape. Veg. Compost tea recipe: 3 gallons dechlorinated water 3 cups Worm castings 1/2 cup Alfalfa 1/4 cup Kelp meal 2 tsp high-brix molasses Dilute 50/50 with dechlorinated pH water 6.5 Everyother watering Flower compost tea recipe: 3 gallons dechlorinated water 3 cups worm castings 2 tsp Seabird guano (1.5 Tbsp was excessive for 2 genotypes) 1/4 cup kelp meal 2 tsp high-brix molasses Dilute 50/50 with dechlorinated pH water 6.5 Everyother watering in begining. Everywatering start of week 4 until we see major white trichomes. Then plane water for a week and a half. Hope you enjoyed checking out my 2x4 garden! 💛💚❤️Happy grows❤️💚💛 ✌️😎💨
